Chapter 95 Past Events, Why Did You Cry?

Well, it seems like I have no choice but to open the door.

Shi Qian opened the door a crack, showing no intention of letting Fu Xiuhan in, only peeking out her head, and asked, "What?"

Fu Xiuhan was very pleased to see Shi Qian's response, "Let me go in first, we can talk inside."

Shi Qian originally intended to dismiss him with a few words, but when she heard that Fu Xiuhan was coming in, she rolled her eyes inwardly. Today was just unlucky; why was it so hard to catch up on some sleep?

Shi Qian opened the door, and Fu Xiuhan followed her in, closed the door, and naturally went to the living room to get a disposable paper cup. He poured himself a glass of cold water and poured a glass of warm water into Shi Qian's cup.

"Here, have some water."

After spending this time together, Shi Qian didn't have any ill feelings towards Fu Xiuhan. She just felt that Fu Xiuhan was a bit too clingy and talkative, like a talking leech that she couldn't shake off.

After pouring water for Shi Qian, Fu Xiuhan sat down on the sofa without any hesitation and patted the seat next to the sofa, gesturing for Shi Qian to sit down.

Shi Qian silently asked himself: Am I a dog?

In the end, I silently sat down. Oh well, I'll just sit here for a while to digest what I just ate.

"Speak, what is it?"

Am I bothering you?

The two spoke at the same time.

Wow! Does this young master even know how to spell the word "disturb"? He knocked on the door and came in before realizing he was disturbing his afternoon nap?

"Yes," Shi Qian answered honestly.

"But I just couldn't hold it in any longer."

Fu Xiuhan was in a daze when he came out of the music room in the morning. Instead of going back to class, he went back to his car and sat there all morning.

The teachers turned a blind eye to whether Fu Xiuhan attended class or not. After all, he was from one of the four great families, and whether he attended class or not, he would have a bright future.

Their family probably had a plan in mind. If they failed the college entrance exam, they could just go abroad. They could go to any good school.

Besides, Fu Xiuhan's grades were also good. Occasionally missing class didn't affect his final grades. The teachers believed that good students had their own ideas and learning pace, so they didn't need to worry about them.

Fu Xiuhan sat in the car for a long time, recalling Shi Qianla's music, which he had heard before.

When he was less than 10 years old, he secretly came to the First Hospital of Beijing because his mother was sick and hospitalized.

His family kept it from him, not telling him what illness his mother had, and even told him to stay at school and attend classes, but Fu Xiuhan refused to listen. The more they kept it from him, the more he felt there was something wrong.

That was also the first time he skipped class. He told the teacher he had a stomachache and needed to go to the toilet, then secretly climbed over the back wall of the school, avoided the Fu family's driver and bodyguards at the main gate, and took a taxi to the hospital.

When Fu Xiuhan arrived at the hospital, he saw many doctors in white coats in his mother's ward. Afraid of being discovered, he secretly hid in the stairwell and waited for them to leave.

He knew his mother must be seriously ill, otherwise she wouldn't have been hospitalized for so long. However, every time he came to visit his mother with his brother and asked what was wrong, they would always change the subject.

At that time, Fu Xiuhan felt that he was already a little adult and had the right to know. Since no one was telling him, he would figure it out himself.

So he skipped class today. Fu Xiuhan waited in the hallway for a while and saw the doctor from his mother's ward come out. He secretly looked at the floor where the elevator stopped and climbed up the stairs.

He knew where the dean's office was, so Fu Xiuhan tiptoed over and secretly stood by the door.

The door wasn't closed properly, and Fu Xiuhan could hear conversations inside.

"Is there no other way?"

That's his father's voice.

Fu Xiuhan heard a sigh. "Mr. Fu, Mrs. Fu is already in the late stage of cancer. All we can do now is to prolong her life a few more months. That's all we can do."

"I don't care! Isn't your senior brother researching this? Isn't he abroad? I'm flying over there to find him right now!"

"Mr. Fu, please calm down. I've tried all the methods and people I can find, but there really is no precedent for a cure right now."

"What nonsense are you talking about! My wife is not even 35 years old!"

"Didn't you say you could do the surgery? If you can't, then I'll find someone who can!"

Fu Nanxun angrily threw down those words and stormed out of the dean's office.

Just before he was about to leave, Fu Nanxun paused, paused, and spoke after taking a moment to calm his tone: "She doesn't know what illness she has yet, so don't let it slip."

Just as the person was about to come out, Fu Xiuhan quickly hid around the corner and watched his father angrily enter the elevator.

He silently went down the stairs to the floor where his mother's ward was located. Fu Xiuhan squatted in the corner of the stairs and buried his head in his knees.

It turns out that Mom only has a few months left to live; Mom is about to die.

Fu Xiuhan didn't know when he started crying; by the time he realized it, his pants were already wet at the knees.

He desperately wanted to rush into the ward, hug his mother, and talk to her, but he knew he would inevitably burst into tears, and then his mother would notice something was wrong.

Fu Xiuhan completely understood that his father didn't want his mother to know that he was dying. If his mother knew about his condition, she would probably be even more distraught.

Although no one said anything, Fu Xiuhan always knew that his mother was taking medication to control her emotions. At first, he didn't know and thought it was just ordinary vitamins, until he wanted to take two pills himself, but his mother slapped them away forcefully, and the pills spilled all over the floor.

The mother knelt on the ground, crying as she picked up the medicine, repeatedly apologizing to him.

Dad came over, picked Mom up, and took her back to the room. His older brother then led the terrified boy upstairs.

His older brother was only two years older than Fu Xiuhan. He patted Fu Xiuhan's head, said nothing, and simply sat quietly with him in the room all night.

Since then, Fu Xiuhan seemed to have grown up overnight. He secretly checked the medicine that had been spilled that day and learned that it was used to relieve his emotions.

He started to behave well and obediently, without crying or making a fuss, not wanting his mother to worry anymore, as she was already very tired.

He made it his first rule and the most important thing in his life not to make his mother angry.

Even though he was very obedient, his mother is still sick.

Fu Xiuhan felt extremely guilty at this moment. He began to reflect on whether his mother's illness was due to his previous willfulness.

Now he can't do anything, he can't do anything at all. No wonder his father and brother don't tell him the truth, because even if they did, it wouldn't make any difference.

For the first time, Fu Xiuhan felt intense hatred for his own incompetence.

His tears never stopped. Fu Xiuhan only dared to cry when no one was watching. If his father saw him crying, he would definitely beat him.

Just then, the sound of a door opening came from the stairwell, and a boy who looked about his age walked in, wearing a large hospital gown, with a bandage wrapped around his head, tilting his head to look at him.

Why are you crying?
