Chapter 3: Ghost Academy

Chapter 3: Ghost Academy

Lu Jiamu turned his head and saw a brilliant short golden hair.

The blond owner's face was filled with fear, and he and his chair were bouncing backwards wildly.

The kid's facial features looked familiar, and his blond hair was very eye-catching. Lu Jiamu thought that this guy was the blessed young man who called himself Yu Leng in the Wheel of Time and Space, but now he was a smaller version.

Referring to his body shape and figure, Lu Jiamu felt that they had at least been condensed and regressed to the level of elementary school students.

Yu Leng also noticed his deskmate and felt that he looked familiar.

He thought for two seconds, then asked in a surprised voice: "...Lu Jiamu?"

The mummy-like man on the podium tapped the blackboard: "Please keep quiet and don't whisper to each other."

"21423, do you have any questions?"

Yu Leng had calmed down somewhat and wanted to ask something else.

Lu Jiamu crossed his hands, held his chin, and glanced at the sticker with the number 21423 on the corner of Yu Leng's desk. After waiting for two seconds and seeing that he didn't respond, he whispered, "I'm calling you."

Yu Leng finally came back to his senses, put away his panic, and answered obediently and loudly: "Teacher, I have no problem."

The mummy-like man continued, "Today is your first day of school. I am your homeroom teacher, Mr. Gao. If there are no unexpected accidents or transfers, I will be your homeroom teacher for the next twelve years."

After he finished speaking, he looked at the man who was swollen and covered with strange tumors and said, "This is our class teacher, Mr. Wen. Today, he will give you the first lesson after school."

Teacher Gao, who looked like a mummy, said so many words, and it seemed that he was completely suffocated by the phlegm that was stuck in his throat. His face became paler, and the black blood vessels underneath became darker. It seemed that he might fall to the ground and never get up again in the next second.

He coughed twice and stepped aside to allow the man with tumors all over his body to walk to the center of the podium.

The swollen man seemed a little angry, and his tumors squirmed several times.

He said seriously: "I am your teacher, Mr. Wen. I sincerely hope that I can teach you smoothly for twelve years.

"First of all, let me emphasize that you are already kindergarten graduates, not children anymore, and you must remember your numbers. I just saw some students not even knowing that Teacher Gao was calling them, and they had to be reminded by other students before they reacted. This is really inappropriate."

Yu Leng, who was criticized by name, smiled awkwardly, sat up straight, and muttered quietly: "He has the demeanor of my elementary school teacher..."

In fact, his elementary school teacher was much worse than this.

However, he had attended elementary school and knew that elementary school teachers usually liked to call out people's names or seat numbers, and rarely came up with such complicated numbering.

This is a bit strange.

Teacher Wen continued, "21 represents the age number. You are the 21st class of our college. 4 represents that you are in Class 4. For example, taking student 21423, 23 represents that he is the 23rd student. This is very important, please remember it."

Yu Leng, who was called again, sat up straighter.

"Okay, I won't emphasize these things too much." He continued, "I believe that everyone has already had some understanding of our school before enrolling, but I still want to briefly introduce the school rules in case there are still some of you who don't know."

"Our entire school campus was founded by the great first principal. This is one of the few security bases with a very high security level. As long as you stay within the campus, you will not encounter very dangerous incidents. Therefore, you are not allowed to leave the school before graduation. Leaving the school without permission is a serious violation of discipline.

"Of course, although there won't be any extremely dangerous incidents, you will still encounter some strange things during your student life. If you still have the energy to deal with such things, you can ask us for help.

"Now, let's record our class schedule."

Teacher Wen opened a large poster and pasted it on the blackboard.

It says that all students need to get up at six o'clock in the morning, check in their dormitories and have breakfast.

6:30-7:00, Mathematics Morning Reading

Then the formal classes began, with one class lasting one hour, and a twenty-minute break.

Yu Leng looked at the class schedule below with great interest.

First lesson: Basic physical training

Second lesson: Close combat

Lesson 3: Elementary Cold Weapon Combat

Lesson 4: Introduction to long-range firearms theory and application

12:00, lunch, lunch break, class resumes at 1:00 p.m.

