Mira

Mira

“She’s deliberately trying to provoke you.” Hicks leaned back on the sofa in the Duke of Ferrand’s mansion and looked at Ferrand, who was smoking across from him.

"Provoke me?" Ferrand asked, somewhat puzzled.

“She wants you to make a move on her during a cultural exchange between the two countries,” Hicks concluded after a moment’s thought.

"Let me make a move against her; it seems she has already set a trap for me."

Hicks glanced at Ferrand, "In the moment you were provoked by her, did you think about attacking her during the cultural exchange?"

"…yes."

"Then let's play along. I'll give her a big gift later."

“Well…” Ferrand forced a fawning smile, “where do you think would be a good location for this cultural exchange?”

“Then…let’s set it up in Simonton.” Hicks looked up through the smoke, his eyes fixed ahead.

After all, the Heart of Hess, which she longed for, was located there.

This time, he was going to kill her.

On the eve of the cultural exchange, envoys from various countries had arrived one after another.

The king hosted a banquet in the palace to entertain the envoys, and of course, the most important guest was Mira, the crown prince of Augusa.

The relationship between Augustia and Inoliel was not good; in fact, they were somewhat at odds.

Moreover, for many years, American cultural exchanges have only involved sending envoys. This time, for some reason, Mira also came along from Augusta. I wonder what kind of conspiracy is behind it.

Mira is like a combination of Tiff and Dope. Her facial features are very similar to Dope's, and her ambitious eyes are exactly the same as Tiff's. The difference is that Tiff sometimes tries to hide it, but Mira does not hide it at all.

Not only that, Mila's hair color is the same as Dope's, and her eyes are the same deep red as Tiff's.

Before Mira appeared, Tiff had imagined all sorts of her appearances: confident and composed, imposing without being angry, strategic and ruthless.

But when Mira appeared, Tiff was surprised by her appearance; in fact, no one expected her to be like this.

So... cynical.

She wore boots and a black dress embroidered with the coat of arms of the Augustan Empire, with envoys following behind her. Her tied-up red hair swayed and shone brightly under the lights.

She had a smile on her face, but upon closer inspection, the smile didn't reach her eyes; the corners of her mouth were slightly upturned, and her steps were somewhat lazy.

She walked to the center of the hall, casually nodded to the king, and the messenger behind her bowed to the king.

In such situations, even if Mira is the Crown Princess, she should bow slightly like the envoy, and her behavior cannot be considered impolite.

Because Augusia was not some small country that had to rely on others, but a power that could rival the Inolier Empire, it was not surprising that she, as the crown princess, nodded slightly.

But this was, after all, Inolier, and her nonchalant demeanor made the king a little wary. His smile froze slightly, but he then smiled and waved for the messenger to rise.

The king looked at Mira with a kind smile, his face crinkling into a smile. He asked somewhat casually, "In the past, it was always envoys from West Asia who came. Why did the crown prince come in person this time?"

“Your Majesty, I am very interested in some of Ino’s literary works. I have read all the books that the envoy brought back before. I am also very interested in Ino’s clothing and would like to learn more about it myself,” she said with a smile.

"Hmm..." The king nodded in a perfunctory manner, as if he believed her words.

"Since living in the palace makes it inconvenient for you to personally learn about Ino's culture, it would be better to live somewhere else, which would be more convenient for you to come and go."

The king was really worried about her living in the palace, so he found an excuse to prevent her from doing so.

The king looked at Tiffany and said, “The Duke of Stryker’s mansion has a large collection of books. Why don’t you stay at the Duke of Stryker’s mansion for the time being, Princess?”

He didn't trust any ducal mansion; he preferred to keep them under his watchful eye, in the residence of his "confidants."

Mira didn't care and readily agreed.
