Ava felt like her body was about to be broken into small little pieces. Her thighs hurt, and her legs would shake every time she started walking. Her limbs felt like they just had some exercise for the whole night. It felt like someone burned them!
She sighed as she stared at her reflection.
She wasn’t complaining because of the pain. She was complaining because of the bruises that covered most of her body.
Her neck was filled with them, her shoulders and chest, her stomach, thighs, and the inner part of her legs.
What the hell just happened?
Again, she tried to use a healing spell to relieve herself from the uncomfortable sensation. To no avail.
Why?
Why isn’t it working?
She used magick to completely erase the bruises but again, it wasn’t working.
What the hell is going on? She complained inwardly.
She had been standing in the mirror for hours! Hoping that her magick!
It wasn’t!
In fact, she felt the magick in her body had dried up. It felt like... Matthew had sucked her magick. Was that even possible?
Was it because they had missed each other so much?
Perhaps.
Perhaps not.
She let out a sigh and found a comfortable dress that covered her whole body. Longsleeve, ankle long, turtle neck. Then she went back to the bed, ignoring the ominous feeling in the pit of her stomach.
She wondered where Matthew went after hours of pleasure. Then she closed her eyes. She had no energy to even think about it.

The Lycan Court
The Lycan Court was made for the Lycan King and the Council which was usually composed of the head of the noble Lycan Family. The council is considered the strongest Lycan force that deals with affairs outside of the Kingdom.
For instance, everything that involves the outside world needed to be approved by a majority of the twelve people that composed the council. Moreover, these twelve Lycans also have connections and influence outside of this Kingdom.
They own businesses and make deals with politicians and businessmen to help protect the secret of their race.
The Lycan Council also had connections with Trillium and the Keepers. They are considered a very influential force not just inside the Lycan Kingdom but also in the outside world.
But the force that many people fear is currently experiencing a very huge problem.
They couldn’t decide on something very important.
Who is going to be the next Lycan King?
Matthew had a slight smile on his face as he listened to the old men arguing in front of him. He rested his elbows on the arm of the luxurious chair that was only reserved for the Royal Family who had permission to join the court.
Currently, there are only four chairs like this inside the court. One for Matthew. One for Drigo. One for the current King and one for the current Queen.
"With all due respect your majesty, his highness Matthew had no experience in managing the Kingdom. He didn’t even live here. He grew up somewhere else with that witch. Look at how he disrespected the court? Many of you are aware that last night, he dared to spend the night with a witch! That is a blatant disrespect of the rules that we have!" Duke de Jumio uttered. This man wasn’t really a Duke. But people call him Duke because of his vast influence outside of this Kingdom.
"We wanted someone who had the best bloodline for the future generation," Another member of the council spoke. In the outside world, everyone called him Mr. Lee. But inside this Kingdom, he was known as the representative of the de Lee Family. "If we chose someone weak now, this would set a precedent for the upcoming King. And if this goes on, we would surely lose our Lycan bloodline in the next coming years. I don’t agree with what Duke de Jumio said. However, I would like to raise my concern about the King’s rules of killing each other’s siblings to test each other’s strength! With our dwindling numbers, that rule shouldn’t be applied anymore!"
"I agree!" the representative from Japan Mr. de Katakage spoke. "The council is already in charge of most affairs outside of this Kingdom. What we need is someone with a stronger bloodline to ensure that we will have stronger Lycans ten, twenty, or even a hundred years from now!"
"But his highness Matthew refused to marry someone!" Someone from the de Cene family said. "He refused to marry anyone and would rather enjoy his night with a witch!" Mr. De Cene glared at Matthew. "A witch! His Highness Matthew insulted our family by choosing a witch over our daughters!"
"The only reason why you are offended is that your daughter wanted to become his concubine. If we decide to use our own selfish ways, then we would end up in a war. We need to decide for the future generation!"
"How could you even think about the future generation when his highness Matthew refused to create his own children?"
"Who told you that I refuse to create children?" Matthew suddenly asked. Almost immediately, the people that sat around the large wooden table stared at him. "I love making those little things. I just thought no one else is worthy to enjoy such activity with me."
"No one... Are you saying that only your witch is worthy to be with you!?" Mr. De Cene asked.
"But of course. If she’s not worthy then... no one else is." Matthew’s answer was too quick and direct it silenced everyone. How could a Lycan Prince say something so preposterous in front of the whole court?
"Matthew this isn’t the place to say such things. We are here to talk about the future of the Lycans." Queen Luna immediately said. "And that future needed someone who knows their responsibility to the whole race."
"Of course," Matthew answered without hiding the sarcasm in his voice.
"You even lack the basic respect for Queen Luna?"
"Should I respect someone who had been wanting to see me dead?" Matthew fired back without holding back. "Do I look like a saint to you... Mr. De Cene?"
