Duofu leaned lazily against the chair, his posture completely unnatural and extremely sluggish.
Duofu watched as Xiazi packed up and tidied up his frequently used items.
Yes, and he had to go back home.
Duofu looked at the free sky outside with a hint of reluctance, thinking that he was still more free here in the manor.
But Zhuangzi doesn't see his pet owner here, which is fine for a short while.
He himself has been away for too long and is not used to it, not to mention that his pet owner keeps sending Su Peisheng to urge him to go back.
Duofu had no idea why his pet owner had been so busy lately, so busy that he hadn't had time to come to the village.
When he lived in the village, his pet owner would come over here.
I don't know if it's because the Crown Prince has regained favor, but the situation in the palace is different lately.
It's gotten to the point that even his pet owner doesn't have time to come and see him.
Duofu ate the pastries on the table bit by bit, feeling that today's rose pastries were too sweet and not to his liking.
I took two bites and then threw it back onto the plate, probably because of my mood.
Duofu looked at the two large boxes that were packed. It seemed like there wasn't much stuff, but it filled two big boxes.
Duofu didn't tell his pet owner that he was going back today.
He wanted to give his pet owner a surprise.
Duofu thought to himself with a bit of smug satisfaction that if he went back first, he could send his luggage over the next day; otherwise, it would be easy to be exposed.
Duofu specifically instructed Su Peisheng to pick him up today, and warned him not to tell his pet owner, otherwise he would definitely make things difficult for him and whisper in his ear every day.
Duofu glanced at the sky and saw that it was getting dark; Su Peisheng should be sending someone to pick him up soon.
They sent Xiazi out early, waiting for Su Peisheng to send someone to pick him up.
Duofu stood on the large round mahogany table, wagging its yellowish-brown tail, its paws scratching at the large red wood beneath it.
Soon, red marks were left on the table. Duofu didn't feel that he had damaged anything. On the contrary, he felt that the marks left by his scratches looked better.
Anyway, his pet owner wouldn't care about a couple of cheap pieces of furniture.
Duofu looked up at the sky outside. It was almost completely dark, so why hadn't Su Peisheng called anyone else to pick him up yet?
But something came up on the way and I was delayed.
Is traffic congestion common even in the Forbidden City? There are just too many people, making it difficult for horse-drawn carriages to pass.
Duofu lay down with its round, chubby body, its two paws in front of it as a pillow, and its big little head resting on it. Its two bright, lively eyes darted around, occasionally glancing at the door.
Duofu was getting a little anxious; he was planning to go back and have dinner together.
If this continues, he'll get hungry, and the person still won't come.
It will take some time to get there.
Just as Duofu was getting impatient waiting, he looked up and saw Su Peisheng running towards him in the distance, panting heavily.
"Woof woof woof woof awoof awoof awoof." Why is it so late? I'm getting impatient waiting, and my stomach is growling.
After catching his breath, Su Peisheng spoke: "Well, Your Highness was in the palace today, and His Highness the Crown Prince insisted that you stay for a few drinks. Your Highness couldn't refuse, so you drank a little longer and just left the palace."
"I just sent my master back and gave him a cup of hangover soup before I came to the estate to pick up my little master. I don't know who was so careless on the way, but they hit the carriage, which is why I'm a little late."
When Duofu heard that a traffic accident had actually occurred, he immediately calmed down.
Duofu was known for his quick temper, but it subsided just as quickly. He was just feeling a bit annoyed because of his anxiety, but now that he heard Su Peisheng's serious explanation, he was no longer angry at all.
The little tail behind him wagged rapidly, urging Su Peisheng to quickly carry him back to the mansion so that he could give his human a surprise tonight.
The carriage journey back was uneventful, and we entered the manor without any unexpected incidents.
Duofu sat back down on the familiar soft cushion and stretched lazily.
Although there is freedom in the manor, it is still not as safe as in this manor.
Duofu searched the room but couldn't find his human. A look of confusion appeared in his dark eyes.
Didn't Su Peisheng say that his pet owner was a little drunk?
Why isn't he in the room?
Where did the people go?
Duofu stretched out its claws and transformed back into human form. It scrambled up from the cushion and prepared to walk towards the door.
If he's drunk, his pet owner wouldn't be in the study. Since he's not in this room, he must be taking a shower on the other side.
He should go and see; he might just get a good look at it.
With wide, excited eyes, Duofu lifted his foot to the door, but before he could even step out, he had just opened it.
Then I could see it in the distance.
Su Peisheng was helping his cat owner, whose face was flushed, walk step by step toward him.
You could still see moisture on her body, so she must have just taken a bath not long ago.
A hint of disappointment flashed in Duofu's eyes; such a good opportunity had been missed.
His pet owner is not one to get drunk easily, so what happened today?
They actually managed to get the Crown Prince, who had just gotten up from the palace, drunk.
Duofu scratched some of his messy hair, his big, bright eyes staring as his pet owner walked towards him.
Under the moonlight, she walked slowly towards him, one step at a time, her steps unusually steady.
Aside from his flushed face and somewhat dazed eyes, you really couldn't tell from other aspects that his pet owner was drunk.
Duofu quickly walked over and jumped into his owner's arms.
