Chapter 8 Classification of Ghosts

Chapter 8 Classification of Ghosts

The first class in the afternoon was actually about learning how to disassemble the machine and how to draw blueprints.

Teacher Wen found a piece of broken machine part from somewhere and showed it to them. He then put the gears, screws and other parts together in different categories, and then casually assembled it into an incomprehensible thing.

Lu Jiamu felt that the whole class was full of fun of handicrafts and painting.

The following three classes, Basic Knowledge of Ghosts, Environmental Biology, and Modern History, although read as three courses, actually teach the same content.

Because basic knowledge about ghosts is just like its name, and modern history is actually the history of confrontation between ghosts and monsters in major bases. Environmental biology is actually about exploring and studying ghosts in the dark outside the bases, and everything you learn is about ghosts.

Although it sounds like the first class should be more inclined to introduce an overview of ghosts, the second class should introduce ghost stories and social values, and the third class should focus on displaying ghost illustrations. It should be an information collection subject.

But because the teacher is the same person, he has the final say on what to teach and how to teach.

Lu Jiamu took out an empty notebook and a pen, ready to write down anything if necessary.

His memory has always been good. After Teacher Wen explained it once, he remembered it word for word and mastered more information about this world.

According to Mr. Wen, the distortion of this world has lasted for more than 500 years, and the specific origin is no longer traceable. We only know that since then, the original order of this world has been disrupted, and ghosts have begun to appear.

Accompanying the ghosts and monsters are some people with strange abilities or sealed objects. They rely on their abilities to work together to build bases.

This school is one of those bases, and it has survived to this day thanks to the great first principal and a sealed object he left behind.

In the constant struggle, the people of this world divided the ghosts and monsters into five levels according to their abilities and harmfulness.

The first level is described as: just existing.

Ghosts at this level have basically no intelligence. They don't notice humans, can't harm humans, or can be directly defeated by ordinary tools of ordinary humans.

Their existence seems to have no meaning other than wandering around.

The second level is described as: there is some harm, but the impact is limited.

They have a certain intelligence, but they don't have the ability to kill people directly. They can only affect people indirectly, and at most can only affect a certain area.

As long as you are sane and have some IQ, you will basically not be killed.

The third level is described as: harmful, with a wide range of impact.

The fourth level is described as being able to quickly occupy an area and create a ghost zone.

It is highly contagious.

The fifth level is described as being able to destroy a city in an instant.

However, since they are generally unobservable and the observer cannot survive, it is difficult to speculate on their specific capabilities.

The abilities of psychics and sealed objects are similar to this classification, but because the main focus is still on ghosts, Mr. Wen briefly mentioned them.

Since the school has that core seal, the ghosts wandering around the campus are basically level one and two. Occasionally, level three ghosts will appear, but they will most likely be eaten by the seal afterwards.

And the closer the area is to the core seal, the safer it is.

Teacher Wen told them ghost stories in a vivid and emotional way.

In other words, the female ghost that harassed them at night might be a level two ghost. As long as one's IQ is high, they will basically not be harmed by it.

So its essence is just to scare people, trying to scare people to the point that their IQ drops. That's the extent of its influence.

While Lu Jiamu was thinking, he started to scribble on the notebook.

The three classes ended quickly with Teacher Wen telling ghost stories, and then the comprehensive liberal arts and science and Chinese evening reading began.

These two classes are very friendly to them because the liberal arts subjects for these children are just at the literacy stage, which is very simple.

Except for Wang Biao, all of them were science students, and they were not afraid of anything in science. In comparison, this seemed to be the only advantage they had in living for so many years.

At nine o'clock, the last Chinese evening reading class ended. Teacher Gao did not take them back to the dormitory directly like yesterday, but told them that the next hour was free time.

There is a library and an equipment room in the teaching building, both of which can be used.

Wang Biao came over and asked them: "I want to go to the library, would you like to join me?"

Through the afternoon teaching class, Lu Jiamu found out more useful information. He no longer had any concerns about the teacher's words that the teaching building was allowed to be opened, and he nodded in agreement.

Yu Leng also nodded, hoping to learn more information.

The two men stood up and followed Wang Biao to ask the three girls what they wanted.

Coleman agreed after a little thought, but the two high school students were very hesitant.

Although it was safer to follow my companions, it was really scary to wander around the campus so late at night. It was obviously safer to go back to the dormitory.

But they also don't want to seem like they're lagging behind.

Seeing them hesitate, Kou Man spoke up to help them out: "We have enough people, you should go back to the dormitory, both of you, don't separate."

The two little girls nodded.

The four of them hurried out of the classroom.

As Yu Leng walked, he asked with some anticipation: "I wonder what books are in the library here."

Coleman smiled and said, "We only have an hour, so we may not have enough time to check. We just need to find out the situation today."

They chatted for a while, each expressing their own views on the day, and then walked through the corridor to the stairwell.

They are now on the second floor and the library is on the sixth floor.

Wang Biao was the last one to pass through the stairwell door. When he pushed the door open, he felt a breeze blowing across the back of his neck, as if someone was blowing a breath of cold air at the back of his head.

Wang Biao immediately retracted his hand that was touching the door, covered his neck, and stared back at the door of the stairwell vigilantly.

The door slammed against the door frame with a loud bang, which echoed continuously in the narrow staircase, scaring Yu Leng and Kou Man.

Lu Jiamu looked back expressionlessly, sizing up Wang Biao carefully.

Yu Leng, who was walking in front, asked nervously in a low voice: "What's wrong?"

Wang Biao stared at the broken door for a while, but couldn't see anything wrong. He couldn't help but sigh: He is really overly nervous.

It's not strange that some wind blows when the door is opened, right?

Wang Biao pinched the back of his neck: "It's okay."

Yu Leng and Kou Man breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.

Yu Leng said: "I was scared to death."

Wang Biao felt a little guilty. He didn't expect that he was so big and strong, but he was so timid. "I'm sorry."

Lu Jiamu retracted his gaze, pushed Yu Leng, and signaled him to leave quickly.

Yu Leng didn't look back and continued walking forward, and soon arrived at the floor marked with the number 6.

Then the four of them noticed that the stairs did not end here, there were further stairs going upwards, and no one knew where they led to.

They all observed carefully at the end of the outdoor class and found that the teaching building only had six floors from the outside.

The remaining stairs are redundant.

Yu Leng touched his golden hair and became a little nervous again: "Where is it on top?"

Coleman thought for a moment and replied in a low voice: "Maybe it leads to the rooftop."

Yu Leng felt that he had forgotten this because he was so nervous. Indeed, many buildings have a staircase leading to the roof, or there are hidden floors above the top floor, which are used as computer rooms or something like that.

Wang Biao urged from behind: "Time is running out, let's go find a library first."

Yu Leng nodded and looked at the heavy broken door in the stairwell on the sixth floor.

He walked forward and opened the door, and saw that the corridor on the sixth floor of the teaching building was pitch black and there was no light.

The darkness seemed real, like a wall blocking the door.

Yu Leng: "There's no light on this floor? We didn't bring any."

Just as he finished speaking, he saw a large number of eyes suddenly opened in the darkness, staring at them dully and crowdedly.

grass!

Yu Leng suddenly saw this scene and dreamed back to the moment when he observed the female ghost up close last night.

A scream caught in his throat and he slammed the door faster than he thought.

Faintly, he heard a faint, illusory laugh: Hehehehe…
