"Did you have fun?" Matthew whispered.
"Fun?" she chuckled as she watched Marlena disappear into the dark. "I have no idea what you are talking about." Before Matthew could answer her, she added "You know what? We should do this type of thing again."
"Like... fishing?"
"No. A date."
"Oh?"
"What?" Ava chuckled. "Am I the only one assuming this is a date?"
"Hey.... How about we do this every day?"
"What?"
"You know... if you decide to marry me."
"Are you proposing right now?"
"No. Not without a ring."
Ava chuckled. She snatched the beer from Matthew’s hand and took a sip.
"I honestly didn’t see you as the jealous type." Matthew said.
"Jealous? Pfft... I don’t get jealous." No. She didn’t. Of course, she didn’t.
"So... you just thought it would be nice to— "
"I don’t like it when people stare. That’s all."
"I don’t like it when people stare too... but I don’t get snippy about it."
"And why is that?" she turned away from the fire and stare at him, her lips just a few inches away from his. Their faces were already close as they had been whispering since earlier.
"If I kill everyone who stare at me I would have a long list of victims by now." His lips lifted into a smirk.
"Is this your way of saying you are good looking?" she chuckled.
"Partly. But we already know that... don’t we?"
Ava chuckled.
"I mean... there is no harm in stating facts?" he added.
"Right. It’s not like..." her eyes stared into his silver gray ones then travelled down to his tall nose and luscious lips. "Its not like we can hide your face." Her eyes sprang back to his. "Right?"
He tilted his head in response, his lips brushed against hers. "Right."
Blood rushed through her body. "You wanna get out of here?"
"I’ve been wanting to... for hours now." Matthew said. Her jaw dropped when she saw his eyes burning with lust. She swallowed the non-existent air in her throat. Matthew’s eyes followed the movement and looked down at where her skin vanished under the neckline of the sweater she had borrowed from him earlier. She was wearing nothing below it except for her bikini top from the daytime.
Then, Matthew bent forward and whispered, "I think that’s enough fun for today."
"Magick’s always fun... when I’m with you." The confession surprised her. But before she could try to add more words, he was already pulling her up.
"We are taking a short walk." Matthew said.
"Dinner’s almost ready..." Cal said.
"We’ll be quick." Matthew answered, this time, he ignored everyone and led Ava away from the group.
"Where are we going?" Ava asked. The cabin was miles away from here.
Matthew didn’t respond. Instead, he hastened his steps.
"Matthew?"
A shriek escaped her lips when Mathhew suddenly threw her over his shoulder.
"Matthew! What-"
She felt him move faster, his movements almost felt like a blur.
Then she remembered something.
On their way here, she saw a little booth not far away from the port.
It was small, barely enough for two people, add that in with someone of Matthew’s size, the place was basically cramped.
As soon as she felt her feet meet the ground, she heard the lock on the door fall in the place and suddenly her surroundings seemed too quiet. She looked at Matthew, and was about to berate him for his childish behaviour but before she could do so, his lips crashed onto hers. Her gasp was loudly audible in the quiet. Matthew’s pace was ravaging, and hurried.As if he had been holding back all day.
She opened her lips and Matthew plunged his tongue inside without wasting another second. Then she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer.
She felt his hands roam down on her body until they reached the hem of her sweater. He tugged at it, motioning for her to help him remove it. And she complied. Matthew threw the sweater somewhere, before discarding his shirt and combat pants.
"All day." he whispered. "I wanted you all day, all to myself."
Oh... she knew. She could feel him tense around other people. She felt him getting irritated when she said she wanted to partake in the competition. But he did nothing. He wanted her to have fun. And he would rather control himself than spoil her fun.
His burning gaze and his touch was enough to inform her how frustrated her was while watching her top less at the boat earlier. Of course, he didn’t do anything as he knew people were watching.
Ava smirked in response. "You could have said something... Matthew." she loved the sound of his name rolling on her tongue. "I would have done something about it."
Was she teasing him?
No. Definitely not.
But did she like his reaction when she removed her bra for her little... sunbathing?
Oh, yes! Definitely yes.
She waited for him to pounce on her and was honestly surprised to know how controlled he was. Of course, a part of her thought that he did it for her. He just wanted her to have fun.
"Do you know what happens to a woman who likes teasing her man?" he asked, his voice breathless.
"Tell me."
"She gets fucked. Hard."
"Then what are you waiting for?"
Almost immediately, he dipped down and nipped at her neck, a moan escaped her. Fueled by lust, frustration and the sensual noises she was making, Matthew collared her throat with his palm and tilted her head back, roughly kissing her in a punishing stance.
It felt like a gush of wind, when Ava was suddenly turned, her bikini clad breasts pressed against the wall. Matthew’s hot breath ran down on the back of her neck as he took in her smell, running his nose down the nape of her neck to her shoulder blades.
She took deep breaths trying to stabilize her breathing inside the small space. She felt herself breathing the same air Matthew was exhaling and it awoke something deep inside her core. An urge to possess. To own him.
And suddenly why she had been reacting the way she did all day was very clear to her.
