On the second day, the sound of training in the military camp woke Gu Nanji up. He looked down and saw Murong Jinyi's hands around his waist. He suddenly felt a little numb, but he remained calm and tried not to move. Fortunately, in the military camp, if he didn't lift the curtain, no one else would have the courage to do so.
Gu Nanji lay there, feeling the warmth of the moment. He even thought in his heart, how wonderful it would be if he could lie like this forever, just like Murong Jinyi, until the end of time.
Murong Jinyi was also awakened by the training sounds the next second, and Gu Nanji quickly closed his eyes.
When Murong Jinyi saw that his hands were around Gu Nanji's waist, his face suddenly turned as red as the rising sun.
She saw that Gu Nanji was breathing evenly and should still be asleep, so she had to pull her hand out little by little.
But Gu Nanji turned over and hugged Murong Jinyi in his arms.
Murong Jinyi's eyes widened.
After an unknown amount of time, Murong Jinyi nudged Gu Nanji and said, "Gu Nanji, wake up! The sun is shining on your butt!"
Hearing this, Gu Nanji rubbed his sleepy eyes, turned over and went back, yawning, "Good morning."
"It's getting late. Your soldiers have already trained three times..." Murong Jinyi said.
"Okay, I'll go out first, then you sit down and I'll come in later. This way it won't do anything bad to your reputation." Gu Nanji said after thinking for a while.
"It's all fine. We girls from the grassland don't care about these empty formalities." Murong Jinyi smiled brightly.
"Then no one said anything when you appeared from a man's tent?" Gu Nanji asked in surprise.
"Well, it depends on the situation. Some people will think they are siblings, some will think they are just talking about something, but some will think there is nothing strange about it and they are just dating." Murong Jinyi thought for a while and said.
"Then what do you think our situation is?" Gu Nanji threw the question to Murong Jinyi again.
Murong Jinyi blushed, but the next second she replied, "Then we are talking about business."
Gu Nanji felt a little disappointed after hearing this, but he continued to smile and said, "Then do as I say."
Gu Nanji stood up and went out, took a look around, and handed the things made by Murong Guiyi to Wu Yuanlou.
Wu Yuanlou was extremely surprised when he received it.
He immediately came back to life as if injected with chicken blood. He instantly regained his spirits. He took out a few letters he had written and stuffed them into Gu Nanji's pockets. "General, please pass these on to Murong Jinyi and ask her to give them to her sister on my behalf."
Gu Nanji accepted it and said, "I understand. What else?"
"Give this to her for me. She left in a hurry that day, and I didn't have time to give her the candies and jewelry I bought for her." Wu Yuanlou seemed to remember something, rummaged through his suitcase, and took out a tightly wrapped package and gave it to Gu Nanji.
Wu Yuanlou simply got up and followed Gu Nanji to Gu Nanji's tent.
When they came in, Gu Nanji first stuck his head out and took a quick look. After confirming that everything was correct, he lifted the curtain and let Wu Yuanlou in.
Murong Jinyi put all the things that Wu Yuanlou wanted to give to Murong Guiyi back into the package. Murong Jinyi looked at Gu Nanji and asked, "What about you? Do you want to take anything with you?"
"I... didn't... tell that kid Shan Guang to study more and read more military books. It will be of great benefit to him in the future." Gu Nanji scratched his head. He really didn't prepare anything. His words were all in his heart and he said them to himself. He was not like Wu Yuanlou who would write them in a letter.
"Okay, I get it. I'm leaving then." Murong Jinyi was a little disappointed. He closed his bag and prepared to leave.
Gu Nanji picked up the tiger-skin cloak that was covering Murong Jinyi on the bed and put it on Murong Jinyi. "I'm giving it to you. It's cold outside. You'll be warmer if you wear my cloak."
Murong Jinyi looked at him and nodded.
Wu Yuanlou went out with the two of them. Gu Nanji instructed Wu Yuanlou to test the prescriptions and hand them over to other soldiers. If they were effective, they had to report to the court.
Wu Yuanlou nodded. After seeing that he agreed, Gu Nanji took the lead over Murong Jinyi. He wore a long sword on his waist, a shovel in his hand to clear the way, and wore boots made by Murong Jinyi on his feet. Murong Jinyi followed behind him, leading two horses.
The two of them slowly walked towards the direction of the Sals people. When they finally reached a place without snow, Murong Jinyi looked at his back and said, "My uncle might attack you next. He likes to take advantage of you when you are weak. You have to be careful."
"Okay, I'll pay attention. But the snow is so heavy that even if he wants to attack me, it may not be easy for him to get away." Gu Nanji looked at the snow behind him. It was almost as high as a person's abdomen, and it was getting thicker and thicker, like a wall.
Murong Jinyi nodded, took off his tiger-skin cloak and wanted to return it to him.
Gu Nanji stopped him and said, "I told you, if I give it to you, it's yours. You don't have to give it back to me."
Murong Jinyi looked at him, then slowly said, "If you were half as eloquent as your brother, you wouldn't be so mad at people."
Gu Nanji didn't understand and was about to ask when he saw Murong Jinyi jump on the horse and said to him angrily, "Since you don't speak, I don't want to be the one to speak first. Let's just leave it at that. I'm leaving!" Murong Jinyi waved the whip angrily and rode away on horseback.
Gu Nanji understood what she was talking about, but he still didn't say anything. He thought of General Qiu. If he didn't say anything, perhaps he would leave some memories for himself. Gu Nanji watched her go away until she could no longer see him. Then he took the shovel, jumped on his horse, and hurried back.
The snow continued to fall, covering the road that had just been shoveled out.
