Chapter 97

Chapter 97

"Take her down."

Padre had arrived at some point and was standing quietly at the door.

Gavin Gray, Americus, Yang Jingyu, and Padreid, four people of different heights stood at the door, forming a not-so-regular "wif" formation.

Aiden had already put down his hand that was covering An Zhi's eyes, and An Zhi carefully opened his eyes.

Having just emerged from the darkness, the light in the living room seemed a little dazzling.

An Zhi blinked subconsciously, trying to hold back the moisture that overflowed from the corners of her eyes.

When her vision gradually became clear, she saw Americus, who had disappeared for two days, standing at the door. An Zhi felt happy and wanted to call his name.

But soon, An Zhi remembered that His Majesty was still standing behind her, and she should not make loud noises.

The bouquet in his hand was gone, and An Zhi couldn't help but look back.

Aiden Esserland was looking at her too, holding her small, inconspicuous bouquet of flowers in her large hands.

Noticing An Zhi's gaze, Aiden gave her a relatively gentle expression.

He released his hand from An Zhi's shoulder and whispered, "Go."

His voice was much softer than before, as if he was soothing a frightened animal.

An Zhi turned his head and saw Mr. Padre standing at the door waiting for him with a smile.

The atmosphere in the reception room relaxed again, not as tense as when Secretary-General Gavin came over at the beginning.

An Zhi took two steps forward, and finally started running with his short legs.

Her fuzzy bunny slippers made a subtle scraping sound on the smooth marble floor.

During this time, Aiden Esseran's eyes followed her.

An Zhi hugged Padre's arm, causing some wrinkles on his black tuxedo.

Americus was standing a little way next to her, very close.

An Zhi finally couldn't help but whispered, "Amo."

The cub's voice was soft and a little coquettish.

The corners of Americus' mouth curved upwards, and he looked very happy.

He also reached out and patted An Zhi's head, "Come down quickly, dinner is ready."

An Zhi nodded. Padre had already taken her hand, but An Zhi was still reluctant to leave.

Amerys stood still, but leaned his head out and quietly said goodbye to An Zhi.

It’s like envying classmates who can leave the classroom early after school.

An Zhi looked at Americus's strange movements and wanted to laugh, but she held it back.

An Zhi stopped and glanced inside. Aiden Eslan had already picked up a document and was reading it, seemingly completely unaware of what was happening here.

It’s hard to describe the feeling. An Zhi shook his head, trying to stop himself from staring at what His Majesty was doing.

An Zhi looked at Ameris's face and said seriously, "I miss you so much, Amer."

"Could you please say hello to me before you go out next time?"

Americus's heart softened instantly. If he didn't have something else to discuss with Aiden, he would have wanted to go downstairs to have dinner with An Zhi and tell the child a hundred fairy tales he had learned recently.

"It's my fault. It's all my fault. I will tell you in advance next time."

Americus quickly promised to do the third round, leaving all his rage, his accusations, and his rebelliousness behind.

Aiden Eslan's eyes followed An Zhi's back until she completely disappeared at the end of the corridor. He slowly withdrew his gaze and turned his attention back to the work in his hands.

Gavin Gray was still standing there, waiting for his arrangements.

Aiden: "Prioritize the arrangements for the security team, medical team, and spiritual comfort team..."

"Guards?" Americus suddenly interrupted. "Isn't it a guard group organized for people of the same age? We all had it when we were kids."

Aiden ignored him and simply crossed out an option on the file board with a big red cross. He continued:

"foreign......"

"Don't let the news leak out for now."

This is what Aiden meant by not wanting to reveal An Zhi's identity and letting her live in secrecy in the palace.

Gavin Gray's heart sank, but he still bowed tactfully and prepared to pull Councillor Yang Jingyu away from the corner.

He pulled, but couldn't move it.

Yang Jingyu seemed to have roots under his feet and did not move.

Gavin frowned.

The atmosphere in the reception room became tense again after An Zhi left.

At this juncture, old man, please don't say anything you shouldn't say.

The next second, Secretary General Gavin couldn't leave even if he wanted to.

Americus, who was standing at the door, was smiling just now, but now his face was sullen, and he was obviously in a bad mood.

Americus just happened to block the poor Secretary General Gavin's way of getting away.

There were only two words left in Gavin Gray's mind: regret, deep regret.

The fox, who always acts calm and slippery in front of people, can only stand close to the wall, listening with his eyes watching his nose and his nose watching his heart.

What he did today was really against the rules. First, he didn't stop Lord A'mo, and second, after hastily confirming that there were many people in the reception room, he quickly shouted out his lines in the corridor, adding fuel to the fire.

But who made An Zhi so attractive?

Gavin Gray was thinking in his heart, what was the chance of success if he hurried home to move his old man to act as a shield for him as soon as he left the palace.

Just as he was lost in thought, Americus strode up to Aiden Esserlan.

"Why can't An Zhi's identity be made public? Are you going to send her out of the palace?"

Aiden's expression remained unchanged as he continued to flip through the documents in his hand, his tone calm:

"I won't leave any Estheran stranded."

Both of them knew very well how dangerous it would be for an out-of-control Eselan to be left on the loose.

No one can kill an Eselan except Eselan himself, and when that time comes, the suffering will never end unless another Eselan is there to put an end to it.

It is precisely because of this clarity that A'mo is so angry.

Aiden's behavior was like keeping an eagle in a cage without sunlight, and he couldn't accept it.

A'mo slammed the thing in his hand heavily on the document in front of Aiden, his voice trembling with anger.

"Then why can't she live in the sun as an Etherian?"

A'mo was holding a round disc in his hand.

Now the document was covered by the disc, and Aiden raised his head and looked at Americus, who did not speak.

The atmosphere was tense.

The two people standing in the corner were trying their best to reduce their presence.

Americus just now did not use any instrument to assist his voice.

I use my own natural voice.

Before this, many people thought that Lord Amer of the Guards could not speak.
