Su Li walked over and opened the door a crack. "I just got up. Is there something you need?"
The maid said respectfully, "The old gentleman wants you to come down for breakfast. Mr. Song is also here."
"knew."
Su Li closed the door and turned around to see that the man on the bed had woken up.
Quan Ye asked with a stern face, "Why does Song Qinze keep coming here? Doesn't he have a home of his own?"
“He said he had a good relationship with my maternal grandfather, and my maternal grandfather also liked to play chess with him.”
"I think he has ill intentions and is a wolf in sheep's clothing."
Quan Ye got up and dressed. "I'll go downstairs and meet him."
Su Li exclaimed in alarm, "You can't go down now! If my grandfather finds out you stayed here last night, we'll be in big trouble!"
"So what? We're a couple, and your grandfather knows we're close."
"No, no, don't go down yet, I'm afraid it will frighten Grandpa."
Seeing the panic on her face, Quan Ye thought for a moment and nodded, "Okay, then I'll be going now."
She breathed a sigh of relief.
He turned and walked towards the balcony.
What are you going to do?
"I'm going back."
He was agile enough to flip down the railing, land safely, and then leave.
Su Li was furious when she saw the man leave without even turning his head. He really came here to sleep, and then he'd just leave.
"Hmph, just like a man!"
After washing up, Su Li went downstairs and felt an eerie atmosphere coming from the living room.
She saw the person who had just left her room sitting there, impeccably dressed.
Quan Ye changed his clothes, washed up, and dressed up, looking extremely handsome.
Su Li thought to herself, "He's pretty quick; he got me all sorted out in no time."
Seeing her come down, he feigned surprise and said, "You're awake? You got up quite early today."
Song Qinze's gaze lingered between the two of them, but he remained silent.
"Grandpa." Su Li greeted Grandpa Tang, then sat down next to Quan Ye.
Old Tang said, "You are so thoughtful to come and see this old man so early."
Song Qinze: "That's for sure, you are a distinguished guest whom I specially invited."
"Yeah, back then you would visit several times a month. I told you I didn't want to see you anymore, but you insisted. You wouldn't leave even when it was raining or thundering. I was really touched by your sincerity."
"Because you are worth it for me to do this."
Quan Ye listened to their "sentimental" words, a disdainful smile playing on his lips. He rested one arm on the back of Su Li's chair, his posture elegant.
Su Li interrupted them at the right moment, "Grandpa, I'd like to go to Chen's Enterprises later."
The predecessor of Chen's Enterprises was Su's. When Su's went bankrupt and its funds collapsed, Chen's took over Su's and spent a lot of money to transform the entire Su's, replacing the founder and board of directors.
Old Tang knew what she wanted to do, and said tactfully, "Several years have passed, and there is very little information about the Su family back then. Why do you need to dig up these past events?"
"I still want to go and see."
"Fine, go if you want."
Old Tang got up and asked Song Qinze to play chess with him.
Song Qinze glanced at Quan Ye, then got up and walked away.
Quan Ye leaned close to her ear and said, "Whether you can get your grandfather to treat me better depends on you finding out the truth. How confident are you?"
"Three points."
"So little?"
Su Li: "President Quan, I'm doing all this for you. Don't act like you're an outsider."
"This isn't the first time I've felt your concern for me. I'll let you do it."
"Hmph, you should just be happy about it."
