Chapter 92 is ruined. "We? Do you mean you and Wei Danxin?!"...
No matter how arrogant Bitao was, in this Star Boundary, she was only at the peak of the Human Realm.
He can't even reach the Earthly Realm. He'd be exhausted just from taking that silly bird Mingguang for a short while. How could he possibly take on the Xuanmen Ancestor who has been entrenched here for over two thousand years all by himself?
In many instances, compared to Zhan Kui's audacity, Bi Tao appeared somewhat timid and incompetent.
For example, at this moment... Bitao just wanted to test Liuxing's reaction and took the opportunity to propose a duel with him.
Previously, when fighting against Chang Gui, Meteor's swordsmanship was very strange, and Bi Tao wanted to investigate it further.
Before she could even finish speaking, Zhan Kui assumed that Bi Tao was going to challenge the Xuanmen Patriarch to a duel.
Without any weapons, he rushed up with a broom and hit Meteor's head three times.
Each strike was incredibly powerful, clearly intended to be a desperate effort; the wooden handle of the broom even broke.
It makes a crisp, cracking sound.
...It's a ripe melon.
Bitao: "Hey! Hey hey!" What are you doing? You're the one who's my ancestor!
Bitao quickly stopped Zhan Kui, or rather, stopped Zhan Kui from continuing to strike the meteor.
Zhan Kui, holding the broken broom handle with the severed tip pointing at Liu Xing, shielded Bi Tao behind him and said, "You go first, leave this to me!"
Meteor covered his head, his expression towards Zhan Kui indescribable.
Zhan Kui stared back at Liu Xing with his big eyes, looking fierce, but even when he made a serious expression, he still looked cute rather than cold.
What she didn't say was: He loves me, and he can't bear to kill me.
Bitao was both amused and exasperated, and quickly explained, "I just wanted to play a joke on Senior Brother Liuxing on a whim, neither of us intended to fight!"
"Senior Brother Meteor, are you alright?"
Bitao threw the Heavenly Mace on the ground, walked up to Liuxing, pried open his hand covering the back of his head, and bit her lip to stop herself from laughing.
Three huge bags.
Meteor's handsome face twisted slightly, and his expression as he looked at Zhan Kui was indescribable.
Even though he was beaten up for no reason, there was no malice or malice in his eyes when he looked at Zhan Kui; there was only helplessness.
Bitao and Liuxing were very close, so she could see his expression clearly and carefully analyze it.
Zhan Kui, still clutching his stick and ready to fight Meteor for three hundred rounds: "..."
Zhan Kui quickly threw away the stick, rushed forward, grabbed Liu Xing's head, pressed him down and bent over, and started massaging him with his small hands.
"Hahahaha... It's a misunderstanding, I thought you two were going to fight. Senior brother, there's nothing wrong with the back of your head, it's just... it's a little bumpy."
Meteor was quite tall with a straight back, and when Zhan Kui pressed him down like that, he looked like he was about to kneel on the ground.
But he didn't struggle at all, grimacing as Zhan Kui rubbed him haphazardly.
After Zhan Kui let go, he slowly straightened up, sighed, and picked up the dry bamboo leaves from the ground.
He bowed to Bitao and said, "Fellow Daoist Yue, I wonder who you were just now..."
Bitao chuckled and said, "I... well, it was that day when we were fighting the mad ghosts in the forest. Senior Brother Meteor knocked out the tiger's fangs with his sword and saved me. His swordsmanship was exquisite. When I saw this Heaven-Reaching Mace, I was itching to use it myself and wanted to ask Senior Brother Meteor to teach me a few moves."
Upon hearing this, Meteor said good-naturedly, "I see, but... let's do it a little later. Bamboo leaf cake requires soaking and steaming rice, and we also need to grind some fine sugar and salt."
Meteor turned to Zhan Kui and asked, "Do you want something sweet or savory this time? If it's sweet, do you want red bean paste or honey? If it's savory, do you want it filled with fish or a mix of lean and fatty pork?"
Even though Zhan Kui was so shameless, he always acted with a sense of righteousness and self-righteousness.
After being hit by her for no reason, Liuxing asked her in such a gentle and soft voice, which made Zhan Kui feel embarrassed.
She scratched her head and said, "...Then let's have a little of everything?"
Meteor nodded and said to Bitao, "Then I'll go get this first, and we can spar with Fellow Daoist Le later after we've eaten the bamboo leaf cake."
Meteor walked downstairs with a leisurely and unhurried pace, carrying a bundle of dried bamboo leaves.
Bitao and Zhankui stood facing each other in the main hall.
