Chapter 369: Loyalty without Absoluteness is Absolute Disloyalty
Just as a large-scale military training was in full swing in Thessaly, Perseus, who had returned empty-handed, also returned to Olympus among the stars.
In the empty and majestic temple, Perseus half-knelt on the steps and reported to the king of gods Zeus.
"Hercules is determined to stay in Thessaly and assist Admetus to resist the invasion of the giants."
"He wants to disobey orders?"
Zeus on the throne looked gloomy and his eyes narrowed.
Perseus in the hall quickly explained to his disciple: "Hercules did this for you. He just couldn't bear to see your temple fall into the hands of the enemy. Your faith will be extinct from now on. He definitely didn't mean to disobey you!"
"For me?" Zeus raised his eyebrows and sneered, "Flirting with those rebels on Ares Mountain and replacing Eurystheus as the king of Argos?"
The sound of thunder echoed in the great temple, and Perseus, who was standing in front of the steps, couldn't help but feel his heart sink.
Even if he wanted to conceal the truth for that reckless disciple, the Father God knew everything Hercules did in the world, even some inside stories that he himself did not know.
This can only prove one thing.
In addition to him, the Father God had other eyes and ears to monitor and eavesdrop on Hercules' words and deeds.
“Glory, divine tools, adventures… When have I ever been stingy with what he wants?” Zeus’ hand holding the scepter tightened unconsciously, and his eyes gradually became cold. “I gave him so much grace from the gods, but in the end, I still couldn’t tame him!”
"Father, everything Hercules did was just to protect the holy land of Thessaly for you." Seeing that Zeus seemed really angry, Perseus repeatedly defended his disciple and made a solemn guarantee, "I believe that his heart is still with you!"
Zeus did not comment on this. Instead, he looked at Perseus who was trying his best to speak up for Hercules in the court, and asked in a low voice as if he was not paying attention.
"So, you just let him stay in Thessaly?"
Perseus' heartbeat quickened inexplicably when he heard this.
Almost instinctively, he lowered his head and apologized humbly.
"It is my fault that I failed to bring Hercules back. Please punish me!"
"He was the one who disobeyed orders. What does it have to do with you? I am just asking casually. There is no need to be so nervous."
Zeus pressed his left hand lightly to soothe her, then his eyes flickered slightly and he continued to delve into the previous topic in a casual tone.
"But, I remember I seemed to have said: If necessary, you can use some coercive measures to bring him back to Olympus first..."
"I tried, but I'm no match for him," Perseus answered calmly.
"Even with the three magical objects I gave you, you can't defeat him?" Zeus was a little surprised.
"That child is better than I expected." Perseus answered sincerely, with a trace of genuine admiration in his eyes. "The speed of his growth is also beyond my imagination. Now I have nothing to teach him."
"Really?" Zeus nodded and praised him indifferently, "That's really amazing. It's worth your careful cultivation of him."
Perseus shook his head and said seriously: "No, Hercules' achievement is all thanks to you!"
Then, he paused and spoke again to clarify for Hercules.
"So, I believe that with the character of that child, once this battle is over, he will definitely return to your service and apologize to you for his transgression!"
"You two have such a good relationship..." Zeus looked at Perseus who had vouched for Hercules again and again, thought for a moment, and smiled, "Well, since you said so, I will trust him for once."
"Thank you, Father God!" Perseus was overjoyed upon hearing this. "Please rest assured, I will bring him back when the war in Thessaly is over!"
After all, Hercules was a child he raised and taught himself. If he had a choice, he certainly didn't want to stand against this child.
Perseus was sincerely happy for his student and brother, who was able to return to the banner of the Father God and revive the glory of Olympus.
Moreover, with his understanding of Hercules, he was confident that he could restore order and persuade Hercules to return to his rightful place after the war.
"Don't worry, of course I can." Zeus nodded with a smile, and then said self-deprecatingly, "After all, you are now my most trusted son."
Hearing this, Perseus felt both moved and ashamed.
Outsiders seem to have a very deep misunderstanding of Father God, especially those brothers and sisters.
Thinking of this, Perseus felt an impulse in his heart and blurted out the words that had been suppressed in his heart.
"Father, please allow me to go down to the mortal world and help Hercules defend Thessaly!"
