Chapter 53 Police Station Invitation
**
In less than two minutes, several sirens sounded from afar, and soon, several police floats arrived.
Officer Emily rushed in quickly with several fully armed police officers.
Their arrival quieted the originally noisy venue, and all the tourists' attention was focused here.
"Mr. Gu!" Officer Emily ran over.
Although she felt that An Zhi's discovery in the morning was a stroke of luck, the police have not yet found any clues.
So she decided to try her luck.
"Seal off the perimeter! Officers A and B, check that door immediately!"
Two police officers quickly stepped forward. They first tried to use sensors to check if there was any sign of life behind the door, but the result surprised everyone.
"Report! Sensors show no signs of life behind the door!"
A police officer reported.
"Impossible!" An Zhi's face flushed red. She rushed to the door and banged on the metal door desperately with her little hands.
"There are little fish crying! They're in here! They're so scared!"
She looked at Officer Emily anxiously, "Sister, save them!"
Officer Emily frowned tightly.
The sensor didn't respond, yet the child's identification was so firm and painful. Could it be that a special masking technique could deceive ordinary detectors?
She finally chose to believe An Zhi.
"Break the door!"
The police officers immediately took out powerful tools to break the door, and the harsh cutting sounds and metal friction sounds instantly resounded throughout the dome.
Sparks flew and the metal door began to deform under the huge force.
The tourists around screamed and stepped back.
"What are you doing?! This is an internal facility! You're going to ruin the venue!"
A man who looked like a manager rushed over with a pale face and tried to stop it.
"Back off!" Officer Emily shouted. "There could be a kidnapping here! Can you handle the responsibility if you delay rescuing someone?!"
The staff was stunned by Officer Emily's aura and stood there in a daze.
"Boom!" With a deafening roar, the metal door was finally completely broken open, revealing a pitch-black entrance.
A cold, damp smell wafted from inside, mingled with a sickening sweetness. Gu Changfeng, who had been standing at the front, knew something was amiss almost as the goal was broken. He scooped An Zhi up, shoved him into Gu Jinyan's hands, and pushed the two children out of the crowd.
"Wait a moment!"
He turned around and a few flashlight beams swept across, and there were sudden gasps all around.
The police officer holding the flashlight froze, his breathing seemed to be frozen.
Deep in the passage, in a crude makeshift cubicle, lay three young children with their mouths and noses sealed with tape and their hands and feet tied.
Their faces were purple, their lips were pale, and around them were scattered several balls of cotton cloth stained with drugs.
The most horrifying thing was that on the wall of the compartment where the weapon was broken through, there were some strange runes carved on it, and dried blood was flowing on it.
"Damn! What the hell is this?!" The police officer's voice trembled.
Officer Emily rushed forward and tore off the tape on one of the children's mouth. She put her hand close to the child's neck and shook her head solemnly.
Outside the crowd, An Zhi's small body curled up slightly in Gu Jinyan's arms, as if she had suffered a huge shock.
What she just felt was the despair of these children who were on the verge of death.
"An An..." Gu Jinyan hugged her tightly, feeling extremely heartbroken.
There was no time to mourn as the entire venue was tightly controlled by the police who arrived and conducted a carpet search.
Officer Emily came over.
"Thank you all for the information you provided. If it weren't for you..."
Gu Changfeng waved his hand gently to signal her to speak directly if she had anything to say.
Officer Emily paused, her tone becoming more sincere: "Our Chief of Public Security would like to invite the three of you to the bureau.
We have some questions that we would like to ask An Zhi... Perhaps she can provide us with some more crucial clues."
"Can."
Gu Changfeng calmly closed the real-time news interface on the terminal.

In the meeting room of the Halo Star Public Security Bureau, the atmosphere was so solemn that water could almost drip out.
Both sides of the long conference table were filled with senior officials from the Halo Star Security Bureau.
An Zhi was sitting next to them, also on a big chair. She lowered her head and drank warm water in small sips.
"Chief, officers."
The first to break the silence was senior police inspector Turner.
He adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, his eyes swept over Gu Changfeng and his son, and finally landed on Officer Emily, his tone filled with undisguised doubt:
“Emily, I must emphasize again that our sheriff’s department is based on evidence and logic.
This morning's coincidence certainly advanced the investigation, but to change the direction of our entire investigation and waste police resources on a child's so-called perception is absurd and an international joke!
Turner shook his head. Some people were really desperate and would try anything. In his opinion, it would be better to continue to check the port instead of having a meeting.
Now the starships waiting in line outside for takeoff are in a mess!
"Ridiculous? Inspector Turner!"
Young police officer Leah slammed the table, overcome with emotion.
"If it weren't for this 'absurd' perception you mentioned, those children would have been cold corpses by now!
Didn't you see what he looked like? Near death! Do you even know what 'near death' means?!
We cannot allow more children to be put in danger because of your stubbornness and prejudice!"
Inspector Turner snorted coldly, unmoved.
"Near death? Wasn't it because our police were swift and deployed in a timely manner? What can a child's vague dream really mean?
She said 'black box'—there are so many black suitcases! She said 'crying'—what child wouldn't cry when kidnapped? This is completely baseless and unfounded!
Are you telling me that from now on, our police department will have to rely on the wild imagination of a three-year-old to solve cases?!"
"What about the hotel case? Exact time, exact location, even down to the suitcases they carried!"
Leah's voice almost roared, "If this is all a coincidence, then Halo Star is too lucky!
Do we have to wait until something happens to the next child before we believe it?!"
Hearing this, the technical department member sitting opposite her couldn't help but spoke, and was interrupted by another person just as she was about to speak.
"We have our own investigative clues! We're conducting them simultaneously! Your random speculations are an insult to our professionalism!"
The commissioner of the investigation team couldn't help but slam the table, stood up, and raised his voice several degrees.
The conference room immediately exploded. The police officers who supported An Zhi flushed and accused Inspector Turner of indifference and stubbornness.