Zhan Kui: "Didn't you want to fight him one-on-one?"
Bitao: "Do I have three heads and six arms? Do you think I can fight one-on-one?"
A moment later, Bitao picked up the Heavenly Mace and placed it back on the altar of the Xuanmen Patriarch.
Zhan Kui tried to put the broken broom handle back together, saying as he did so, "Peach...actually...I think..."
“Meteor probably isn’t ‘that person.’ That person has turned this astral plane into this state; they must be extremely vicious. Meteor… don’t you think he’s a little too good?”
Zhan Kui sighed, "Sometimes he's so good to me that I can't bear to mess with him."
Upon hearing this, Bitao raised her eyebrows high, her peach blossom eyes filled with astonishment.
This was the first time in Zhan Kui's life... or rather, the first time in Bi Tao's memory that Zhan Kui spoke well of someone else.
Even in this competitive arena, when everyone doubted Meteor.
Zhan Kui glanced at Bi Tao and threw the broom handle that couldn't be pieced together on the ground.
She said, "I really intended to marry him before I removed the lightning seal."
Zhan Kui frowned and said seriously, "You know how much of a womanizer I am. Back then, Meteor was like a ghost, so ugly that it angered both heaven and man."
“But he…” He is too good.
"He can cook every dish that people can name, and even those that they can't, and every single one of them is delicious."
"No matter what I ask for, no matter how absurd it sounds, he will find a way to meet it."
“When I went out with him to train, we just traveled around and enjoyed the scenery. In the end, I was also able to get a share of spirit stones, and he always gave me his share.”
"My clothes, food, shelter, and even every piece of clothing I wear are all hand-sewn by him. I like red, and among all the clothing in Wenxin Pavilion, only my clothes are specially made."
"He sewed it by hand."
"I have never worn a dress that someone else sewed stitch by stitch by hand."
"I thought to myself, 'So what if it's ugly? It'll all look the same with the lights off anyway...'"
Zhan Kui walked up to Bi Tao and said, "I told him to his face that he was too ugly and I didn't want to marry him. I couldn't bring myself to do it. I even asked him to be my father, and he agreed."
Bitao: "..." You really went too far.
Zhan Kui said softly, "He's such a coward, he couldn't possibly be the patriarch of the Xuanmen sect..."
Suddenly, Bitao reached out and hugged Zhan Kui.
The dress, stitch by stitch... she was wearing it, so how could she not understand Zhan Kui's wavering?
Zhan Kui... also met his demise.
Zhan Kui was just being hugged by Bi Tao when she inexplicably laughed twice. She quickly fell silent and hugged Bi Tao back.
Tightly.
Deep inside, there was an unprecedented bitterness and a fear that someone who had always acted recklessly should not have felt.
Was she really just there to enjoy returning to the Wenxin Pavilion?
The Way of Heaven is mighty.
Bitao rubbed Zhan Kui's head and sighed inwardly once again.
Even if Heaven gave Zhan Kui ten or eight peerless beauties, Zhan Kui might not necessarily succumb to the "calamity".
She was a womanizer, but fate had other plans and paired her with an ugly man.
At first, Bitao thought that Zhan Kui would be like the first competition, and that he would not suffer any hardship because of his own luck.
But what these wild and untamed fairies find most irresistible in their lives is boundless indulgence and support.
Regardless of romantic love, the meteor's goodness was enough to make Zhan Kui doomed.
Every time she gets into trouble, someone takes the blame and protects her, jokingly saying, "I'll marry you sooner or later."
It turned out to be a genuine feeling she herself had never realized before.
But Bitao couldn't find a single word to comfort her.
However, Zhan Kui's heart has always been so vast that it can encompass the heavens and the earth.
During dinner, when they were eating bamboo leaf cake, Zhan Kui started nitpicking again: "This red bean paste isn't even ground properly, I can still taste the bean skins! Ugh!"
Meteor silently took a towel and wiped away the bean skins that Zhan Kui had spat onto the table.
She looked at Bitao apologetically and said, "I was in a hurry and didn't peel it completely."
"You can try this." Meteor placed the rope tied with bamboo leaves not far from Bitao. "It's glutinous rice with pork trotter filling."
This thing can actually be made into pig's trotters?!
Bitao didn't have much of an appetite, but when she heard it was pig's trotters, she insisted on trying some.
This is fucking delicious...
The glutinous rice was probably soaked in oil, and it was mixed with the soft, gelatinous texture of the pig's trotters, making them indistinguishable, and even better than the pig's trotters in terms of texture.
