Chapter 2 The Wheel of Time and Space
Lu Jiamu picked up the diary that had fallen on the ground, and then ran towards the front of the car without hesitation.
The seats in the next carriage were also filled with dark figures sitting together. Looking around, the whole train was filled with that kind of people.
But when Lu Jiamu ran over, they didn't even stand up.
If they just wanted to sit there and practice their sly fake smiles, he didn't really mind.
Lu Jiamu ran wildly between the two carriages and rushed to the front of the train. He glanced into the cab through the small piece of glass on the hatch, but did not see the driver, only a squirming shadow.
Damn it.
Although Lu Jiamu didn't know how to drive, he couldn't let this thing he had no idea what it was continue to drive.
Anyway, no matter what he did, the situation would not be worse than it was now. He immediately picked up the safety hammer by the door and was about to break the window to take back the driving rights.
Lu Jiamu was very active and immediately swung the hammer to smash the explosion-proof glass. However, the glass was of good quality and did not break. The recoil made his hand bones numb.
He was about to continue swinging the hammer in an effort to survive when he saw a large, dazzling light appear in the tunnel ahead.
Before he could think of a response strategy, the entire train rushed into the ocean of light at high speed.

Click, click, click…
When Lu Jiamu was awakened by a burst of tiny sounds, like the running of mechanical bearings, a dazzling light appeared in front of his eyes.
As he woke up, a series of inexplicable messages suddenly rang in his mind, in no particular order. They were in a language he had never heard of before, but he could understand them all at once: This place is called the Wheel of Time and Space.
Welcome to visit, please abide by the following rules
Rule 1: There is a mandatory curfew here. All players must enter the gate at night.
Rule 2: Only designated doors can be entered. After entering, players must abide by the rules of the world behind the door.
Rule 3: After one round, the game ends and all players return to their original world.
Rule 4: Chrono Trigger has the highest confidentiality level and the game content must not be leaked.
Note: The final right of interpretation belongs to Chrono Trigger.
The last piece of information is really clever, just like the clichés used in fake advertising.
Where am I now? I don't seem to be on the train anymore...
Lu Jiamu blinked and stood up. He subconsciously picked up the death diary and the safety hammer that fell on the ground. He held the hammer in one hand and the diary in the other, then looked around with indifferent eyes.
The train he had been on had completely disappeared, and what appeared before his eyes was a spacious and bright circular square.
There were two men and three women around Lu Jiamu, and they seemed to have been sent here suddenly.
Lu Jiamu immediately perked up and observed their expressions.
These people had obvious looks of shock and daze on their faces, as if they had just experienced something unbelievable. They didn't know why they suddenly came here and had suffered some kind of severe trauma on the mental level.
The two youngest girls couldn't help sobbing. The fear in them was tangible.
After Lu Jiamu finished his observation, he was immersed in the rare and intense emotional atmosphere. He felt unexpectedly satisfied and subconsciously reached for the pocket of his windbreaker, wanting to take out the bottle of eye drops mixed with wind oil to increase his sense of involvement.
If everyone else is crying but I'm not, how abnormal would that make me look?
But he quickly dismissed the idea.
Firstly, it would be too obvious and fake to do this in front of others. Secondly, if he put the Tiger Balm in his eyes at this time, he didn't know if he could find a place to wash it out. If something bad happened later, he would have difficulty running because his vision was not clear.
Lu Jiamu watched in silence for a while, and found it difficult to integrate into their emotions. He seemed out of place and weird, so he took out his gold-rimmed glasses from his pocket and put them back on his nose, then continued to look around.
This small circular square looks like a huge, classic but bright dial. Roman symbols are painted in order on the ground near the walls, and each Roman numeral corresponds to a door.
The clicking sound in the air is also very similar to that of a clock.
There is a shadow on the ground extending from the center, which looks like a watch needle, but there is only one of it, and it is pointing to the position corresponding to the Roman numeral 1.
Although there are more doors and it is a bit weird, it is not a completely secret room after all. Lu Jiamu is not very good at escaping secret rooms.
In the middle of the field, there were some things that looked like furniture. Lu Jiamu licked his lips and looked up.
There was no ceiling above, it was very high, but it was clear that it was not a normal sky. In the dazzling brightness, a large area of veins resembling the grooves of a brain could be vaguely seen.
Other than that, there's nothing special to note.
After looking around, Lu Jiamu withdrew his gaze and pinched his chin.
According to the extra information that suddenly popped up in my mind just now, the door here can obviously be opened and entered. And this place has nothing to eat except some furniture, so it is true that I must leave here.
Then maybe there might be a difference between exploring now and waiting a while before exploring. He didn't want to miss the opportunity because he was slow.
