Chapter 73 Hellhound
"Is the dog big? How big?" Yu Leng was a little curious, then turned around and looked at the others, "Do you want to go and take a look?"
Although feeding the dogs is something that should be done by the cooks and servants, they don't seem very strong.
Lu Jiamu had already made his bed, so he said, "Go and take a look."
Wang Biao also nodded: "I'll go too. Do you remember the way?"
The cook girl held the basin of food and said, "Remember. It's behind the villa."
Kouman also wanted to go, but Wang Biao said that they were just going to see a dog and there was no need for so many people, so it would be enough for them to go, and asked her to rest for a while.
With the company of three people, the cook girl breathed a sigh of relief.
When the four people walked out of the villa, they happened to bump into the housekeeper who was standing at the door, doing something unknown.
The butler turned back to face them and seemed to notice the bowl of food: "Has the dog not been fed yet?"
Wang Biao replied: "I was just about to feed him."
The butler nodded and said, "The dog of the Batty family is also an important member of the manor. You should take care of it as you would the owner. Normally, you need to cook a meal for it. Because there are a lot of leftovers today, we don't need to do that."
The cook girl asked timidly: "Mr. Butler, that dog seems a little big... How should I feed it?"
The butler paused and said, "Just feed it like a normal dog. Don't let it starve."
It has no face, and its tone is businesslike and no emotion can be seen, but it is obvious that it will not answer seriously on matters like this.
After saying goodbye to the housekeeper, the three followed the cook girl around to the back of the manor villa and saw a huge dilapidated house with a sign on the door that read: dog
When they came, they didn't see this shabby house because of the villa that hid it.
Several pairs of large scarlet eyes opened in the dim, dilapidated house. The cook girl stopped at a distance and said, "It's inside."
Lu Jiamu took two steps forward and was able to get a full glimpse of the owner of the eyes.
Yu Leng looked at the two-story-high creature with three heads and was stunned: "Hell... Hellhound?"
Lu Jiamu pinched his chin and said, "In Batty's impression, dogs must be very scary creatures."
“That makes sense.”
The creature in the dilapidated house suddenly opened the mouth of one of its heads and pounced down fiercely.
Lu Jiamu was still holding his chin, standing calmly in place without dodging, but the edge of his figure had become blurred, as if it was a string of tampered data.
The vicious dog's bloody mouth pierced through his body.
He ignored the attack.
But Yu Leng, who was standing behind Lu Jiamu, had not yet gotten used to his new ability, and was caught off guard. Seeing that the big mouth was about to bite him, he had no choice but to roll on the ground in panic, yelling, "Fuck!"
In desperation, Wang Biao kicked him again to help him roll further away. The vicious dog's big mouth closed beside him with a click, and a long stream of saliva flew out.
If he hadn't rolled quickly out of reflex and been blocked by Wang Biao, he would have been swallowed by the dog.
Yu Leng stood up awkwardly, with goose bumps all over his body. He patted his clothes and looked at Lu Jiamu in horror: "You are really a swindler!"
Lu Jiamu turned around and looked at him, giving him a fake smile: "You can also not stand behind me."
"Fortunately, I didn't let those people come over, otherwise I'm afraid they would have fed me to the dogs."
Wang Biao walked back while muttering, picked out a piece of meat from the basin held by the cook girl, swung his arm and threw it into the doghouse.
The dogs in the kennel lowered their three heads in turn and went over to sniff, but none of them ate it.
Wang Biao asked in confusion: "Why doesn't it eat?"
The cook girl said a little worriedly, "The housekeeper specifically emphasized that the dog must be fed. If it is not fed, will the housekeeper notice?"
"Of course they will, and they will fire us." Lu Jiamu observed for a moment and noticed that there was a dog food bowl behind the three giant dogs at the innermost part of the broken doghouse. He smiled and pointed, "The dog raised by Batty should be a well-trained hound. As a hound, it certainly won't eat food dropped on the ground."
Several others noticed the dog bowl, which looked tiny in comparison. “We need to put the meat in that bowl?”
"It should be."
"Who's going to release it?"
Yu Leng and the cook girl were delicate and frail, so they went in to fill the gaps between the three-headed dog's teeth. Although Wang Biao was stronger, he was not as agile. If he went in alone, the food in the basin might spill out halfway.
After a second of silence, Lu Jiamu looked at them and said, "I'll go this time."
Several people nodded, and Wang Biao said, "I'll cover you. You guys stand further away."
Yu Leng and the cook girl immediately stepped back and handed the basin to Lu Jiamu. Wang Biao took a deep breath and rushed into the huge broken doghouse.
The three-headed dog immediately howled and attacked the intruder. However, the strange scales on Wang Biao's body had already stood up, and the vicious dog couldn't bite him through in one bite.
Seeing this opportunity, Lu Jiamu immediately picked up the basin of meat and ran along the corner of the room.