Besides bamboo leaf cake, there were several other dishes on the table. Liuxing ate two pieces of bamboo leaf cake and then picked out fish bones for Zhankui.
Bitao wanted to maliciously speculate that the shooting star was an act.
But Zhan Kui didn't even look at him. In the midst of his "busyness," he opened his mouth at will and was fed a bite of fish meat that had been deboned and dipped in soup. He ate with great satisfaction, his big eyes squinting. Bi Tao knew that their daily interactions must be like this.
Even when Meteor made such flattering or even somewhat ambiguous gestures, her movements were elegant and graceful, without making Bitao, an observer, feel uncomfortable at all.
Because the way he looked at Zhan Kui didn't have the possessiveness a man might have when looking at a woman; it was pure and natural, like taking care of a helpless child or a puppy that couldn't bite a hard bone.
Bitao tried her best to ignore the taste of the incense in her mouth and ate two sweet red bean paste and bamboo leaf cakes.
The bamboo leaves were tightly wrapped and tied with thin hemp rope. When opened, the red bean paste filling was not visible; only scattered pieces of dried fruit could be seen.
After biting into it, you can taste the sweet red bean paste filling, and occasionally bite into some dried fruit. The peaches can be tasted as being made from sour and astringent fruits that cannot grow in the mountains and forests and are dried.
The sourness blends perfectly with the sweetness of the red bean paste, creating a delightful sweet and sour flavor that also helps to cut through the richness.
Bitao exclaimed, "I never expected that Senior Brother Liuxing would not only have unparalleled swordsmanship, but also be so good at making desserts."
Meteor smiled but didn't say anything. Zhan Kui chimed in, "He can do a lot of things!"
Meteor touched the corner of her mouth with a towel.
He said gently, “Didn’t Fellow Daoist Yue say he wanted to spar with me? The moon is high in the sky now. I’ll have someone pour a pot of tea, and we can move this small table to the corridor so my junior sister can have some tea while Fellow Daoist Yue and I have a friendly exchange.”
So the three of them actually moved the table to the corridor. Zhan Kui ate there, but kept his eyes fixed on Bi Tao and Liu Xing.
She was afraid that the two of them would actually fight, and if they did, she would help Bitao immediately.
Bitao was holding a sword from the Wenxin Pavilion, while Liuxing... he directly took a Tongtian Mace.
Before he began to act, he held the Tongtian Mace and skillfully swung it halfway in the air, using his arm to move his wrist bones. Then, the four edges of the Tongtian Mace, which resembled scales, all seemed to come alive and began to spin.
Meteor bent his knees and lowered his waist, his starry eyes and white teeth curving slightly at Bitao as he assumed an extremely pleasing preparatory battle stance.
The buzzing sound of spinning caused the wood spirit on the meteor to flow along with the Heavenly Mace.
He did not move, but his robes fluttered, just like a gentle breeze in the daytime shaking the portrait on the eighth level of the octagonal eaves of the Wenxin Pavilion.
The powerful and vast wood spirit rushed towards Bitao, but unlike the bright and radiant metal spirit, which was always fierce and boundless, it was full of simplicity and all-encompassing nature, enveloping Bitao with a heavy yet gentle force.
Bitao drew her sword, using the wood spirit as if it were a metal spirit, and a chilling aura tore through the wrapping.
The two quickly engaged in combat.
With a clang, Bitao took two steps back.
The sword in his hand broke.
Zhan Kui nervously slammed the bamboo leaf cake onto the table. Bi Tao glanced at her and then sat back down.
Keep eating.
Bitao lowered her head, staring blankly at the broken sword in her hand.
Her sword wasn't a good one. Although Meteor's cultivation was indeed much higher than Bitao's, it was only at the Earthly level.
Even the wooden spirit wrapped around her sword shouldn't have broken so easily.
While aliens or heavy weapons may have an advantage in certain situations during combat, they are mostly not agile enough and require a high level of physical strength and skill in using the weapons.
This is precisely why sword cultivators and saber cultivators are the most common in the cultivation world of the myriad realms, because these two types of weapons are light, flexible, and easy to control.
But when Meteor fought her just now, he didn't even change his moves.
Moreover, the sword's break was clean, not because it couldn't withstand the weight of a heavy weapon like the Heaven-Piercing Mace, but because it was twisted by the whirlwind created when the Heaven-Piercing Mace spun...
Bitao looked surprised and looked up at the shooting star.
Meteor threw another sword to Bitao, and the two clashed again.
Bitao began to try to dodge the whirlwind brought up by the Tongtian Mace. The two moved swiftly and exchanged more than a hundred blows in the blink of an eye.