"You want to go too?" Zeus looked a little surprised when he heard that.
"Guarding the holy land for you and expelling foreign enemies is what we, the sons of God, should do." Perseus first stated his superficial duties, and then said in a deep voice his deeper thoughts, "I believe that as long as we successfully defeat the giants and resolve this crisis, not only the Thessalians, but also the entire Greek city-state will remember your kindness to the world, respect you, and have greater faith in you than before. Moreover, the sooner the war ends, the sooner Hercules can return to continue the unfinished trials and unfinished great deeds!"
"Well said!" Zeus nodded with satisfaction, a smile on his face, "In that case, I will grant your wish."
Hearing that his proposal had been formally accepted, Perseus' eyes were filled with joy from the bottom of his heart: "Thank you, father..."
"puff!"
The voice stopped abruptly, and Perseus lowered his head stiffly, looking at the white arm behind him that pierced his chest and the divine core that belonged to him in that hand, with a look of surprise on his face.
"I accept your divine core."
In the whisper like a silver bell, a charming figure appeared in the hall at some point, stretching her slender waist, licking her moist cherry lips with her pink tongue, and whispering in her ear.
Perseus turned around subconsciously and saw the beautiful girl with long purple-black hair and amber eyes.
As their eyes met, the amber eyes immediately enlarged in Perseus's field of vision until they filled his entire heart.
His consciousness was pulled down, as if immersed in endless darkness.
Looking up, Perseus saw a devastated world. There were dark, hollow celestial bodies with red and black mud flowing around their borders, pouring malice onto the devastated earth. All light was swallowed up, and under their feet were countless dry bones and debris.
The winged nymph, the heartless Titan, the twisted golden corpse, the headless bronze giant... all appeared in his eyes one after another.
at the same time.
Buzz!
Amidst the heart-pounding tremors, red and black mud gushed out from the ground beneath Perseus' feet, forming a red and black quagmire filled with pure malice in the hall.
Ripples appeared on the surface of the lake, and an ever-changing pitch-black cube slowly condensed and rose, and its volume continued to expand.
After a moment, this thing twisted by itself like a Rubik's Cube, and dark scarlet magic lines covered the entire surface of the black container.
As the final darkness was illuminated, a pool of red and black liquid rose from the dark interior to the top, pouring down from the [hole] dissolved by the [world], pouring all over Perseus' body.
A strong sense of malice spread from the white little hand that pierced Perseus' abdomen, forming hideous red and black lines on the body of the Perseus youth.
“Puff~~”
With a dull sound like a bursting water bag, the girl pulled her hand out with satisfaction.
The wriggling wound on Perseus' chest tore open further, exposing the curled flesh and the white bones that were crackling under the weight.
Through the bones and fascia, one could see that his abdominal cavity was filled with surging red and black mud. The hideous red and black lines replaced the original divine patterns, covering every muscle and organ of his body.
As the divine core, which had been completely dyed black, was withdrawn and the little hand was put back into Perseus' body, the flesh and blood on the chest of the Perseus youth who stood there like a wooden stake healed quickly, and the broken chest cavity was filled with black mud in an instant.
After a moment, Perseus' chest began beating again and his eyes slowly opened.
However, at this moment, his eyes were dark and empty, without any spiritual luster at all. He stood motionless in the hall, like a puppet that had lost its soul.
The charming girl with long purple-black hair looked around the newly-made work for a while, then tilted her head and looked curiously at the king of gods Zeus on the throne.
"Isn't he your most trusted son? How could you have the heart to do this?"
"I did trust him, but he betrayed my trust."
Zeus on the throne spoke slowly with a grim look on his face.
"So even more damnable!"
"I guess he hasn't reached the point of betraying you yet?"
Pandora, who had been hiding in the dark and watching the whole process, blinked and couldn't help but say something fair.
"But he released Hercules and sympathized with the traitors in Thessaly. He is not loyal."
Zeus snorted in response, a faint light flickering in his open eyes.
"And if loyalty is not absolute, it is absolute disloyalty!"
Pandora couldn't help but smile and applaud when she heard this argument.
"That's right! You're right!"
Just because Perseus hasn't done something now doesn't mean he won't do it in the future...