The first class in the afternoon: Principles of electromechanics

Lesson 2: Basic knowledge of ghosts

Lesson 3: Environmental Biology

Lesson 4: Modern History

Lesson 5: Comprehensive Arts and Sciences

19:40-21:00, Chinese evening reading

22:00, lights out

This...just looking at the name, isn't it a bit too high-end?

The more Yu Leng looked, the more stunned he became, and finally he opened his mouth stupidly: We... aren’t we a group of first-grade elementary school students who have just enrolled?

It really is a teaching scene... not a single word was wrong.

Although Lu Jiamu did not expect to come to a pure land of learning after passing through the light gate, he still took out a pen and began to record his class schedule.

Teacher Wen knocked on the blackboard and said coldly: "You come here to study hard. If you work harder now, it will save your life in the future.

"Let me be frank. The average survival rate of students who complete twelve years of study in our school is only 5%. The survival rate of the first six years is 50%. Although we are your teachers, we are not your babysitters. Your life or death has nothing to do with us and does not affect our performance. Even if you all die, it has nothing to do with us.

"I know some of you may want the school to offer career planning courses as soon as possible, but because many of you may not live to see the time when you need career planning, this course will not be offered until the sixth grade."

His words reminded Yu Leng of what his teacher said in his senior year of high school: How you perform in the college entrance examination and what university you get into has nothing to do with me and does not affect my salary.

And career planning classes and stuff...are everyone in your school so well-planned?

"Of course, in addition to learning skills on your own, as a school, we must also have a screening and reward and punishment mechanism. We will conduct an assessment every Sunday. If any students fail the test, they will be sent to off-campus training. As far as I know, the survival rate of students who go to training is very low."

Teacher Wen dug into his pocket and pulled out a lychee-flavored lollipop: "The first place in the exam will be rewarded with a lollipop."

"Okay, I've almost finished what I said."

Teacher Gao nodded, looking like a mummy, and walked back to the center of the podium. He smiled and said in a hoarse voice, "Teacher Wen is quite strict, but you don't have to be too scared. After all, you are all the best graduates in the kindergarten and the hope of the future of the motherland. We will take care of you as much as possible."

As he spoke, he lifted a large box onto the table and opened it. He took out a black cross from it with one hand and a Tai Chi sword with the other. He held them on both sides with open arms for demonstration: "Students, please look. This is the equipment our class is equipped with. It is enough to ensure everyone's safety on campus."

Lu Jiamu stared at him and touched his chin.

Teacher Gao said with a smile: "And the pass rate that Teacher Wen just mentioned is only for ordinary people. If you can awaken your superpowers, the pass rate will increase significantly. So if you feel any strange changes in your body, tell us, this is a good thing. All students who awaken their superpowers will be given special training.

Teacher Gao looked at his watch and said, "Okay, it's almost time, let's go and do whatever we want after class."

When Lu Jiamu heard the word "free time", he immediately leaned over to search in the table pocket. Soon he saw the familiar cover of Fang Gu's diary and the bright red hammer.

They are all lying safely in the table pocket and have not been lost.

Because they were all elementary school students, the threat between them had been reduced to the lowest level. Yu Leng no longer had so many concerns about Lu Jiamu, and was observing what he was flipping through without restraint or concealment.

After Lu Jiamu confirmed that the diary and the hammer were still there, he covered them with the other books again. He didn't rush to take them out, and then looked back at the other party.

Yu Leng laughed: "You were very cute when you were a child."

Although he knew that he was just idle, in order not to ruin the relationship between his companions from the beginning, Lu Jiamu nodded expressionlessly and responded to him: "You were also very cute when you were a child."

The other four people who came here through the door from the Wheel of Time were also in this class. After class, they took the initiative to look for their own companions.

Although they suddenly shrunk into elementary school students, the facial features of the six people still retained the shadows of their grown-up selves.

They met again soon and gathered in a deserted corner.

Wang Biao lives up to his name, looking strong and tough. Even as a child, he is still much taller than others.

His face looked unhappy. He glanced at the two weirdos on the podium and whispered, "You know the mission, right?"