But the vicious dog had three heads, each with several pairs of eyes, so it was hard not to notice him and the meat in his hand. It soon diverted its attention from Wang Biao and launched an attack on him.
Lu Jiamu was also running while paying attention to the situation over here with the vicious dog. When he saw it turn around to bite him, he immediately exerted force with both hands and threw the basin high up. His body suddenly became ethereal, so the vicious dog missed his bite. Then he gathered his strength and jumped up to catch the basin, and continued to run inside frantically.
The three vicious dogs wanted to bite Lu Jiamu again, but Wang Biao had already grabbed its tail, climbed onto its back, and began to pull the dog's hair with both hands.
The dog's intelligence was obviously not very high. As soon as it felt the pain, it gave up on Lu Jiamu. Its three heads turned at the same time, swinging its tail to try to bite Wang Biao off its body.
Lu Jiamu had already run to the innermost end of the doghouse with the bowl in his hand at the speed of a 100-meter sprint. He kicked the dog food bowl and poured all the mixed meat in his hand into it. He wiped it again and ran back with the empty bowl.
It was much easier to go out than to come in, and Wang Biao also jumped off the dog.
Lu Jiamu threw the basin to him and began to wave it back and forth in front of the vicious dog, attracting the dog's attention again and helping Wang Biao escape from the doghouse smoothly.
One of them couldn't bite the other, and the other couldn't bite at all. The three vicious dogs roared and wanted to rush out of the kennel to bite them, but the strong iron chains restricted their movement.
The three vicious dogs wandered around the door for a few steps, then had to retreat back into their kennel and eat the meat in the dog bowl.
Several people stood outside and stared at it. They waited until it finished eating all the meat and returned to the door to growl at them. Only then did Lu Jiamu clapped his hands and said, "We've finished feeding it. Go back."
When they were about to enter the villa, they saw the housekeeper still standing at the door of the villa, not knowing what he was doing.
The housekeeper looked somewhere and asked, "Have you fed the dogs this time?"
"I'm done."
"I'll go check on it later. You guys should go to bed early." The housekeeper said calmly, "Starting tomorrow, you have to prepare meat for it and comb its hair. It has an equally important position in this manor, so you have to eat well every meal."
This probably implies that one has to eat one person every day.
The four of them agreed obediently, then walked into the villa and briefly informed the others of what happened at the kennel.
It was getting dark, and Batty ran back and forth twice before returning to the second floor. Lu Jiamu accompanied the applicant who had changed the dolls' dresses before dinner to the second floor again, changed the dolls back into home clothes, and then hung the dresses neatly back on the hangers and put them in the closet.
After that, the host and hostess did not assign them any extra work that day. The eight people were happy not to go out again, and they locked the door from the inside early after returning home.
At nine o'clock in the evening, the clock in the villa rang a few times. Several people who were ready to rest heard the door being knocked.
The applicants in the same room as them thought that the girls from another room came to see them for something, and the one closest to the door immediately got up and prepared to open it.
Lu Jiamu, who had found a book and was half leaning against the bed to read, held him down and adjusted his glasses: "It's getting dark, don't go out and run around."
The applicant shrank back at that.
Lu Jiamu closed the book and got out of bed. He quietly went to the door, turned the peephole and looked outside.
There was no corridor scene outside the peephole, just a strange expanse of white.
Lu Jiamu blinked, reached out and touched the cat's eye. After making sure that there was no stain on this side of the cat's eye, he turned the cat's eye back and said in a low voice with a smile, "Maybe the night shift servant is here."
The applicant was a little confused: "Night maid?"
"Yes." Lu Jiamu nodded and walked back. "The mistress told us not to serve them at night. It might be because there are another group of servants at night."
When he walked back, he noticed from the corner of his eye that the eyes of the portrait hanging on the wall of the room suddenly moved, and the whole face turned to look at him, with the corners of its mouth pulled upwards significantly.
Lu Jiamu pretended not to see it, went back to his bed and took off his glasses: "It's getting late, go to bed quickly, don't be curious about things we shouldn't know."
As the lights in the house were turned off, several people vaguely heard footsteps outside the room. Perhaps there really was another group of people in this mansion at night.
The two applicants huddled under their covers. They were the least curious.
Nothing outside came in to disturb them, and the first night passed peacefully.
The next morning, everyone got up early again. The cook began to prepare today's breakfast according to the menu given to her by the housekeeper yesterday, and even prepared an extra portion for the three vicious dogs.
After setting up breakfast, Kouman said goodbye to the host and hostess, took the meat and called Wang Biao to go out together.
She knew that it was Lu Jiamu who brought food to the dog yesterday, so she decided to go by herself today and prepare to comb the three-headed dog's hair according to the housekeeper's instructions.
After breakfast, Lu Jiamu took Yu Leng and Wei Xiaoyan to see Batti to learn about the course instructions.