Just because you don’t have the ability to do it now doesn’t mean you won’t be able to do it in the future…
Just because you don’t have the opportunity to do it now doesn’t mean you won’t do it if you have the opportunity…
There is a kind of sin called sin in the future!
And what His Majesty the Divine King is best at is taking precautions before problems arise and eliminating all factors that may pose a threat to him and shake his divine authority.
Therefore, from the moment Perseus' heart began to waver and his emotions shifted, his fate was already doomed.
Looking at the doll in front of her with red and black lines all over its body, Pandora sneered and shook her head. She clapped her fair little hands, and the legendary Perseus sank into the red and black quagmire.
And within that dark ocean, dark figures were looming.
Some of them were three-headed poisonous dragons, nine-headed snakes, sphinxes and other magical beasts killed in the Arcadia Beast Tide, some were large and small magical pigs that died in the Calydonian Hunt, and some were centaurs, giants and divine blood heroes that died in Thessaly...
Seeing that she had added one more item to her collection, Pandora raised her hand with satisfaction.
The black mud on the ground receded like the tide, and a six-sided silver-black metal module engraved with complex spells rose from the ground and landed in the girl's fair palm, constantly changing its shape with a unique rhythm.
Fight, fight, the harder you fight, the stronger I will be!
Even, surpassing the one on the throne!
And in the end, the evil that you have bred will swallow you up completely!
The witch looked into the distance at the future where rivers of blood would flow, and licked her lips excitedly.
"What about the Djinn? How are the preparations going?"
Hearing the deep voice asking from the throne, Pandora suppressed her malicious smile and shook her head helplessly.
"I don't know what's going on. They no longer trust me. They want to kill me when they see me, so I don't know what's going on now."
Is that so?
Zeus murmured to himself, his brows gradually twisted into a knot.
Things went wrong as expected once again. This feeling of being out of control really made him unhappy.
"Forget it, don't worry about them, go find Eris and let her do what she should do."
"Yes, Father..."
Pandora nodded happily, and her figure turned into a black stream of light and disappeared among the stars.
~~
At night, the capital of Thessaly.
Just as Loen was hiding in the military camp, using the excuse of training the God-Blood Heroes to avoid Hera's exploitation, an uninvited guest broke into his tent.
A graceful figure entered, raised her hand slightly and pressed on the metal mechanism behind her head. The golden armor that sealed it automatically disintegrated and recovered, revealing the true face of the visitor.
She had waist-length purple hair that was smooth, soft and as bright as violet. It was tied up with a ring-shaped hairpin and neatly coiled behind her head. A few loose bangs were slanted in front of her straight and sexy nose. Two strands of hair slowly fell on her round shoulders. Under her thick and long eyelashes were pupils that were more dazzling than gold.
The slender goose eyebrows were tall and graceful, the red lips as moist as cherry flesh were gently blended together, and the perfect angular cheeks as white as jade, everything looked so holy and flawless.
Looking closely, there seemed to be a golden-green flame burning in the depths of those eyes, adding a majestic cold light to the beautiful facial features.
The pure white cloak was tied around his thin shoulders, with a high standing collar, like a lion's mane, adding a bit of aloofness, coldness and the majesty of a conqueror.
But looking down along the outline, past the snow-white sexy goose neck and collarbone, the first thing that catches the brunt is the big ups and downs that almost attract all men's eyes.
After removing the breastplate, the upper part of the white dress was filled up, and large pieces of white fat were piled up like snowballs and exposed to the air. Because it was stretched to the extreme, the golden patterns embroidered on the outside of the chest were somewhat out of shape.
Beyond the two tall peaks, below is a slender waist that is so soft that it can't be grasped with one hand. In order to facilitate movement, the waist axis is tightened by a silver metal belt.
The shiny silver leg armor is worn on the slender and plump legs. The metallic color and the arc of the skin complement each other, exuding a unique beauty.
Prying off the golden battle suit, the devilish figure with curvy curves and peerless appearance are like a big sweet fruit that is ripe and about to burst, making people's mouth dry, throat wriggling, and the desire to conquer rises.
"Sister Ya?"
Looking at Athena who had come to visit and the dark night outside the tent, Loen couldn't help swallowing.
Is this, uniform temptation?