"Clang!"
Then, as the two turned around and struck each other in mid-air, Bitao's sword broke again.
"The Heaven-Piercing Mace is heavy, which gives it an advantage when fighting against ordinary swords and blades."
Meteor exuded a calm aura, raised his hand and beckoned towards the corridor, and soon another cultivator from Wenxin Pavilion presented him with a new sword.
Bitao originally intended to test Liuxing, but the fact that her sword was broken twice aroused her wildness, and the two fought each other again.
This battle lasted longer, and Bitao quickly avoided the moves used by the broken sword in the previous two battles.
"Clang!" The sword broke.
Zhan Kui, her belly bulging, leaned back in her chair watching the two fight. At first, she was worried, but now she just thought the two were entertaining her with their sword dance.
It's very pleasing to the eye.
Bitao wore a pink dress, resembling a peach branch broken by a gale. She wielded a long sword with ease, her movements graceful and elegant, yet her attacks were swift and fierce, like silver snakes dancing wildly.
Meteor, dressed in the red and black attire of the Wenxin Pavilion, leaped and flipped gracefully, her movements as elegant as a jade tree standing tall in the wind. Her Tongtian Mace was mostly defensive, yet it moved with the force of a thousand pounds, its power unstoppable.
"Clang!"
"Clang!"
"Clang!"
The two fought fiercely, eventually ceasing to use their spiritual energy and resorting to pure combat techniques.
Bitao broke countless swords, and Meteor was forced back several times by her attacks, causing the Heaven-Piercing Mace to fall.
The two of them only stopped when Zhan Kui was almost asleep.
Meteor bowed to Bitao and said, "Fellow Daoist Le's swordsmanship has reached a state of perfection, unparalleled in the world."
Looking at Liuxing, Bitao also cupped her hands and said, "Senior Brother Liuxing's use of the Heaven-Reaching Mace is truly divine, all-encompassing, and has reached the pinnacle."
After exchanging pleasantries, the two smiled at each other and returned to the table. Meteor then had a cultivator from the Inquiry Pavilion bring over some warm tea.
It was past midnight.
When Zhan Kui woke up, the two had finally finished fighting. He yawned and asked, "Who won now that it's over?"
Bitao didn't speak, picked up her teacup and drank it all in one gulp. She then reached out and pulled Zhan Kui up, saying to Liuxing, "Thank you for your guidance, Senior Brother Liuxing. I have benefited greatly today. I'll take her back to sleep now."
Meteor nodded, got up to help Bitao support Zhan Kui, and escorted the two to the door before turning to leave.
Zhan Kui had only slept outside for a while, but now he was refreshed and followed Bi Tao, asking in a low voice, "What exactly did you find out? Who won between you two?"
Bitao sat at the table and said, "Mingguang and I have been practicing the top-tier techniques of the Heavenly Realm since we were young. If Mingguang and I fight without using spiritual power and rely solely on our techniques, he can't beat me."
Bitao's strength lies in her ability to switch between any martial arts technique she has practiced at any time during combat.
They might even merge and transform two different techniques, or learn the opponent's moves on the spot to counterattack.
Bitao said, "But I have fought Meteor several times, with both wins and losses. I have never seen many of his moves before, so they must be his own creations."
"Wow, he's pretty good. So what exactly did you find out?"
Bitao looked at her for a while, then remained silent for a moment before saying, "Well... he's pretty amazing."
Zhan Kui looked completely bewildered.
Bitao then said, "His cooking is really delicious. I wonder what delicious food will be served tomorrow."
Zhan Kui rubbed his still-digesting stomach and wholeheartedly agreed: "I'll tell him what you want to eat first and have him prepare it!"
Bitao actually ordered two of her favorite dishes, both of which were meat.
Zhan Kui happily went to instruct Liu Xing to prepare tomorrow's menu.
For several days in a row, Zhan Kui and Bi Tao lived a life even more carefree than in the heavens.
She eats all kinds of delicious food, and when she's stuffed, she spars with Meteor. Having read and practiced countless amazing martial arts techniques since childhood, Bitao benefits from every battle with him.
Later, she was no longer limited to techniques; Bitao also practiced hand seals with him.
Meteor's patience was outrageous. He stayed up all night drawing a picture, creating a magic seal suitable for the Peach Wood Spirit.
It replaced the hand seals she had mechanically applied using the Golden Spirit. After forming the seals, not only was the Wood Spirit consumed halved, but its power was also greatly increased.
Bitao now understands why Meteor is so respected and sought after by cultivators in the cultivation world.
