Chapter 7 Class starts
A group of children formed a circle around the little body in an orderly manner.
It was the first time that Yu Leng saw high-definition, non-coded 5D effects up close, and he watched it for such a long time that he almost vomited.
Teacher, don’t you think this is not conducive to the healthy physical and mental development of children?
Fortunately, I only had some pancakes and porridge for breakfast.
A child was the first to raise his hand and answer: "Teacher, he drowned."
Teacher Wen said unhappily, "Of course I know he drowned. I was asking for details."
"If you can't tell me, I'll throw your entire class into the pond today!"
Lu Jiamu glanced at the corpse's bulging belly, which was vaguely visible because it was lying on its back. He raised his hand and said, "Teacher, he ate a lot of stones, but there are no stones near the pond. There is a wound at the corner of his mouth, which should have been caused by a stone."
"Teacher, although there are marks on his wrists and ankles, they are very shallow and the bruises are not obvious. He should not have been dragged into the water and drowned."
"teacher……"
Teacher Wen did not deny what they said.
The more Yu Leng listened, the more uncomfortable he felt.
He then gradually imagined that the child walked out of the school building, into darkness, and was led by the female ghost along a secluded and desolate road.
He kept muttering "I want to eat cake" all the way, picking up stones from the roadside and stuffing them into his mouth, then walked to the pond while eating gluttonously. He was lightly restrained by the ghost woman's hair, and was weighed down by the stones in his stomach and sank to the bottom of the water little by little, drowning.
Teacher Wen listened to the students' answers and occasionally responded with a few words to add to the ghost stories they were telling.
Although everyone seemed calm, the rule of not responding to the calls of strange things at night was deeply engraved in their bones.
…
After they answered the questions again, Teacher Wen nodded with satisfaction: "Very good, the students' observations are very detailed."
After saying that, he took them back to the teaching building and started their morning math reading.
I didn't expect that this school, whether it is the teachers, students or the timetable, looks so powerful and cruel, but math is actually quite easy to learn, and students are still learning the most basic addition, subtraction and multiplication formulas.
Yu Leng watched Teacher Wen seriously write down the rules of addition and subtraction within 100 and multiplication and division within 10 on the blackboard, and inexplicably he felt a sense of returning to reality.
So primary school students should act like primary school students.
As someone who had graduated from elementary school a long time ago, his nearly collapsed bad mood finally had some room to buffer and he had time to adjust.
Lu Jiamu seemed to be listening attentively, but in fact he was staring at the blackboard in a daze.
The two of them didn't do any of the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division exercises that Teacher Wen wrote on the blackboard because he didn't check them.
Although Mr. Wen randomly selects a number to answer each math problem, as two adults, these simple problems can be completed within one second even if they do mental arithmetic.
After half an hour of leisure, it was time for the class to start. The skinny teacher Gao came to the classroom again and led them downstairs to prepare to start the first class: basic physical training.
When Teacher Gao was leading them in warm-up exercises, Teacher Wen left their sight for a while, and then pushed a tattered bicycle in from somewhere.
Teacher Gao looked at him and nodded.
Teacher Wen introduced: "For the first physical training, we will run around the school teaching area twice."
After Teacher Wen finished speaking, he got on his bicycle.
Teacher Gao jumped lightly and sat on the back seat of the bicycle. He faced them and took out the loudspeaker from his bag. He said hoarsely, "Students, get ready quickly and be careful not to get lost. If you get lost, we won't look for you."
His unpleasant voice, which made people want to beat him up, was amplified like a devil's sound filling their ears.
Teacher Wen started pedaling the bicycle in front, while Teacher Gao sat behind them, staring at them intently, supervising them: "Students, get moving."
Teacher Gao's cheeks are dry and dehydrated, making his eyes look particularly big, and he looks like he is staring at everything.
Seeing that he was staring at him indiscriminately, Lu Jiamu paused and let others start first.
He didn't really want to follow the bicycle closely; it would be awkward to be stared at.
Once the team was disbanded, the six people were finally able to get together again.
"I haven't exercised like this since I graduated from high school." The unfamiliar elementary school students nearby had already started running, keeping a distance between each other. Yu Leng finally had a chance to speak, and pulled the corner of his mouth, "Why is he looking at us like that? I'm going to have a nightmare."
Wang Biao responded with a straight face: "Just bear with it and run well. It's just two laps."
After a moment of silence, Kou Man suddenly asked softly, "Is the shadow that could hold the corpse that Teacher Wen had this morning a supernatural power?"
Wang Biao shook his head and sighed: "I don't know. We know too little about this place now. Maybe we will know tomorrow."
Long-distance running is a physically demanding activity, and although it is read as “two laps”, in fact they have no idea how big the school’s teaching area is.
If one lap is only one kilometer, then running two kilometers is two laps. But if one lap is ten kilometers, then running twenty kilometers is also two laps, which is a big difference.
