Chapter 14

Chapter 14

Lu Jiamu pinched his chin: Yesterday I thought it had no intelligence, but I really misunderstood it. Although it couldn't even detect someone around it, it was actually quite good at hiding from the teacher.

It walked to the little bed where it had lived before its death and sat down, not moving any more.

The classmate leaning against the door just walked over to close the door when he suddenly let out a short scream, fell to the ground in fear, and trembled.

Another gray, swollen figure pushed the door open and stumbled in, right beside the fallen child, leaving another trail of water, part of which landed on the child's ankle.

As it walked, it kept murmuring: "I don't want to...go to class...I don't want to...go to class..."

It didn't really leave, it just accompanied the students in a different form.

Lu Jiamu heard Yu Leng cursed in a low voice: "C..."

This dead classmate also sat on the small bed he had sat on when he was alive, staring into the void with a dull look on his face.

I didn’t expect that they all seemed to have low IQs, but they were all very good at hiding from the teacher.

Unless Teacher Gao leaves, they won't come in.

The murmurs of the two gray ghosts filled the entire dormitory:

“I want to eat…cake…”

"I don't want to...go to class..."

They work in perfect harmony, just like they are in a concert.

Someone complained quietly: "It's so noisy..."

All the children were praying anxiously that the female ghost would not come looking for them and that no one else would be taken away.

Otherwise it will be even noisier tomorrow night.

Because it was too noisy, no one slept well that night. The female ghost came again in the second half of the night, imitating Teacher Gao's voice just like yesterday.

But because all the students were determined not to open their eyes until dawn, and everyone had found the pattern: the little ghost hid from the teacher very quickly, as long as the little ghost did not leave, the teacher must be a fake.

So no one was fooled again. They waited until the two little ghosts left and Teacher Gao started banging on the door outside and shouting at them to get up through a loudspeaker before they dared to open their eyes.

Most of the children had not slept all night and were very depressed.

Fortunately, Lu Jiamu and his friends came here on Tuesday, and now four days have passed and it is Friday.

As long as I can get through today's classes, I can rest tomorrow.

Lu Jiamu had already read all the books he had received from the other five people, and was going to return the book during his lunch break and go to the library to exchange it for another book.

Wang Biao was surprised to see him reading so quickly. After hearing that he was going to the library again, he politely asked, "Do you need us to accompany you?"

They had not finished reading the books they had borrowed, and they certainly did not want to waste their lunch break on the way to the library.

Besides, Lu Jiamu had already known the way, so he shook his head without hesitation: “No need.”

After lunch, Lu Jiamu came to the sixth floor alone again. This time, the librarian who received him only showed a pair of eyes behind the small window.

Lu Jiamu filled out the registration book as requested and successfully entered the library.

He first put the book he borrowed yesterday back to its original place intact, then previewed the other bookshelves, read quickly during his lunch break, and finally borrowed a new book in the last ten minutes.

After all the afternoon classes were over, Teacher Gao stood on the podium and announced with some joy: "Congratulations, students. Tomorrow is the weekend, we will not have classes, and everyone can arrange their own time."

The whole class of kids looked old and lacked energy. Even when they heard that they would have a holiday the next day, they didn’t seem to be obviously happy.

Teacher Gao immediately suppressed his joy, his face darkened, and he became gloomy again: "However, our school will have an assessment on Sunday. This is the first formal exam after we enrolled. I hope that the students have not forgotten it."

"Some students may say: 'Teacher, we have known each other for a week, can you please give us some slack in the exam?' I'm sorry, your examiners are not me and Teacher Wen. Our school uses a lottery-based invigilation model. The invigilation is very strict, so don't even think about cheating."

"So I advise all students, if there is any knowledge point that you have not mastered well, make up for it quickly on Saturday. If you fail the exam, you will be pulled out for training."

"Good luck to you."

Teacher Gao finished his words in a grim voice and ended the get out of class, letting them decide whether to return to the dormitory immediately or go somewhere else.

Yu Leng didn’t sleep well the whole night because of the noise he made the previous night. Now he forced himself to stay awake and finished the day’s classes, and immediately wanted to go back to sleep.

However, when he really lay back on his little bed, he found that he couldn't fall asleep again.

Most of the children did not sleep well last night, and many of them are now catching up on their sleep, with only a small number still reading books in sweat.

The rest of the children who needed to make some noise left early for fear of conflicts with other children.

The two kids who were going to have a concert hadn't arrived yet, so the dormitory was very quiet.

Yu Leng tossed and turned for a while, but still couldn't fall asleep. He found that he was actually nervous about the exam the day after tomorrow.

This is a problem he developed since childhood. He gets nervous before every exam. If he doesn't have a clear focus on the exam, this situation will become more serious, and he may even be so nervous that he can't sleep.

Wang Biao next to him started snoring, so Yu Leng had to turn his head to look at Lu Jiamu, and then found that he seemed to be reading a book again, but this time he turned the pages much slower.

Looking at his expression and body movements, he seemed very calm and relaxed.

Yu Leng asked, "Are you nervous about the exam the day after tomorrow?"

Lu Jiamu was checking Fang Gu's death diary as usual. These days he insisted on looking through the messy lines every day to see if there would be any changes.

Hearing his question, Lu Jiamu closed his diary, raised his hand to support his glasses, looked at him and shook his head.

Only then did Yu Leng notice that he was not reading a book, but was reading the strange notebook he always carried with him.

Yu Leng lay down and breathed a sigh of relief: "That's right, you have always performed very well in the previous classes, it's normal for you not to be nervous."

Yu Leng began to mutter: "What will the test be about..."

Lu Jiamu sorted himself out and prepared to rest. Seeing Yu Leng nervously flipping through the pages, he said, "It must be something you've learned before."

After he finished speaking, his dark eyes glanced around and he added in a low voice: "It won't be difficult for all the elementary school students."

When Yu Leng heard these words, he felt strangely at ease.

Yes, they are just a group of primary school students. Why is he, an adult, so nervous?

That night, after the lights were turned off, the two gray-and-white little ghosts came to the dormitory one after another with Teacher Gao.

The students who were leaning against the door deliberately locked the door as soon as the teacher went out, but it still failed to stop the two little devils.

They passed through the door, leaving two wet marks on the ground, then returned to their own little beds and began to murmur loudly.

This is not a dormitory for sleeping, but a big stage for rap.

Fortunately, the female ghost did not succeed yesterday, and no new little ghosts joined them today.

Luckily, tomorrow is Saturday, a day off and I don’t have to go to class, otherwise I would collapse sooner or later.

Yu Leng lay on his back and took a deep breath, "They are so annoying..."

Seeing how accurately they hid from Teacher Gao, I guess even if Teacher Gao paid close attention, he wouldn't be able to catch them for a while.

Yu Leng had to think about something else: "It's almost the fifth day... I don't know if that thing will keep its promise."

After living here for fourteen days, they would be picked up or something. Thinking about it now, it all seemed like a dream.

"I hope it's true." Wang Biao was also awakened by their noise. He said, "Hmm," and sighed, "We will leave in fourteen days, but we don't know what will happen to them."