He's like a warm breeze, not very noticeable. In the sweltering summer, he occasionally brushes against your cheek, and you don't even feel anything special.
But at a certain moment, such as when you are crossing a cold winter and your whole body is freezing, this gentle breeze will quietly blow into your heart.
No one could dislike a person like that after spending just a few days with him.
In just five or six days, Bitao has gained a lot of weight.
He and Zhan Kui lay under the eaves of the third-floor corridor, drinking tea and stealing half a day of leisure from their busy lives.
Zhan Kui, munching on a small, thumb-sized snack, asked Bi Tao, "Didn't Senior Brother Liu Xing go to chop wood? There are plenty of Soul-Returning Wood around Wenxin Pavilion, why hasn't he returned yet?"
Bitao withdrew her gaze and looked at Zhan Kui: "Are there more souls to be sent into reincarnation?"
"Yes, it was brought by a group of exorcist cultivators who returned yesterday. There are about a dozen complete souls that can be sent into reincarnation."
Zhan Kui had long been accustomed to the Wenxin Pavilion sending souls into reincarnation.
With her eyes half-closed and leaning back in her chair, she said, "Tonight I want to eat steamed dumplings made with coarse rice flour and wild vegetables."
Just then, a clap of thunder sounded from the grove of Resurrection Trees in the distance from the Wenxin Pavilion.
A beam of lightning was drawn down from the sky and struck the Resurrection Tree, and soon blue smoke rose from there.
Bitao lay beside the corridor, gathering her spiritual power between her eyes to gaze into the distance. When she saw the shooting star, she stood not far from the Resurrection Tree and directed the cultivators of the Inquiry Pavilion to cut down the Resurrection Tree that had been struck by lightning.
Bitao looked up again, gazing at the overlapping and intertwined chains hanging from the octagonal eaves of the Wenxin Pavilion, and stared at the faded talisman cloth on them, saying, "It's fastened."
"What?" Zhan Kui asked Bi Tao.
Bitao said, "I need to go back to the Supreme Sword Sect."
Zhan Kui sat up straight, his previously relaxed expression instantly turning serious.
Bitao looked at her, her expression more serious than she had in recent days: "There are some things I need you to do."
Night falls.
Meteors descend upon the underworld, sending souls into the cycle of reincarnation.
Bitao rode her horse, with several packages on its back, straight towards the Supreme Sword Sect.
Bitao traveled day and night, and returned to the Supreme Sword Sect in two days and two nights.
Not long after she entered the mountain, a group of severely injured cultivators also came to Wenxin Pavilion for help.
The leader was a body cultivator from the Thunder Sect, covered in blood. After rushing into the Heart-Questioning Pavilion, he grabbed Meteor's leg and cried, "Pavilion Master Meteor! In the Sunrise Kingdom, there is a demon mother who does evil all over the mountains, devouring three hundred living people every day!"
"By day they devour living people, and by night they can produce three hundred evil spirits. These evil spirits enter the city and devour the souls of the living. The surrounding towns couldn't report it in time, and several cities have already become ghost towns!"
"On our way back to the sect, we heard the news that we had originally set out to kill the Ghost Mother, but because she was too ferocious, most of the cultivators were trapped in her lair!"
"The sect leaders and elders of all the sects have already been notified to go there..."
The cultivator cried out in tears, "Senior Brother Meteor, when you slew the evil ghost Xi, you said that if cultivators from other sects were ever in trouble, the Heart-Questioning Pavilion would repay you with utmost loyalty. Does that still stand?!"
"Fellow Daoist Yu, please rise quickly." Meteor carefully avoided the cultivator's wounds and helped him up, saying, "Of course it counts."
"Give me some time to gather the cultivators of the Inquiry Pavilion and select and prepare the magical artifacts."
"Your injuries are quite serious, Tengu, quickly take these fellow Daoists inside to treat their wounds..."
When Zhan Kui came down from the second floor and saw these people, his pupils suddenly dilated.
These people... are all immortals.
Previously in Mengxia Village, Mingguang planned to fabricate a "cause of evil spirits" once he found a suitable place to set up the formation, so as to lure the sect leaders, elders, and people from Wenxin Pavilion to the area.
The formation was used to determine whose body the Xuanmen patriarch had possessed, and who was stirring up trouble and killing people behind the scenes.
The fact that these immortals are coming now proves that... the hunt for the Xuanmen patriarch has begun.
Zhan Kui looked at the oblivious shooting star.
For a moment, her expression was one of sorrow and bewilderment.
As always, Meteor was quick to help others in their time of need and worried about their dangers, and had already mobilized the cultivators of the Inquiry Pavilion to get things done.
