South Pole
"I have seen that woman before!" Aliah paced inside her office. It was her first time seeing Ava yet for some reason, it was as if she had some sort of connection to the woman. She felt the same connection that she had with her son, Nero.
"How is that possible?" she muttered.
How could a human— a witch at that have her blood?
In fact, Aliah was there to kill Ava. Yes. She was to capture Ava and make her suffer until her death. She could easily do that. Not one person in this world was more powerful than her. But she couldn’t.
How could she hurt someone who had the same smell as her son?
Aliah bit her lower lip. This is impossible.
"Madame..."
The voice of her assistant interrupted her stupor. She frowned and looked at the man.
"What is it?"
"We have already released the other ten hybrids all over the US and another five in Europe. All we need to do is wait for the chaos to start."
Aliah gave an absentminded nod. Yes. She should just stop thinking about Ava and focus on her plan. Sacrifices. Yes. She needed more and more people to die for her cause.
.........
Lycans Plane
The perfect vessel.
Ava couldn’t stop herself from thinking about the perfect vessel that they were talking about. The thought of sacrificing a lot of lives for this vessel was just a little overboard but it would be something that a lunatic who wanted to summon some celestials would do.
She closed her eyes.
The Shaman told her to try and visit the south pole with him. Matthew already told them where it was. All they needed to do was concentrate and easily access the place. Soon, she was able to access her astral state.
She looked at her sleeping body and then towards the astral projection of the Shaman not far away from her. It seems that he had been waiting for her.
"We should go," the Shaman said. For some reason, the Shaman immediately showed interest when he heard about the south pole. He thought it would be best if he visit it with Ava to see whatever it is that they were doing in that place.
She nodded and the two of them teleported to the south pole.
Just as Matthew said, there was indeed a large hole in the Southpole. Matthew claimed that this was guarded by Alien tech— or at least that’s what the humans called it. It was an extremely high-tech technology that would cause some problems to any planes or any aircraft that would fly near the area.
Surprisingly, not one individual was guarding the hole.
They soon found the entrance that Matthew told them.
Making their way into the entrance, the Shaman and Ava agreed not to go too far from each other. It was for their safety. After all, they weren’t exactly sure how powerful Aliah is. The thought that the woman had ruined other civilizations and realms in the past was enough to make them very cautious.
The two of them made their way into an entrance leading them to a different type of hallway. While the previous labs that Ava had visited were full of white LED lights in the hallway, this one was with blue or violet ultraviolet lights.
Why would they use ultraviolet lights at the entrance?
Ava and the Shaman continued until they arrived in an L-shaped corridor.
The Shaman signaled her that he would go to the left side while Ava needed to go to the right. Then the Shaman told her to leave once something goes wrong.
"Prioritize your safety," the Shaman said. "We don’t know what’s down here."
Ava nodded at that. She completely understood what the Shaman meant and she had no time to disagree. So, she went to the right side and soon enough she arrived in a laboratory full of humans in their computers. On the other side of the screen were some sleeping monsters that were bleeding?
Ava frowned.
Are they bleeding the monsters from the nightmare realm to death?
Then she noticed something.
The place where they put the monsters all had ultraviolet lights! Was it possible that these lights are involved in the monster’s survival?
Ava approached one of the large glasses that housed an octopus-like monster. The monster was hanging in what looked like silver chains, a dark bluish blood was dripping from the body of the creature. The blood would drop into a basin that was connected to the tube.
First and foremost, Ava’s not that smart. She had forgotten everything about elements or her lab class during high school. But she knew about reactions and stuff like that. If the blood is exposed to something before collecting it, there are going to be some changes.
There is an unlimited variable that one needed to consider in an experiment. The lighting, the temperature, and even the air around the specimen.
Knowing that the people here were obviously smarter than her, she is going to assume that everything about this place had its own purpose. Maybe even the location had its own purpose.
Now that she thought about it, the lab in Canada was in a very snowy place too.
Was it possible that temperature had something to do with these experiments?
Well, that is highly likely.
An idea came into her mind.
However, her stupor was interrupted by a familiar figure.
It was the man who ran away from the underground of the lab on the Lycan’s plane! While he was on the Lycan’s plane, he was always wearing a hood, hiding his scarred and rotting face. But in this place, the man wasn’t wearing anything.
Though, this time, his face was no longer rotting.
Still, she easily recognized him because of his scars.
"What is the progress?"
"We found that this blood is more effective to the specimen." One of the men answered.
"Good we shall use It for our next specimen... I will give you two hours to prepare."
The man pressed a button and one of the screens changed into... Samuel’s face showing his profile including his past in the military and trillium.
Are they going to use him? Ava’s lower lips trembled from trying to stop her anger.
"Two hours..." the man said. "It was the madame’s order."
The other people inside the room nodded.
Seeing this, Ava immediately made her way to the other rooms. She needed to find some sort of way to stop the experiment!
Sadly, she can’t just do something to try and blow up this place. She still didn’t know where Samuel is!
But she has to save him.
She checked all of the other glass rooms inside and realized that Samuel was not there. Did they place him somewhere special? freewebnσvel.cѳm
Soon, Ava lost count of the number of rooms that she had checked. Still, there were no signs of Samuel.
Although frustrated, she never stopped looking.
After realizing that there was still another floor, she quickly gained access to it and made her way lower into the place.
This time, she thought of looking for the control room. It should be located at the deepest part of this maze-like place, right?
If she found the control room, she already plans to change the temperature inside the whole place. While she wasn’t really sure if this would achieve something, she was willing to take the gamble.
"Hm?"
Ava stopped walking when she arrived on another floor. This time, there were no ultraviolet lights. LED lights surrounded a large hall that had some sort of black sign on the floor.
In the middle of the sign was a table with a woman on it.
Before Ava could approach the woman, she noticed the other people who also arrived. Unfortunately, one of them is Aliah.
"Are we ready?" the man next to Aliah asked his subordinates.
"Madame, with all due respect, I still believe that this is a bit too early for us to start the summoning. This woman isn’t as stable as he hoped her to be."
"I have waited for more than twenty-five years," Aliah answered. "This is a perfect time. Start it."
The man nodded and he approached a lever. He pulled it down. Almost immediately blood started to feel all the crevices on the floor.
Ava immediately frowned.
She hadn’t noticed the small crevices when she arrived but they too looked like they were symbols of some sort.
Using the crevices, the blood slowly moved toward the table-like structure with the woman on it.
Soon, the blood seemed to start moving on its own. It raised through the crevices of the table. But just as it was about to reach the woman, she started trembling.
"No!" the woman screamed. "Noooooooooooooooo!"
"What is going on?" Aliah asked, her face grim. "What are you waiting for!? Stop her! Stop the summoning!"
"Yes, Madame!"
"Noooooo...." The woman’s body started floating as her screams continue. Then she started floating in a vertical position, her arms were stretched out, her current position looked like a cross. A floating cross.
Goosebumps skittered through Ava’s body.
Then the woman stopped floating. Her head soon turned towards Ava’s way.
With her eyes still closed, the woman smiled.
"You are here," the woman said.
