Only Shi Yan and Shi Wang remained in the living room. Shi Yan still had tear stains on his face, his eyes were red from crying, and his hands were bandaged, making him look extremely pitiful.
Shi Wang sighed. He had seen too many scenes like this. He had thought about separating the two children so that they wouldn't always be together, thinking that Shi Qian was growing up and wouldn't need anyone to accompany him every day.
He told Shi Yan about this, and Shi Yan thought that Shi Wang wanted to drive him away. He cried and said that he had not been bullied and that he was willing to stay in the Shi family. He also said that his parents in the countryside beat him every day and he did not want to go back to that place.
Shi Wang knew that Shi Yan had misunderstood, and seeing that Shi Yan looked extremely frightened, he ultimately said nothing.
She was just a little nicer to Shi Yan, to make up for her younger brother always bullying others.
After the meal was prepared, the group sat in the restaurant. Su Kaiyue brought up Shi Qian's birthday. Shi Qian had mentioned several times that she wanted to have her own 18th birthday party. Although Su Kaiyue was reluctant, she thought about it and agreed.
However, she planned to hold the birthday parties for Shi Qian and Shi Yan together. After all, Shi Yan wasn't much older than Shi Qian. When Su Kaiyue brought Shi Yan over, she superstitiously changed the birthday on Shi Yan's ID card to be exactly the same as Shi Qian's.
They will celebrate their birthdays together. Su Kaiyue had taken Shi Yan out several times before and met some of her friends. Everyone thought Shi Yan was her son and praised her for being lucky.
Su Kaiyue felt that Shi Qian had embarrassed her, so she decided to just say that both of them were her children and let everyone guess the rest.
Anyway, Shi Qian isn't very ambitious and isn't interested in these social gatherings. He'll only attend this one time. After the college entrance exam, he'll send him abroad so he won't have to see him anymore.
"I'm planning to throw an 18th birthday party for Xiaoyan and Shiqian next month. What do you think?"