He ordered everyone to get ready to go, and even personally treated their wounds, gently inquiring about the details of the evil deeds committed by the demon mother.
Zhan Kui also understood why Bi Tao had left overnight; she must have gone to meet up with Ming Guang and the others.
Zhan Kui realized that Bi Tao had clearly seen the emotion Bi Tao felt for Liu Xing, yet she still entrusted him with such an important matter…
She closed her eyes briefly, then opened them again, and all the hesitation in her eyes turned into cunning.
Clutching her stomach, she complained, "Ouch, ouch! Senior brother, did you give me something leftover? My stomach hurts so much!"
As Zhan Kui spoke, he ran upstairs, crawled into the small latrine, sat on the chamber pot, and didn't come out until the person below had finished urinating.
Before Liuxing was about to set off, he ran into the house to find Zhan Kui.
Zhan Kui covered his mouth with his arm, mimicking the sound of farting, and also made painful groans.
Meteor didn't go into the inner room. He stood at the doorway, and after hearing the sound, he remained silent for a moment, his expression one of self-reproach.
He told the truth: "There were indeed two dishes this morning that were leftovers from last night... I reheated them."
Life was tough, and Meteor couldn't bear to waste the hard-earned food, but she simply couldn't eat it herself.
Knowing that Zhan Kui had a good appetite and a healthy stomach, I added some new ingredients to those two dishes in the morning and served them to her to make them look fresh.
Meteor called out guiltily to Zhan Kui, "Junior Sister..."
He said, "I must set off as soon as possible. Wuman Mountain, where the Ghost Mother appeared, is not far from here. If we go quickly, we may be able to save those trapped fellow Daoists."
"I've left some people to guard Wenxin Pavilion, and I've also had them prepare your medicine." "Your stomach won't hurt anymore after you drink the medicine."
"Ah." Zhan Kui moved his hand away, stared at the ground, and blinked his big eyes.
When I heard the footsteps of the shooting star disappear.
Zhan Kui moved his lips, opening his mouth like a thirsty fish but making no sound.
Even though she has never held any celestial office and has not made any significant contributions to the world, she is still a celestial being.
Just like how much Bingjing loved her husband, if she learned that her husband had been transformed into an evil spirit, she would still personally use lightning to send him to his death.
How can a celestial being in the heavens disregard the suffering of all living beings for personal gain?
Even if Zhan Kui was moved by the meteor, he would not say anything to give the other party any hints at this crucial moment.
Bitao has not mentioned any plans in the past few days, and has only spent her days eating and drinking with Zhankui. This is the last "enjoyment" time she has left for Zhankui.
Zhan Kui closed his eyes, sat on the chamber pot, and listened to the footsteps disappear into the corridor.
Only then did she speak, her voice barely a whisper: "Senior brother, I'll wait for you to come back... and then I'll marry you."
As the meteor reached the ground floor and mounted his horse, he paused for a moment.
Then he led a group of cultivators and rode straight to Wuman Mountain.
Meanwhile, Bitao was at Gangfeng Cliff behind the Supreme Sword Sect when Zhang Yuluan spat in her face.
"Bah! I should have seen it long ago: you possessed my junior sister and are nothing but a monster! What kind of demon are you?!"
"Go ahead and let me go! Let's fight to the death! What kind of skill is it to secretly drug me?!"
Bitao was tying ropes for Zhang Yuluan right in front of her. Unable to dodge, she wiped her face and continued to tighten the ropes.
They bound Zhang Yuluan from head to toe, turning her into a wriggling "flesh worm," and sealed off many of her major acupoints, preventing her from using her spiritual power to break free.
Zhang Yuluan kept babbling on and on, describing Bitao as an utterly wicked demon.
When Bitao finally tied her up, she pulled over the several packages she had brought and took out a huge flatbread from one of them.
She specifically ordered the kitchen to make these; they're still warm.
Bitao hollowed out the middle part and held it up to Zhang Yuluan's head.
Then it tore the surrounding area into a uniform, hollow circle.
Then they put the pancake on Zhang Yuluan's head.
Zhang Yuluan: "...Third Junior Sister, I take back all the harsh words I just said. If you let me go, I'll slap myself to apologize to you."
"Or perhaps our sect has a herbal medicine hall with an experienced doctor on duty. Why don't you go and have a look?"
Bitao ignored her words and didn't waste the torn-off cake, wolfing it down.
She had told her father a few days ago that the flatbread was unpalatable, but after eating delicacies for several days, Bitao now thinks the flatbread is actually quite delicious.
