Chapter 10 I Helped My Brother

Chapter 10 I Helped My Brother

The car was parked in front of the Western restaurant.

Lou Hongjian carried his younger sister out of the car and closed the door behind him.

Mao Mao rarely goes out, but now, holding onto his shoulder, she turned her head left and right, her bright black eyes curiously looking around, finding everything new and exciting. Before she could even get her fill of looking around, she was carried into a Western restaurant.

The Western restaurant was a novel world she had never seen before.

Each table was covered with a beautiful tablecloth, upon which were placed vases and candles. The vibrant roses were delicate and exuded a faint fragrance, while the crystal chandelier overhead shone with dazzling light.

Lou Hongjian gentlemanly pulled out a chair for her: "Please sit down, little princess."

Mao Mao stood on tiptoe, looked at the tall chair, and stretched out her little hand to him: "Brother, hug me."

Lou Hongjian smiled, lifted her to a seat, and then unfolded and laid out a napkin for her.

He skillfully ordered the food from the waiter, and of course, he didn't forget the cream cake his sister wanted.

The cream cake that Mao Mao had been longing for was the first to be served, placed on a clean white round plate. At the bottom was a yellow cake base, covered with snow-white and fluffy cream, topped with a strawberry, and sandwiched with jam filling.

As soon as the cream cake was placed in front of her, an enticing, faintly sweet aroma wafted out, almost stealing Mao Mao's soul.

She clumsily picked up the fork, and seeing this, Lou Hongjian proactively picked up the cake and forked a large piece for her: "Ah—"

Mao Mao gulped it down in one big bite.

The soft cream filled her mouth, and she happily tilted her little face up.

How can there be such delicious food in the world!

Mao Mao really loves this food called cake!

"Is it tasty?"

"tasty!"

Lou Hongjian smiled and said, "If you like it, I'll bring you here to eat again often, okay?"

Overjoyed, Mao Mao asked in her sweet little voice, "Can I have some more?"

"Of course I can." Lou Hongjian revealed his purpose: "My brother is good to you, would you like to help him?"

"help?"

Mao Mao was puzzled: "What help do I need?"

"Do you remember a few days ago, you helped your brother choose horse number 3?" Lou Hongjian said. "You helped your brother make a lot of money."

Mao Mao had long forgotten about this incident; her chubby little face showed only confusion.

Lou Hongjian asked, "Can you continue to help my brother? I'll stop once we've raised enough money for the investment."

Mao Mao tilted her head: "Help my brother?"

Lou Hongjian: "That's right!"

“Okay!” Mao Mao said happily, “I’ll help my brother.”

Lou Hongjian's smile instantly became incredibly bright.

He was handsome, elegant in his white suit, and his charming smile, illuminated by the dazzling lights of the crystal chandelier, was captivating. No girl could resist such a handsome man gazing at her with such deep affection and tenderness.

However, today, this tenderness belongs solely to his little sister.

Lou Hongjian picked up another small piece of cake and gently fed it to her.

After they finished the cake, the waiter brought out the steak. He gentlemanly cut the steak into small pieces, and as usual, fed the first piece to his sister.

First, eat cake, then steak, then a sip of salad, paired with freshly squeezed orange juice.

Before long, Mao Mao's belly was round and full. She patted her round little belly and shook her head at the fork handed to her: "That's enough, brother, Mao Mao is full."

Lou Hongjian then ate the beef on his fork himself.

"Third Young Master?"

Someone came over to say hello.

Lou Hongjian looked up and was surprised to see it was Young Master Feng.

Young Master Feng is also here for dinner today. He put his arm around his female companion's waist and said, "I didn't expect to run into Third Young Master here. What a coincidence. This is..."

His gaze fell on Mao Mao. Mao Mao also looked up at him.

I've seen the Third Young Master Lou go out with singers and movie stars, but this is the first time I've seen him go out with a little baby.

Lou Hongjian introduced, "This is my younger sister."

"A younger sister?" Young Master Feng was a little surprised. "I've never heard of a young lady in the Marshal's mansion?"

Lou Hongjian said, "She's my new younger sister, she just arrived recently."

Recognizing that the woman beside Young Master Feng was a dancer at a nightclub, Lou Hongjian didn't want to talk to him for the first time, fearing that he would offend his sister's eyes.

He started to shoo people away: "Young Master Feng, there are empty seats over there, please go over there."

Young Master Feng, being sensible, put his arm around his female companion and headed to the other seats.

Before leaving, he added, "Third Young Master, I've already chosen a location for my factory."

"I know, I'll come find you once I've raised enough money."

Young Master Feng laughed: "Third Young Master just won so much money, and you still need to raise more?"

Lou Hongjian: "Don't worry, I won't delay your business."

Young Master Feng: "Of course I trust Third Young Master to handle things. Third Young Master is so lucky, I'd like to bask in your good fortune. We business people like to associate with lucky people."

Lou Hongjian thought to himself: He's not the lucky one.

He only looked away when he saw Mr. Feng and his female companion sitting down in a seat not far away.

Remembering how Young Master Feng had praised his good luck, Lou Hongjian looked at Mao Mao sitting opposite him. The little girl was holding a glass of orange juice, sucking on a straw, her chubby cheeks twitching as she drank very seriously.

"Mao Mao, that was your brother's friend, what do you think?"

"Mao Mao doesn't like him."

Why don't you like it?

“He’s not good-looking,” Mao Mao said in her childish voice. “Brother is good-looking, I like brother.”

Lou Hongjian immediately beamed with joy: "Brother is handsome? You have excellent taste! Our Mao Mao is beautiful too, she looks like my own sister."

He called the waiter over and gave Mao Mao an extra scoop of ice cream.

After finishing their meal, Lou Hongjian took the packed cake to pay the bill, only to be told that it had already been paid.

He turned back to look into the restaurant, where, in the distance, Young Master Feng raised his glass to him.

Lou Hongjian nodded to him before carrying his sister away from the restaurant.

Lou Hongjian had only met this Mr. Feng not long ago.

Once, while listening to music at a nightclub and spending money on his favorite singer, a man suddenly appeared and competed with him, spending just as lavishly. Later, through a dancer's introduction, he learned that the man competing with him in spending money was none other than this young master Feng.

Young Master Feng is from the Feng family of Lingcheng.

Although Lingcheng was far away, the Feng family, a prominent merchant family, was renowned far and wide. This young master Feng was generous and quite adept at entertainment. Later, Lou Hongjian met him several more times, and they became friends.

Young Master Feng came to Haicheng to expand his business; he plans to invest in and build a large factory there.

Lou Hongjian knew absolutely nothing about business. He had studied art abroad and hadn't pursued an economics degree. But the Feng family were wealthy merchants and clearly very adept at business.

Young Master Feng asked him if he wanted to invest in his business. Lou Hongjian had heard about his business plan, read the proposal, and even visited the factory with him, and felt it was very feasible.

If he invests in Mr. Feng's business, once the factory is up and running, he can sit back and collect dividends without having to find a job or work an office.

However, he is still short of 200,000.
