When Quan Ye brought Su Li to the hospital to visit Old Tang, he had already been discharged.
The two, having come up empty-handed, had no choice but to go check on Zhou Kai first.
Although Zhou Kai has woken up, he is mentally confused and often talks nonsense.
Just as Su Li was about to enter, a water glass flew over and shattered on the ground.
The young nurse rushed over, bowing and scraping, and said, "I'm so sorry, Ms. Su, the patient's mood suddenly changed and he got angry. Did he hurt you?"
"fine."
Su Li glanced at Zhou Kai inside the room, then went in.
Just a second ago, Zhou Kai was arrogant, threatening to beat up the nurse, but when he saw her arrive, he immediately cowered back to the bed, looking mysterious.
He glanced behind her and saw that Quan Ye hadn't followed him in, so he relaxed a little.
"You brat, you finally decided to come see your uncle! You left me all alone here, don't you have any conscience? I guess we've wasted our time raising you, you little slut..."
Zhou Kai cursed and swore a bunch of nasty things.
Have you said enough?
No one can stand Zhou Kai's current crazy state.
If it weren't for Quan Ye paying his exorbitant medical and treatment fees, and the hospital staff taking good care of him out of respect for Quan Ye, he would have been thrown out long ago.
Su Li stared at him coldly and said, "If you continue to cause trouble and disobey orders here, I don't mind letting them whip you until you obey!"
"This is abuse, I can sue you."
He was still relatively clear-headed and knew that he could sue.
She stepped forward, grabbed his collar with one hand, and lifted him up. "Zhou Kai, I've been more than kind to you. I could tolerate your grandmother and mother being bullied by you and your beastly father before, but now you think you can climb over me? No way! You better behave yourself, and you'll have a peaceful life from now on, otherwise..."
Su Li's eyes turned cold, and she pushed him away, saying, "You can imagine the consequences."
Zhou Kai huddled under the covers, trembling, muttering, "Your parents' deaths weren't accidents, your parents' deaths weren't accidents..."
Although Su Li couldn't hear clearly, she vaguely understood what he meant, and she went forward and pulled him up.
What are you saying?
"Your parents' deaths were not an accident..."
What does that mean?
Quan Ye pushed open the door and walked in from outside.
When Zhou Kai saw that he had become agitated, he yanked Su Li's hand away and pointed at Quan Ye, saying, "He is the murderer, the murderer."
Su Li frowned, looking at her like a madwoman, "What nonsense are you spouting?"
Quan Ye said coldly, "He's not even in his right mind right now, so there's no need to pay him any attention. He's already spilled everything, so he's of no value to us. We can deal with him anytime we want."
Upon hearing this, Zhou Kai muttered even more incessantly.
The ward was so noisy; he was acting like a madman.
Quan Ye helped Su Li out.
"He's insane, saying my parents' deaths weren't an accident."
"I'll have the doctor come over to examine him later. I suspect he's been undergoing too much treatment lately and his mental state is unstable."
After they came out, Quan Ye gave Zhang Quan a wink.
Zhang Quan understood, went inside, and closed the door.
After a while, Zhou Kai's wailing voice could be heard from inside.
"What's going on?" Su Li thought Zhou Kai was causing trouble again and wanted to go back to check.
Quan Ye put his arm around her and walked out. "It's nothing, he just had an episode. Let's go."
Anyone who dares to speak disrespectfully to his woman, or even to spout nonsense, will have to bear the consequences.