Moreover, it keeps you full and doesn't spoil easily.
It's a bit dry... I forgot to bring water.
Fortunately, cultivators won't die from not drinking water for a few days. Bitao only sealed the acupoints that allowed Zhang Yuluan to mobilize her spiritual power to break through the ropes; the remaining smooth flow of her meridians was enough for her to survive.
Bitao pounded her chest a few times, finally managing to swallow the few bites of bread.
Zhang Yuluan had barely spat anything out of her, and seeing Bitao choking and stretching her neck, she also stretched her neck and swallowed hard.
But the way she looked at Bitao was like she was looking at a madwoman.
"What exactly are you trying to do?!" Zhang Yuluan roared in despair.
Bitao swallowed the flatbread, and Zhang Yuluan straightened the flatbread on her neck, pressed her head down to test the distance, and was very satisfied.
Then he said, "Second Senior Sister, this is your rations for the next period of time, for your survival. Be sure to eat it sparingly."
"Did you have a fight with your senior brother and get dumped by him, making you furious?"
Zhang Yuluan screamed shrilly: "What does that have to do with me?! You were two-timing, and now that you've capsized, what does it have to do with me?!"
"I never tried to take advantage of the situation to win back my senior brother. You can have all the senior brother and junior brother titles; you can have them all by yourself! Do you think I care?!"
"You can't be so cruel as to leave me to fend for myself here, can you?!"
Bitao dragged the bundles over and pulled out a storage bag from one of them.
She opened the storage bag, pushed it forward, and Zhang Yuluan immediately fell silent.
His eyes widened like a hen being strangled, and a hiccup came from his throat.
Bitao said, "I have over a dozen storage bags like this, all of them are for you."
Zhang Yuluan rolled her eyes, her gaze towards Bitao filled with even more astonishment and disbelief.
Bitao said, "These white spirit stones are enough for you to cultivate to the highest level of the Earthly Realm. Once you reach the highest level of the Earthly Realm... you won't need these spirit stones for cultivation anymore."
"You've really gone mad! Have you revealed everything about your mother? And you want to give it to me?" Zhang Yuluan's voice trembled slightly. "Junior sister, why don't you go check out the herbal medicine shop..."
Bitao reached out and cupped Zhang Yuluan's trembling face, looking into her eyes and saying, "Don't be afraid, senior sister. Your innate skill is 'Seeing the True Nature of Mind,' which is an extremely powerful ability that allows you to see through the essence of things at a glance."
"You rarely make mistakes in your judgment; maintain your keen insight, and what you think is true..."
Zhang Yuluan's lips trembled uncontrollably as she asked Bitao, "Is it...is something wrong in the sect...uh ...
Bitao tore off a piece of cloth from the bundle and stuffed it into Zhang Yuluan's mouth.
"You'll be able to get this fabric out in a while, it won't stop you from eating."
After Bitao finished speaking, she pulled over another bundle, patted it, and said, "Those top-grade white spirits weren't given to you for free. There's no such thing as a free lunch in this world."
"Once you break free from your constraints, you need to do as written on the note I left for you inside this bundle."
Bitao looked at Zhang Yuluan with utmost seriousness and said, "I am the evil spirit who possessed your junior sister. I am very powerful. If you do not do as instructed in this package, I will extract your soul as well as the white spirit that you absorbed into your body!"
"Did you hear that?!" Bitao shouted fiercely.
Zhang Yuluan kept making muffled noises, her throat hoarse and strained, and it sounded like she was cursing very filthyly.
But tears streamed down her face as she looked at Bitao with extreme anxiety and deep sorrow.
She revealed the same expression Bitao had when she first saw her cry—a pitiful, downtrodden look, her eyebrows forming a pathetic inverted V shape, as if she had endured all the suffering in the world.
However, Zhang Yuluan was faking it back then, unlike now when she was genuinely affectionate and touching.
Bitao's eyes were already a little sore, but she chuckled softly when she saw this.
She reached out and wiped away her senior's tears.
Then he got up, carried the two other packages besides the one for Zhang Yuluan on his back, and strode out of Gangfeng Cliff.
Zhang Yuluan, her mouth gagged, roared from her throat.
Tears streamed down her face, and she was hysterical, but Bitao never looked back again.
Bitao hurried down the mountain, returned to Tianshui Courtyard, and ransacked the place, taking all of the magical artifacts belonging to the Daoist Bu'er, Le Junya.
They ran to Yanlan Courtyard and were about to go in when they heard loud clanging and smashing sounds coming from inside...
Jinling rampaged through the natural stone chamber, cracking rocks and collapsing furnishings wherever it went.
