"See, this is my secret." Jaina winked at Claudia and smiled happily.
Claudia smiled bitterly and shook her head. It seemed that she couldn't hide anything she was thinking from the other party.
But now that it had been exposed, she would no longer hide it from Jaina.
During the following time in Karazhan, Claudia took a book on necromancy from the Karazhan collection and sat side by side with Jaina to read it. In addition to reading the book herself, Jaina was also responsible for answering Claudia's questions and explaining other mages' understanding of death.
Claudia did not expect to learn these things in the short term. Even with the reference of the laws in the Helmet of Domination, it would take her a long time to learn the Law of Death. She was just enjoying the learning process.
The same went for Jaina. The two girls sat side by side and even forgot about meal time because they were so engrossed in studying together.
They didn't realize this until the old butler Moros came to remind them.
"Claudia, what would you like to eat? How about shrimp with almond flakes?"
"I know you like almonds, but don't eat them now. It's not good for your health---"
Claudia smiled and scratched Jaina's snow-white cheek with her index finger. The beautiful archmage allowed her to do what she wanted and said with a smile, "What are you afraid of? With you inside me, the—"
A low rumbling sound interrupted Jaina's words. The two girls' faces changed at the same time. They felt the floor beneath their feet vibrate slightly, as if they were on a bumpy deck. This foreshadowed something to come -
Big earthquake.
Another voice came from above. Claudia looked up and saw hundreds of books in the library swaying and slowly sliding out of the shelves.
Gianna and Claudia reacted almost simultaneously.
Jaina chanted a spell, and with the flash of magic waves, her books and bookshelves in the library immediately seemed to be glued together and stopped shaking. Now her precious books would not be damaged.
Claudia moved as fast as lightning. She immediately stood up and protected Jaina in her arms with her wings and arms.
After noticing that the book would not fall, Claudia breathed a sigh of relief. She closed her eyes and began to release all her mental power to scan it.
Her mental power swept from Deadwind Path to Elwynn Forest, Westfall, the entire Eastern Kingdoms, and then to the entire Azeroth. Her expression became increasingly ugly. She clenched her fists, and murderous intent and anger naturally flowed out.
"You'll scare us." Jaina's gentle voice sounded in her ear.
"I'm sorry," Claudia apologized quickly, trying to control her emotions.
After the earthquake stopped, she helped Jaina up, and Jaina asked:
"Judging from your expression, it must not have been just an earthquake, right?"
"That's right."
Claudia suppressed her anger and recalled the scene just now. Not only Deadwind Path, but the entire Azeroth was affected by the earthquake and tsunami. Large areas of land underwent drastic changes in the earthquake and tsunami.
Just from what Claudia had just seen, a huge pit collapsed in the Western Wilds, the stone dam in Loch Modan was collapsed, Booty Bay and Gilneas were washed away by tsunamis, the Barrens and Stranglethorn Vale were each torn in half by a crack that appeared in the middle, most of the Thousand Bellsstone in Tanaris was submerged by sea water, and several huge cracks were also shaken out of the Dark Coast.
I don't know how many lives will die in this disaster.
"What's going on in Theramore?" Jaina asked nervously.
Claudia projected her spirit into the port city, and her voice rang out:
"It's a miracle that Theramore was not affected at all. Even the road from Theramore Island to Dustwallow Marsh didn't collapse at all."
Jaina felt relieved, but she soon saw Claudia's eyes widened and she fell into a rage again.
"Sorry, Jaina, I have to excuse myself for a moment."
After she finished speaking, Claudia was about to walk out, but she was stopped by Jaina with open arms.
"What happened?" Jaina asked.
Claudia's face showed some hesitation, but more of anxiety. She begged, "Jaina, this is urgent. I---"
"what happens?"
Jaina asked again, her eyes full of insistence.
In desperation, Claudia said briefly and quickly, "Deathwing is wreaking havoc in Stormwind City. I have to stop his violence---."
"You can't go," Jaina grabbed Claudia. She understood her anxiety, but her tone remained unmoved. "Deathwing did this in the hope of luring you there. You can't fall into their trap."
“But, but—”
"Let Varian go." Jaina gave an answer. "Don't forget what I told you today. You don't have to take everything on yourself."
"Okay." Claudia sighed. She could only contact Varian through the mental network.
