Chapter 27 Your Favorite Outfit

This greatly displeased Shi Yan, who had always been with Shi Qian at the time. Shi Yan was of average appearance, and when he dressed up and styled himself, people would still compliment him on his good looks. However, compared to the naturally beautiful Shi Qian, he was far inferior.

Shi Qian and Shi Yan grew up together. Shi Qian listened to Shi Yan very much. So Shi Yan kept telling Shi Qian to take advantage of his youth, that youth should be flamboyant, and to change his dressing style, since everyone likes unique people.

Shi Qian nodded in a daze, completely falling for Shi Yan's tricks. His clothing and appearance began to become exaggerated. Shi Yan taught Shi Qian how to use makeup to cover up his good-looking features, and then instigated him to get exaggerated hairstyles and buy strangely styled clothes.

Shi Qian lacked his own opinions and always firmly believed that Shi Yan was the best to him and would not harm him, so he did whatever Shi Yan said.

Shi Qian doesn't care much about clothes or dressing up, and doesn't understand what's good or bad, or what's trendy. She wears whatever Shi Yan gives her and gets whatever hairstyle he tells her to have.

Therefore, Shi Qian dressed extravagantly almost every time he went out, and people around him looked at him with strange eyes. Shi Yan told Shi Qian that everyone was paying attention to him and that there were so many people in the school, and everyone wanted to be his friend.

Shi Qian was a little shy at the time and didn't dare to make friends. Every time, he would smile at those who were looking at him with his face covered in exaggerated makeup, and they would scatter instantly, as if they had seen a ghost.

However, Shi Qian doesn't go to school or go out often. He spends most of his time at home because Madam Shi dislikes his exaggerated hair and outfits. Whenever he stays at home for a long time, she makes him clean up and stop wearing such strange clothes.

Therefore, apart from occasionally wearing exaggerated outfits when going to school, Shi Qian dresses normally at home.

This was already much to Shi Yan's liking. As long as Shi Qian didn't go out, he could dress however he wanted at home, since no one would be watching anyway.

However, whenever Shi Qian was going to school, Shi Yan would always make him dress up properly, saying it was basic courtesy when making friends. But he never explained why only Shi Qian had to dress like that, and Shi Qian would never ask, letting Shi Yan manipulate him like a puppet.

Shi Yan felt a pang of jealousy as he looked at Shi Qian, who was chatting and laughing with Meng Qing inside the room with the door open.

Shi Qian's personality has changed drastically in the past few days, and she no longer listens to Shi Yan completely. Everything is out of control, which makes Shi Yan feel very insecure.

Looking at Shi Qian's face, which was pale but still beautiful without makeup, and her slightly curled chestnut-brown shoulder-length hair, she looked very gentle and had an indescribable attraction.

She has two small dimples when she smiles, which makes her look harmless and easily arouses people's protective instincts.

If Shi Qian were to return to school in this state, his status as the school's heartthrob would soon be in jeopardy.

Shi Yan himself couldn't be considered the school heartthrob. He wasn't naturally handsome, his skin was a bit dark, and his skin condition wasn't great. Fortunately, he had good grades and played the violin well, which helped him cover up his flaws. He could make up for it with his dressing and styling.

Those who are better looking than him don't have his grades, those who have better grades don't have any special talents, and those who have more talents don't know how to dress as well. Therefore, all things considered, the title of school heartthrob fell to Shi Yan.

On the surface, Shi Yan appeared calm and indifferent, but in reality, he was secretly pleased, especially when others compared him to Fu Xiuhan.

He knew that Fu Xiuhan's family was wealthy and that he was also an important figure in the world, who would be useful to him in the future. Before Meng Qing arrived at the Shi family, Fu Xiuhan had always been Shi Yan's main target for seduction.

In order to make a deep impression on Fu Xiuhan, he deliberately instigated Shi Qian to go up to him. His purpose was to step in and stop Shi Qian whenever he annoyed Fu Xiuhan, and pull his strange cousin away. On the one hand, he could show his kindness and thoughtfulness, and on the other hand, he could increase his chances of contacting Fu Xiuhan.

He had tried to "bump into" this key figure before, but each time he failed and simply couldn't find an opportunity to make contact.

That's when he thought of using this cannon fodder cousin to build his own persona, so that he could at least have a few words with Fu Xiuhan.

Later, it was still through a song that Shi Yan gained Fu Xiuhan's favor, and he finally became somewhat different from others.

Everything was going in the direction the plot was supposed to go, except that Meng Qing, who was taken back to the Shi family, was not quite the same as he had imagined.

Shi Yan snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Meng Qing, who was gently helping Shi Qian tidy up. A sense of crisis rose in his heart.

He couldn't just stand by and watch; he had to do something.

Shi Yan casually walked to Shi Qian's room, knocked on the door, and asked, "Are you all packed? Are you going back to school tomorrow?"

Shi Qian sat next to her schoolbag, which was spread out on the floor. Hearing the sound, she turned around and looked at Shi Yan, who was standing at the door, and nodded happily.

"Is there anything I can help you with? After all, you haven't been back to school in a long time."

"It's alright, I brought everything I needed."

Shi Yan looked at Shi Qian's beautiful face revealed in the sunlight, gritted his teeth, and didn't want more people to see that face.

"Brother Meng, I have something I'd like to say to my cousin in private. Could you please excuse me for a moment?"

Shi Yan feigned an apologetic expression, wanting to temporarily send Meng Qing away. After all, there were some things Shi Qiansha might not be able to see, but others might.

Meng Qing didn't say anything, got up and left the room, glancing back at Shi Qian with his messy hair as he left.

After watching Meng Qing leave, Shi Yan closed the door, sat down next to Shi Qian, and reminded him:

"By the way, you haven't had time to do your hair yet, and what about all your old cosmetics and stuff? Do you want me to help you find them?"

Without waiting for Shi Qian's reply, Shi Yan walked into the dressing room and took out several exaggerated wigs and a makeup case from a drawer at the bottom.

"They should all be here. You haven't been to school in a long time, and I was worried you wouldn't be able to do it properly, so I came to help."

Shi Qian stared at the things in Shi Yan's hand with a puzzled look, blinking her beautiful big eyes as if she didn't understand what he was talking about.

"Have you forgotten? You always wear this to school," she said, opening her makeup bag and taking out a highly saturated eyeshadow palette, which she handed to Shi Qian. "And this one too, these are all your favorite colors."

Shi Qian looked at the things in Shi Yan's hands and was unsure whether to take them or not. He couldn't quite remember what he wore when he went back to school before; his memory was a bit hazy. Nevertheless, Shi Qian politely took them and carefully looked through them.

Did he really like these things before?
