"Mr. Fu, Miss Song wishes to see you."
Fu Zelian was talking to a few people when he was suddenly interrupted by his assistant.
He looked down at the documents in his hand, his expression serious. "I don't have time."
"But Miss Song is already outside the door, saying she insists on seeing you, otherwise she won't leave."
He looked up, impatience flashing in his eyes, and then told the others to leave first.
Song Wan walked in and sat down in front of him as if they were old friends.
"Mr. Fu, what a coincidence! You're resting here today too."
Fu Zelian seemed uninterested in paying attention, still busy looking at documents, his eyes only on his work.
Song Wan didn't feel embarrassed by being ignored. Instead, she got up and came to his side, putting her hand on his shoulder. "What are you looking at? Let me see. Maybe there's something I can help with?"
Just then, Ye Shi was about to come in carrying a thermos when she inadvertently witnessed this scene.
The man and woman sat intimately together, mainly because Fu Zelian didn't push her away.
Neither of them noticed her sudden appearance; Song Wan continued to verbally provoke Fu Zelian.
Ye Shi silently turned and walked away.
Fu Zelian was looking at the difficulties of a project and was thinking seriously when he realized that Song Wan was already very close to him.
"Miss Song, please have some self-respect."
He got up and sat down to the side, creating distance between himself and her.
Song Wan's hand paused in mid-air, then she smiled and said, "President Fu, what's so interesting about this document? Why don't you chat with me?"
"If you don't have anything important to do, please leave."
"Isn't spending time with you the important thing? What man would think a woman is superfluous?"
She got up and tried to stick close to him again.
Fu Zelian raised his head and said coldly, "Someone, show the guests out!"
His bodyguard came in and gestured for Song Wan to leave, saying, "Please leave."
Seeing this, Song Wan could only leave first. It was enough to stop there; she had plenty of time anyway.
After leaving the room, she saw a thermos flask by the door, indicating that someone had just been there.
Her eyes flickered slightly, and she felt quite smug as she thought of how Ye Shi came over and bumped into her but didn't dare to disturb her.
Even though I couldn't seduce that aloof CEO Fu, it was worth it to make Ye Shi unhappy.
Moreover, Ye Shi is on good terms with Su Li, so it's no wonder she's having a bad time.
Ye Shi sat in the hotel restaurant, staring blankly at the tea on the table, her mind filled with the scene she had just witnessed.
But reason told her that Fu Zelian shouldn't be that kind of person.
She patted her head and said, "Forget it. Whether he cheated on me or not, I'll just live my own life."
The more I try to comfort myself, the more uncomfortable I feel.
She called Su Li, but it took a while before she answered.
"Ye Shi, what's wrong?" Su Li seemed to have just woken up.
"No, I just wanted to ask if you're busy."
"It's alright, I have to go see a client this afternoon."
"Oh, I see. You go ahead and get busy."
Ye Shi hung up the phone and took a deep breath.
Su Li was still a little sleepy, so she took a short nap.
Quan Ye rolled over and hugged her, asking, "Whose call was that just now?"
She snuggled closer to him, like a lazy kitten, and said, "Ye Shi's on the phone."
"What does she want from you?"
"No, just chatting for a bit."
He patted her bottom, "Little sleepyhead, wake up, we're going to see Old Tang later."
"Okay."
Su Li lingered in bed for a while longer before slowly getting up to wash and change her clothes.
She's probably getting ready for the changing seasons, because she always feels like she's not getting enough sleep and is tired all the time.
I took Quan Ye a nap today, and three hours passed in a flash.
