Chapter 40 Seeking Justice for Her
Soon, they entered the military camp.
In the very center was a wide avenue that could accommodate eight horses at the same time, dividing the entire military camp into east and west sides. Directly in front was the central command tent, and on both sides were spacious training grounds where several military formations were currently drilling. Further away were the kitchens and stables for logistics and supplies.

Huang Gongyi said, "Tie them up behind the stable."
As he spoke, he grinned and said, "These guys dared to make a move on the young mistress, but the brothers have already stood up for her."
Shang Ruyi was taken aback—to avenge her? What did that mean?
Yuwen Ye said calmly, "Let's go take a look."
So they dismounted and the two men led them toward the stables. As soon as they got close, they smelled a strong odor of horse manure and urine, which made Tushe'er gag.
The two adjutants glanced at her and couldn't help but laugh.
But upon closer inspection of Shang Ruyi, they were somewhat surprised. This young mistress, who appeared to be of noble birth and even somewhat delicate, was completely unaffected by the smell and walked with them through the muddy ground mixed with a bit of horse manure, her expression unchanged.
Huang Gongyi said in a low voice, "This young mistress... grew up on the horse farm?"
Da Bo waved to him, then led the group to the back of the stable. Sure enough, there was a simple fence made of several wooden stakes, and inside were dozens of prisoners. Moreover, it doesn't appear to be a fighting injury sustained during capture.

Shang Ruyi's expression changed.
Yuwen Ye looked down at her: "What's wrong?"
