Chapter 242 Returning Home

In that instant, the Fourth Prince lost control of his body, swayed a couple of times, and felt even more dizzy.

He could tell who it was without even looking down, from the familiar scent wafting from the tip of his nose.

Su Peisheng quickly helped the Fourth Prince up, fearing that he might accidentally drop his master.

Duofu rubbed against his arms a couple of times, then looked up and stared at his human with bright eyes.

Her chin seemed even more pointed; she must not have been eating properly while he was away.

It's really worrying; without him, his pet owner can't even enjoy their meals.

Duofu couldn't help but think narcissistically that his pet owner must love him to death.

It's definitely not because I'm too tired from work and have lost weight.

It must be because she missed him so much that she lost her appetite and became thin from hunger.

Duofu quickly supported the Fourth Prince's other hand and, together with Su Peisheng, helped his pet owner into the room.

Duofu looked at his pet owner, who was sitting obediently and motionless in the chair, and his eyes flashed with curiosity. This pet owner looked too well-behaved.

He'd completely forgotten about his usual cold demeanor; he was a bit dazed, his eyes unfocused, just sitting there blankly.

Duofu: "Su Peisheng, I'm hungry. Serve dinner. Has your master eaten dinner yet?"

Duofu's last sentence was just a question. They all got drunk at the Crown Prince's place, so it couldn't be that they just drank without eating!

They must have eaten their fill before going back.

Su Peisheng wiped the sweat from his forehead and quickly replied, "Master didn't eat much tonight; he just drank a lot of wine at the Crown Prince's place."

Duofu looked at Su Peisheng in disbelief, then at his pet owner, and his voice grew louder.

"Is the Crown Prince starving now? He's fallen out of favor to that extent."

Su Peisheng's eyes were a little stiff. Fortunately, there were no other people around, just the three of them. The little ancestor really could say anything.

How could His Highness the Crown Prince not have food to eat? No matter how much he falls out of favor, His Highness would never lack food, clothing, shelter, or transportation.

Su Peisheng: "My little darling, you can't say things like that. His Highness the Crown Prince is perfectly fine. How can there be any talk of him falling out of favor?"

Duofu curled his lip in disdain upon hearing this, his eyes filled with disbelief.

Su Peisheng pretended not to have seen it and quickly continued, "Some dishes were served, but none of them suited the master's taste. The master only ate a few bites and drank a few cups of wine... and then got drunk."

Duofu rubbed his stomach; he was hungry too. He quickly waved to Su Peisheng, telling him to bring him food.

He can leave his master here to be taken care of; he'll definitely be able to take good care of his pet owner.

Su Peisheng stepped out of the room and happened to glance inside.

Then I saw that audacious little brat reaching out to pull his master's face.

All he could see was his master's handsome face, which was being treated like a toy in the little master's hands.

Su Peisheng quickly closed the door, not wanting to look any longer, otherwise he was afraid he would burst out laughing.

Even that cold, aloof, and unsmiling master has his day.

Su Peisheng instructed the eunuchs below to quickly go to the kitchen and bring over the dishes. He stood guard at the door, listening to the sounds inside.

My master is drunk today, I wonder how my little darling will bully him.

Based on his understanding of his young master, he knew he would definitely not let such a good opportunity slip by.

Su Peisheng himself was also somewhat looking forward to it. Recently, his master had become quite shrewd, and he, as a servant, would have to get involved as well.

It was simply not a life for a human being. How he missed the carefree days he spent with this little darling.

He just eats and sleeps all day long, and he doesn't have to do any work, he just stays and watches over things. How easy is that?

And then there are those occasional cold stares, which puts you under immense psychological pressure.

---

Duofu sat on his owner's lap with his big, bright eyes staring at his owner's somewhat dazed gaze.

Those eyes always made him want to kiss them, and he did just that, tilting his head back and tugging at his pet owner's collar to pull his head down a little.

The kiss landed perfectly on the eyes.

Just as Duofu's mouth was about to close, his pet owner's eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings and closed.

Duofu blinked, as if he could see shyness on his pet owner's face.

Duofu was a little incredulous, so he quickly kissed a few more times and found that his human's face was even redder, and his long eyelashes trembled slightly.

Duofu immediately became beaming. He thought his human wouldn't be shy, and that only he would be.

It's unbelievable that his pet owner would feel shy because he kissed him.

Duofu originally wanted to kiss his pet owner a little more and tease him.

Then I heard Su Peisheng knocking on the door, saying that dinner was ready.

Duofu's stomach immediately growled, as if he knew he could eat right away.

Duofu quickly kissed his pet owner's high nose again, and then rolled off his pet owner's lap.

The important thing now is to eat; he needs to eat his fill so he has the energy to do what he needs to do next.

The young eunuchs serving below quickly arranged the dishes, then bowed their heads and hurried out.

Su Peisheng had originally intended to stay and serve his master his meal, but then he saw the little darling waving his little hand, telling him to hurry up and leave.

Su Peisheng still intended to salvage the situation: "There's really no need for this servant to stay. Master is drunk, so there might be some trouble with the meal."