Lu Jiamu decided to try touching a door without receiving any more information.
In such a weird place, the worst that could happen is that you get eaten by the door. If you're lucky, you might be able to leave right away since you just arrived here not long ago.
After a little thought, he stood up and walked quickly along the shadow pointer on the ground to the door corresponding to 1, trying to see if he could open the door and leave here.
The door seemed to be locked and could not be opened. Lu Jiamu touched the mine once but didn't win, so he didn't want to touch the second one alone, so he walked back.
A burly man who was a head taller than Lu Jiamu and looked very ferocious finally came to his senses when he saw him like this, and asked hurriedly: "Little brother, are you familiar with this place?"
"No."
Lu Jiamu raised his head and glanced at him. Seeing that he had a stubble on his face and looked like a vicious force, he didn't want to have a conflict with him in such a place.
Then he shook his head obediently: "I'm just trying it out. This is my first time here too."
You don't know anything, so you dare to run around? What if there is someone behind the door?
The big man glanced at the safety hammer in Lu Jiamu's hand and didn't want to conflict with him.
So he just gave a thumbs up and said, "Little brother, you are so brave."
Lu Jiamu nodded politely: "Thank you for the compliment."
The burly man replied: "But it's better to be more careful next time."
After the big man finished speaking, the place fell silent. The six people looked at each other, keeping a safe distance with some caution, and looked at each other in silence.
After all, you suddenly appear in a strange place for no apparent reason, and no one can tell what the strangers around you are thinking or whether they have malicious intentions.
But everyone, more or less, focused more on Lu Jiamu and his bright red hammer.
This seemed to be the only thing that could be called a murder weapon. If we had to say who among them was most likely to become an outlaw, it would undoubtedly be Lu Jiamu.
It’s so easy to kill them with one hammer.
Lu Jiamu glanced at their faces expressionlessly.
As a master of expression management for nearly twenty years, he immediately realized their intention.
Although he does not feel wronged by other people's suspicion, in this completely unfamiliar environment, there may be times when teamwork is needed, and it is in his best interest to clarify any questions as soon as possible.
So Lu Jiamu gestured and showed the safety hammer: "I came here by subway, and I got this on the subway."
Seeing that he took the initiative to explain, and that the hammer was indeed very similar to the safety hammer on the subway, and it was the kind of brand new and clean that had never hit anyone, the others felt a little more at ease with him.
Another young man among them looked around and raised his hand slightly like an elementary school student to break the awkwardness: "Um..."
He had a brilliant short golden hair, and no one knew if it was dyed. He curled his lips and smiled like a big golden retriever, which reduced the fear in the air: "Do you feel that there is something suddenly in your mind?"
The burly man answered directly, "Yes. I just wanted to ask, I suddenly knew the name and rules of this place out of thin air. Did you know the same thing?"
Several people nodded.
Then, they each said what they "heard", making sure that everyone received the same message.
After informing each other of their knowledge and learning that everyone had come here inexplicably, their vigilance towards each other eased a little.
The fierce-looking man asked, "What do you think?"
Lu Jiamu actually wanted to instigate them to accompany him to try turning the twelve doors one by one, but he knew that the others would not allow him to do so.
Lu Jiamu was troubled by the out-of-control car, so he picked a sofa and sat on it, thinking for himself.
Considering the group of strange black shadows in front of him, Lu Jiamu knew clearly that what happened to him could not be explained by a spoof.
He had never encountered such a thing before and had no experience, so he couldn't guess what would happen next.
According to the perceptions that formed in their minds the moment they came in, there might be some binding rules here, but they were very simple and clear, with only the "mandatory curfew" and the requirement of confidentiality.
However, the sky outside cannot be seen in this area. There is only light that clearly fills the entire space, but no one knows where it comes from.
Apart from the fact that this place itself looks like a watch, I haven't seen a second watch so far, and I don't know how to distinguish between day and night.
Also, which door is the designated door? How is it designated? Just now, Lu Jiamu tried to pull the number 1 door that the shadow "clock needle" pointed to, but it didn't move at all.
The blond youth spread out his hands, smiled and said, "I think we should stay where we are and see if anything else happens. Maybe after a while, we will wake up and find that it was just a dream."
The burly man nodded: "What you said makes sense."
After all, only by surviving can you win.
He looked at everyone present one by one, secretly swallowed his saliva, and then said in a loud voice: "While nothing has changed now, let's introduce ourselves and get to know each other."
The big man said his name was Wang Biao and he used to be a property security captain.
Lu Jiamu felt that this name suited him very well, because he looked strong and tough, like a violent warrior.