Look at those two teachers who even took out their bicycles to take them running. The situation is not optimistic.
Lu Jiamu didn't want to respond to them. He adjusted his breathing and looked around, starting to build a topographic map in his mind, trying to figure out the layout of the school through this long run.
Teacher Gao glared at them while shouting slogans through a loudspeaker. After shouting for most of the class, he barely ran around that part of the school's teaching area.
Teacher Gao shouted again: "If you can't finish the race, we'll keep you in class!"
Back to the starting point again, the second lap was just about to begin when Lu Jiamu heard a faint sobbing sound behind him.
Lu Jiamu looked back and saw the two youngest girls. One of them was biting her lips and her eyes were red, while the other was sobbing softly.
From yesterday to today, they first encountered supernatural events in their own home, and then ended up in a completely unfamiliar environment.
Now they were sent here to encounter all this and had to endure such high-intensity continuous running, which made them on the verge of complete collapse. They wanted to give up and take a rest.
Coleman ran in front of them, holding one in each hand, pulling them and not letting them stop.
She knew very well that this place was different from the school that everyone had in mind. It was not that you could stop and run a few laps or take a rest when you were tired. If you fell behind or got lost, you might die.
Lu Jiamu took a look, looked away, and continued to run with the students in front of him.
Unexpectedly, at this point when it comes to relying on one's own abilities, this former math teacher is still willing to help them.
Having been running for such a long time, all the children were almost exhausted. However, they all knew that they had to run with one breath and could not stop no matter how slowly they ran.
They stretched the team very long, so even if they fell behind a little, they would not lose their way because they could not see the two teachers.
The first class lasted only an hour, and the short and weak kids in their class were unable to reach the finish line in the first period, so Teacher Wen had to slow down his bike riding.
After a break, the second class had started for more than ten minutes before the student with the longest legs and the fastest runner finally reached the finish line.
Teacher Gao shouted hoarsely through the loudspeaker: "You are running too slowly! The time for the next class will be deducted from your lunch break!"
The way he said this really sounded like the teacher in Lu Jiamu's high school who loved to keep the class going after 50 minutes even though it was the last class in the morning but still tried to cover 50 minutes of content in 45 minutes.
Teacher Wen put the bicycle away and came back to stare at them with Teacher Gao.
When most people had run back, the two teachers immediately started the second class.
The children who ran back first had the chance to rest for a while, while the last ones who came back didn't even have time to catch their breath before they were brought into a new exercise.
The tears that Yu Tong and Wei Xiaoyan had just cried had now dried up in the wind. They looked at the weird faces of the two vicious teachers and forced themselves to hold back their new tears.
The second class is called close combat, which is actually more similar to judo and wrestling.
Teacher Wen took them to a sandy area and spent the first half of the class teaching them how to throw themselves to the ground with the correct posture. In the second half of the class, he taught them several moves and asked them to form teams of two and throw themselves to each other.
Lu Jiamu had some knowledge of this kind of thing before, and knew that it was for the purpose of being able to throw out instinctive movements, so as to minimize the damage to himself in future battles.
He had no fear of falling, and practiced falling techniques according to Teacher Wen's requirements with an expressionless face.
Yu Lenze grinned and was thankful that Lu Jiamu was number 22 and he was number 23. Although their numbers were next to each other, they were still separated and would not be in the same group.
Otherwise, he didn't want to cause any conflicts with this teammate, whom he had only known for one day, didn't talk much to, and didn't fully understand, because of fighting.
One morning later, Lu Jiamu found out that although the timetable still showed different courses, they were actually all taught by the same teacher, and Teacher Gao only supervised or provided assistance from the side.
After teaching them various wrestling techniques, they were taught daggers, sticks and the like in the third cold weapon combat class.
In the fourth class, in addition to teaching them how to shoot, Teacher Wen even carried a rocket launcher to demonstrate its use to them: "In your future exploration missions, you may pick up similar equipment, so you must know how to use it."
Yu Leng couldn't find a better word to describe it except "terrifying".
At noon, the two teachers delayed the class for another 20 minutes before letting them go to eat.
Lunch was just as simple as breakfast.
But because of the intense exercise throughout the morning, every child ate very happily.
After dinner, they were finally taken back to the classroom.
Lu Jiamu sat in his seat in a daze for a while, then took out the death diary as usual and looked at it carefully.
The scribbles were exactly the same as they had been yesterday, but there were two tiny spots of ink on the first page.
He stretched out his hand and wiped it, and the ink spots spread out along with his strength.
It's newly applied.
Lu Jiamu stared at the paper for a while. Seeing that the ink spots did not change, he closed the notebook and stuffed it back into the innermost part of his desk pocket, preparing to observe again tomorrow.
They rested for only twenty minutes before the two teachers came in again conscientiously, ready to start the afternoon class.
