Fili's spear had already pierced the ogre's head. Facing the warlock's spell, a look of determination flashed across her face. She pulled out her spear and threw it hard at the warlock, then jumped in front of Angele, her two white wings of light wrapping her tightly.
boom!
The evil magic that locked onto Ange had arrived and collided with Fili's white wings of light. The evil magic disappeared, and Fili's wings of light shattered into a large number of fragments and disappeared. Fili was knocked back, and at this time the evil magic that locked onto Fili also flew over.
Under Angele's piercing gaze, the defenseless Fili's chest was blown into a cloud of blood mist by the fel magic. The white spear she threw nailed the orc warlock to the ground, and then the spear flashed a fierce light and exploded, and the warlock was blown into pieces.
Fili fell backwards to the ground, but she quickly propped herself up and crawled to Angele's side. The blood had drained from her face, and there was a large hole in her chest. Blood was gushing out desperately, and white spots of light were flying out along with the blood. Fili didn't care about her injuries at all, but walked to Angele and said softly:
"I'm sorry, dear, I'm late. It took me too long to calm the baby down."
Then Fili placed her hand on Angele's wound. As the golden light flashed, Angele's injury was immediately relieved a lot. Fili shuddered violently, her face turned paler, and more light spots flew out from the big hole in her chest.
"Felli, why did you block that spell for me? How are you? Are you okay?"
After Angele regained his mobility, he immediately sat up and tried to press Fili's wound with his clothes with trembling arms.
Fili gently pressed his hand and said softly, "It's useless, otherwise I would have treated myself long ago. My core is broken, and now I'm going to die."
After hearing her words, Angele couldn't hold back his tears any longer. This was the first time he had cried since he could remember. He still tried to press his clothes against her chest and choked, "How can you be useless? How can you die? I can't live without you, wuwu."
Fili reached out and gently stroked his face, whispering to him, "I don't have much time left. Stop crying, smile, and listen to me for a few words, okay?"
Angelet tried to hold back his tears and put on a smile, but as he looked at the woman who was becoming increasingly gloomy, he was so grief-stricken that he could not speak.
"Actually, I've long remembered who I am. Thank you for taking me away from Elonaya and giving me warmth and love."
"Only after meeting you did I realize that mortal life could be so happy."
"Don't be sad, live with the children, they are the continuation of my life."
More points of light flew out from Fili's broken chest, and she trembled violently again. Fili tried her best to put on a smile as usual, and then kissed Angele's forehead. Her lips were already cold.
"Goodbye, my dear Angele. For the past two years, you have been my...whole world."
Afterwards, Fili's body completely turned into nothingness and finally shattered. Countless white fragments separated from her and disappeared. Angele stared at that place for a long time. Fili had completely disappeared, and not even her body was left.
Angelet roared in pain and punched the ground again and again. Several deep pits appeared on the ground. His hands were bruised and bleeding, but he was completely unaware. Finally, the loud noise woke up his two sleeping daughters, and their crying woke him up.
He stumbled and picked up the little Paltress. Looking at the face that was somewhat similar to Fili, tears suddenly welled up again and dripped onto Paltress's face. He could no longer bear it and burst into tears.
The next day, there was no more unnecessary expression on Angelet's face. He carried a huge box filled with daily necessities on his back. Claudia was fixed on the top of the box, and Patrice was held in his arms. He took a last deep look at the land, and then walked north without looking back.
Many days later, Angele appeared alone at the foot of the city of Lordaeron, which was under martial law. His daughters had been properly placed in a safe place. A brother who had once followed Angele on his adventures and his woman were responsible for taking care of Angele's daughters.
A soldier led Angele to the command room where Lothar was. Outside the door, Angele met two acquaintances - Tyrosus and Grayson. The two showed surprise when they saw him, and then Tyrosus was knocked to the ground by Angele's heavy punch.
"Thanks to you, those brothers who have followed me for many years," Tyrosus tried to get up, but Angele punched Tyrosus in the face again, knocking him down again.
"They were all the bravest warriors, but in the end they all died because of your cowardice!" Angelet punched Tyrosus again and again. Tyrosus never argued or fought back, and his swollen face showed an expression of regret and relief.
Several guards saw this and tried to step forward to protect their officer, but were stopped by Grayson. He looked at the man with white hair with sympathy and said, "This is a personal grudge between the two of them. If there is any problem, I will put a stop to it."
Angelet quickly stood up and spat fiercely at Tyrosus, "Don't think I've forgiven you. Even until my death, I will never have anything to do with a fellow like you again!"
Grayson walked over and helped Tyrosus up. The latter looked badly beaten, but the injuries were all non-fatal. Holy light flashed in his hands and healed Tyrosus. He looked up at Angele and said, "You've changed a lot. You weren't so easy to talk to before."
Angele snorted coldly and went into the adjutant's room alone. Lothar looked much older than he had two years ago. The bald man's hair and beard were completely white, and his resolute face was full of vicissitudes. He looked at Angele's arrival and said:
"Don't hate Maxwell. He's not afraid of death. It's just that the situation at the time was forced upon him. Often, such decisions require even more courage."
Angele said bitterly, "Let's not talk about this, old man. I remember you said that you can be made a noble after killing enough orcs."
Lothar paid no attention to Angele's rudeness. Instead, a warm expression appeared on his weathered face. "Yes, but with your past achievements, you are now a knight. Do you still want to rejoin the team, Lieutenant Colonel?"
Angele's eyes suddenly sparkled. "Being a knight isn't enough. I want to be a baron, and my children must be barons too."
Lothar laughed. "Welcome back, Lieutenant Colonel. You will be a Baron."