Lu Jiamu's gaze subconsciously and calmly swept across the faces of the others, and he found that what Wang Biao said seemed to make the others find a sense of belonging.
Although Lu Jiamu didn't feel anything himself, he knew that in this situation, stabilizing other people's emotions first would be of great help.
He immediately put on a realistic smile and introduced himself.
Several other people followed suit and introduced themselves one after another.
The young man with dyed hair is called Yu Leng. He used to be a programmer and he describes himself as a blessed person.
Because he has been working for less than two years, he is not bald and has thick golden hair.
The two girls who looked very young were actually high school students, one was named Yu Tong and the other was named Wei Xiaoyan.
The remaining older woman was a math teacher named Coleman.
Although the two high school girls were not her students, Coleman's instinct as a teacher made her reflexively comfort them softly when she saw them sobbing out of fear.
Lu Jiamu pinched his chin and felt that this math teacher was really gentle and reliable.
If only his previous math teacher had been half as gentle as he is today, he would probably have gotten more than one perfect score in math.
Everyone had just quickly finished the simplest self-introductions and before they had time to communicate in more detail, a "clang" sound was heard amid the clicking sound of the machinery.
The sound was distant and high, as if it came from an ancient time. It could penetrate time and space and strike directly into people's hearts, shocking them so much that they stopped communicating.
The shadowy pointer that was originally quietly pointing to Door 1 suddenly turned to the door corresponding to the Roman numeral 2.
The light in the room suddenly dimmed rapidly, and the small square shaped like a dial appeared even more mottled.
Having fallen into a dark corner, several people instinctively sensed danger, as if something extremely bad was hidden inside.
But this did satisfy Lu Jiamu's previous curiosity: How to determine day and night without a watch?
The few people who had originally relaxed and found a place to sit jumped up nervously, looked around vigilantly, and remembered the rule: there is a mandatory curfew here, and all players must enter the door at night.
In a moment, darkness appeared in the space. In that darkness, there seemed to be layers of twisted shadows, full of malice.
"I think if we stay here any longer, something bad will happen soon." The blond young man named Yu Leng pointed at door No. 2 and said vigilantly, "Maybe the game hasn't started yet, so all the doors are closed. Now it may have been opened."
"Then what are you talking about?" Lu Jiamu had already jumped up from the sofa holding the diary and hammer, and looked at him like a fool while running.
Wang Biao also started running. He was tall, strong and sturdy. In a few steps, he surpassed Lu Jiamu. He ran to the door first and turned the door handle so rudely as if he wanted to tear it down.
The door opened at once, and behind it was a pure brightness, as if it contained some vigorous power that could calm people's hearts.
He turned around and said in a deep voice, "It can be opened indeed. Come quickly."
Lu Jiamu ran to the door and turned his head to look at the nearby Door No. 3. In his peripheral vision, he saw the rapidly spreading darkness.
He wanted to try whether that door could be opened to determine whether Door No. 2 was the only solution, but he knew that now was not the time to commit suicide.
Before the square was completely shrouded in darkness, a few people walked through and closed the door with a click.
A dead silence and cold darkness appeared in front of the door one after another.
**
The moment he entered, Lu Jiamu felt that there was new information in his mind:
Primary teaching scene: Ghost Academy
Number of people: 6
Task Description: Today is your first day of school. Although the new courses will be more difficult than before, you are still happy because you have graduated from kindergarten.
Please survive for fourteen days and learn as many basic knowledge and skills as possible.
A hoarse and unpleasant voice, as if there was a mouthful of phlegm in the throat, rang out: "Welcome, students, to the third compulsory education campus."
The voice was so unpleasant that people wanted to hit him and teach him a lesson so that he would speak properly.
Lu Jiamu opened his eyes and found himself in a small classroom, sitting upright in front of a small dark yellow table.
He felt that his vision had become shorter, as if he had suddenly shrunk and regressed to become a child. When Lu Jiamu lowered his head, he saw a pair of tender little hands in his field of vision, so he clenched his fists expressionlessly.
It turned out to be his own hand.
There were two very strange-looking men standing on the podium in front.
The skin on the left was dry and pale, but one could clearly see the dark black blood vessels hidden under the skin. His lips were purple, and he looked more like a zombie than a living person.
The other one looked even more terrifying. His body was completely swollen, and his face was covered with tumors. His clothes were also bulging and deflated in some places. It was foreseeable that his body was also covered with tumors.
This face...can no longer be simply described as deformed or something like that, it is clearly the appearance of a dead person.
Lu Jiamu looked at it quietly for a moment, and his eyelids twitched.
He used to think that the dead person's appearance was just an insult, but now he knows that it really exists.
His classmate next to him exclaimed "Oh shit!", expressing his surprise.
