Chapter 3 Knowing the Truth

Her eyes widened, her face filled with fear and despair as she muttered to herself, "God King Qianye, if that's the case, could it be that Xingyue has long mistakenly believed herself to be the Goddess of Darkness, and is actually completely mistaken?"

Seeing Xingyue like this, Qianye felt a pang of pain in his heart. He quickly reached out and took Xingyue's hand, comforting her softly, "Xingyue, don't panic. Whether you are the Goddess of Light or the Goddess of Darkness, in my eyes, you will always be my beloved wife. This will never change."

Xingyue slowly released Qianye's hand, which was tightly gripping her. Her originally pretty face now became slightly gloomy, with a hint of doubt and dissatisfaction in her eyes.

She whispered, "God King Qianye, what is the connection between Xingyue and God King Dongming? Is it true, as God King Dongming said, that he was bewitched by you and mistakenly drank the Love Potion, thus forgetting everything about God King Dongming and the Temple of Light?"

When Xingyue spoke these words, Qianye's eyes suddenly turned icy cold, as if a bone-chilling chill was gushing out of them. At the same time, a thick dark aura emanated from his body, spreading rapidly like billowing black smoke.

Qianye responded with obvious displeasure, "A year ago, you were tragically severely injured by the Demon King. When your life was on the verge of death, it was I who lent a helping hand and saved your life. You must know that I am an enlightened and righteous deity. How could I do such a despicable and shameless thing, taking advantage of someone's misfortune?"

Qianye then continued to explain, "As for why you lost some of your memories, it's entirely due to the vicious magic cast by the Demon King. However, the Demon King's magic is extremely strange and tricky, and there are only a few people in the world who can break it. Currently, it seems that only the Lord of the Demon Realm—the Second Luo—may possess such ability."

"But the problem is, Second Luo is incredibly shrewd and never easily yields. If you want him to help you and gain even a little benefit from him, you'll probably have to pay a heavy price. You might even suffer significant damage and endure hardships before you can achieve your goal."

Having said this, Qianye paused slightly, as if gathering his thoughts, before continuing, "Rather than making a deal with the Demon Lord, I let you drink the Love Potion simply to spare you the pain of your confused memories. As for forgetting your feelings while still loving them, that's just a negligible side effect."

"Negligible side effects?" Xingyue covered her chest and looked at Qianye with a hurt expression. "So, between the Eastern Nether God King and Xingyue..."

"It has nothing to do with anything!" Before Xingyue could continue, Qianye interrupted her coldly.

Qianye gently lifted Xingyue's chin and said in a cold tone, "Xingyue, no matter who you were in the past, the moment you stepped into the Dark Temple, you drew a clear line with the past. Now, you are the goddess of the Dark Temple and my fiancée. You have no connection with the Light Temple anymore!"

"God King Qianye, please forgive me, Xingyue, for not being able to obey your command!"

On Xingyue's beautiful face, a pair of eyes as bright as stars stared unwaveringly at Qianye's unfathomable and majestic eyes, without the slightest fear or intention of retreating.

She used all her strength to push away Qianye's big hand that was tightly pinching her chin, as if trying to break free from some invisible shackles.

Immediately afterwards, Xingyue turned around and left resolutely, with steady and powerful steps. Every step was filled with determination and perseverance, like an arrow shot from a bow, rushing towards the distant horizon.

"Stars and Moon!"

Qianye watched Xingyue's resentful figure walk away, and a sudden surge of shock washed over him. His eyes, usually as cold and ruthless as a deep, quiet well, now glowed with a piercing scarlet light.

"Dongming, Dongming, why is it always Dongming!"

Qianye gritted his teeth, clenching his fists. His nails dug deep into his palms, blood trickling down his fingers. His eyes burned with a raging fire, a rage that seemed to devour everything in the world. He exuded boundless resentment and unwillingness, as if he wanted to set the entire universe ablaze.

After leaving the Dark Temple, Xingyue felt incredibly heavy and complicated. Deep within, she felt as if she were being torn between two forces, leaving her feeling immensely painful and conflicted. On the one hand, she felt an inexplicable attachment to Dongming; on the other, she couldn't quite place her feelings for him. This tangle tormented her, leaving her almost breathless.

Despite the turbulent waves in her heart, Xingyue still tried her best to suppress the impulse that surged into her heart like a tide and almost drowned her - she immediately flew to the Temple of Light and found Dongming.

After a long and painful ideological struggle, Xingyue finally made a difficult decision: first go to the Demon Realm to look for the second Luo.

Because at this moment, she has lost a crucial part of her memory, like a lonely boat lost in the vast fog, completely unsure how to face this complex emotional entanglement. Only by recovering all the lost fragments of memory can she dispel the fog and gain insight into her truest desires.

However, the Demon Realm has been isolated since ancient times, never interacting with the outside world, always shrouded in a thick veil of mystery, which inspires awe in people. Since the time of Pangu, no outsider has been able to accurately determine the Demon Realm's location.

There is no doubt that this reality is like a towering peak standing in front of the stars and the moon, creating an insurmountable obstacle in her search for people.
