"Oh shit, okay, okay! You're awesome, take it!" After Tang Chen threw the bag to Wang Yanzhou, she didn't know who gave her the courage, but she actually tiptoed over to the other person's place alone.
As Tang Chen quietly approached the furtive figure, she realized it looked like the corpse driver from last night. She hadn't witnessed anything like the scene yesterday, but there was no better explanation for the corpses he was fiddling with. But after calming down, it seemed as if the man had hidden something inside the bodies. Could he be using the guise of corpse-driving to engage in some shady business?
Tang Chen was just about to step forward to get a closer look. He was about to find a way to catch the man red-handed and hand him over to the authorities to be a good citizen. But then he was about to die. He accidentally stepped on a dead branch. The crisp sound immediately alerted the corpse driver: "Who!"
After carefully searching around, the corpse chaser found nothing and gave up. "...Strange, am I just being overly suspicious?"
Tang Chen removed Wang Yanzhou's hand, which had been tightly covering her mouth, and watched the corpse driver's every move from above. If Wang Yanzhou hadn't been quick to pull her up the tree, she would have been silenced by now. It was a close call. She wouldn't dare do such a dangerous thing again. She only had one life, so she had to cherish it. There wasn't always another Wang Yanzhou to save her next time.
Tang Chen lowered his voice and said in a low voice: "There is something wrong with this person."
Wang Yanzhou said that it's best to stay out of other people's business. Sometimes, the right way to deal with things is to stay out of it. "If there's a problem, it's not your problem. Let's go. We have to get to Qinghe County before dark."
Wang Yanzhou stepped lightly, covered Tang Chen's mouth to prevent her from screaming out and being discovered, and quickly left the dense forest with this burden.