Bitao saw a tall figure wielding a sword, slashing wildly. Jinling was violent, his brows and eyes were frosty, as if this house had some irreconcilable hatred for him.
He wished he could turn this tiny place into ashes and scatter them between heaven and earth.
Bitao didn't go in.
She noticed someone in the distance and turned her head to look.
The one-armed Binglun, holding a long spear, stood at the entrance of the Supreme Sword Sect, seemingly waiting for someone.
The long suspension bridge swayed gently in the mountain breeze, and two people looked at each other across the bridge.
In just a few months, times have changed. They are no longer the "joyful birds" who, upon returning from exorcising evil spirits, would scatter like birds and beasts and rush straight to their nests as soon as they entered the mountains.
There was no ridiculous emotional entanglement between them—no "you love me, I don't love you," and "I love him, but he doesn't love me."
Binglun's brows furrowed and his handsome face was melancholy. He was the first to look away, unsure how to face Bitao.
He didn't know how to face this person, with whom he had a deep-seated grudge, yet who also clearly shared a bond of brotherhood through life and death, and who even stirred up his hidden emotions...
Who is it? What words should he use to describe Bitao?
Binglun could never define what their relationship was.
Bitao withdrew her gaze and stepped into the now unrecognizable Yanlan Courtyard.
Mingguang sensed that someone had triggered the restriction... It was a restriction that Wei Danxin had specifically set up to prevent Bitao from entering.
Later, the two became lovers but never broke up, treating it all as a bit of fun since they couldn't stop Bitao anyway.
Mingguang turned around, sword in hand.
He stood amidst the ruins he had personally destroyed, his golden spirit still lingering, his robes fluttering, his long hair dancing in the wind, his snow-white skin and plum blossom-like bones exuding an aloof and proud spirit.
When he saw that the person who came in was Bitao, his golden eyes suddenly narrowed to a point, and the veins on his hand gripping the long sword bulged.
But he stood motionless amidst the ruins, as if silently and resolutely announcing a break with Bitao.
He hated Xiao Taozhi for looking at him, but he was thinking of Wei Danxin.
She loathed this Yanlan Courtyard even more, for it held all the beauty and entanglement between Xiao Taozhi and Wei Danxin.
He cruelly cut himself in two, killed and annihilated the other, not allowing it to exist.
He would never be a substitute for anyone, not even himself.
Fortunately, everything in this star realm is coming to an end. He destroyed this place, and everything between Wei Danxin and Xiao Taozhi will soon be buried with everyone's passing.
He had even planned how, after the second round of the competition, he would use legitimate reasons to prevent the immortals from tracing and judging that absurd past again.
Mingguang led his men to the location of the formation and returned to the sect in person. He did this not only to arrange for his junior brothers and sisters to guard the mountain, but also to personally destroy the place.
Bitao wasn't surprised at all.
Mingguang's desire for control is the same as hers. When things get out of control, he feels devastated and hates himself, and he has to get everything back into his hands.
Especially since Bitao deliberately misled him, it wouldn't be surprising if he scattered the entire Supreme Sword Sect before his death and burned it all.
Mingguang was tense all over, never expecting Bitao to come back at this time... She didn't come back on October 15th, the day she was supposed to marry Wei Danxin.
Mingguang was already prepared for Bitao Society to argue and fight with Wei Danxin, his whole body tense.
Golden Eyes stared intently at Bitao, but for a moment he couldn't quite make out her expression.
Finally, he stubbornly turned his head to one side, using his spiritual power to force back the red veins in his eyes.
A moment later, Bitao walked up to Mingguang.
Mingguang held his breath, turned his head back, and looked down at her, his brows furrowed with anger and his eyes filled with frost.
If she dares to mention Wei Danxin again...
"Are you done smashing it?"
Bitao's tone was soft and melancholic, showing none of the anger and pain that Mingguang had imagined about her love nest being destroyed.
She walked up to Mingguang, looked up at him, and reached out her hand, her middle finger almost poking the small red mole on Mingguang's chin.
"Give me back the hair we tied together."
A moment of stunned silence flashed in Mingguang's eyes.
Then she angrily retorted, "We? Do you mean you and Wei Danxin?!"
Mingguang took a deep breath and said coldly, "Destroyed."
Bitao didn't pull her hand back, staring intently at him, her fingertips poking at his little red mole.
Mingguang gritted his teeth, his profile taut like a steep, precipitous peak.
He laughed in exasperation: "I don't know where it's gone. Maybe it's under some random rock in this house. If you want it, go find it yourself..."
