Lin Jingbei has a very sensitive nose. He came back just when the mung bean cake was ready.
I just played basketball and I was sweating all over.
Song Chen disliked his strong smell and moved closer to Lin Lu: "Go take a shower first, then come out to eat?"
Lin Jingbei picked one up and put it in his mouth: "Did you make this? It's quite delicious."
Song Chen didn't dare to take credit for it alone: "Your mother and I did it together."
Lin Jingbei: "Thank you, I'll go take a shower first."

Lin Lu was speechless: "Whatever she said, she would bring it up. I'm married too, what's there to say?"
Song Chen wanted to make a fuss, as he felt that Lin Lu was hiding a lot of things from him.
He didn't dare ask her about her life in Kyoto during those years. There must have been a lot of people trying to poach him.
Song Chen's conspiracy theory: "She doesn't seem to particularly like you. Why would she introduce you to her brother? Does her family have some shady intentions, like tricking you into marrying a fool?"
Lin Lu: "Their family was very rich at the time, and her brother was a soldier."
Song Chen had nothing good to say about his love rival: "Fortunately you didn't agree, otherwise there would be a bigger conspiracy waiting for you."
"So you're saying I don't deserve someone better." Lin Lu seized the opportunity and immediately hit back.

"Wow, so cultured." Lin Lu talked a lot more today.
"Are you mocking me?" Song Chen sat on the side of the sofa, fidgeting with her hair.

As the two were talking, Lin Jingbei took a shower and came out.
Song Chen gave him a look and said, "The mung bean soup is in the well room. Go get it yourself."
Everyone had eaten, and only Lin Jingbei's portion was left.
The child was just a grown-up boy, at the age where he could eat his father out of money. He gulped down two bowls of soup in just a few mouthfuls. The same thing happened with the mung bean cakes. He stuffed a piece into his mouth and chewed it twice, and it was gone.
Song Chen frowned as he watched: "Aren't you choking?"
Choking, of course I choke.
He would drink a glass of water for every piece of mung bean cake. After eating several pieces of cake and several glasses of water, his hungry stomach was full.
"Eat slowly, am I starving you?" Song Chen said again.
Lin Jingbei ate and drank his fill and burped.
"I was so hungry just now." He looked around after not seeing Li Xianglian for such a long time since returning. "Where's my grandma? Where did she go?"
Song Chen: "Growing vegetables in the fields."
There would be no good thing if he sat with the couple, so Lin Jingbei wanted to find something to do.
"Then I'll cook tonight."
He had done it before when he was too busy, so Song Chen was very confident in his craftsmanship.
"Okay, go do it. Your mother has never been honored by you."
Lin Jingbei was really speechless about his father.
Lin Lu felt quite ashamed at once. Everyone else in the family had their own duties, but she did nothing but eat.
After studying for so many years and going to school for so many years, in the end I can only be a parasite.
This was something that Lin Lu's pride in those years could not allow.
She became more determined to tutor the two of them.

When she got to the yard, she couldn't wait to shout, "Brother Jingbei, Aunt Lulu, Uncle Song, Xiaoxiao is here! I got a big red flower."
Li Xianglian pushed open the door and asked, "Are your mung bean cakes ready? Xiaoxiao is here, let her try some."
"Xiaoxiao is here! Come here." Song Chen called out.
Xiaoxiao turned around proudly, showing herself 360 degrees, trying to let everyone see her big red flower.
"I'm a good kid!"
"Great!" Lin Lu praised without any sincerity.
