South Pole
"What is happening? Was this an Earthquake?" Aliah yelled when the structure started to shake. She used her magick to support the ceiling. The fact that she cannot use her magick surprised her.
"Nero!" she called out. "What is going on!?"
"I don’t know. I can’t use my magick!"
Slowly, the ceiling started to fall. The two of them created a shield to cover their bodies but again, their magick didn’t work.
"The stone!" Aliah said. For some reason, the stone disappeared. She could no longer feel it.
"What is happening!??" Nero yelled as a large portion of the walls started cracking, debris falling all over the place.
But their questions remained unanswered as large debris from the underground facility started to fall, leaving the facility in ruins.
After about an hour, the once majestic facility that they had spent building crumble into small little pieces.
"This— " Despite the fact that their magick didn’t work, they were still able to get out of place with much difficulty.
"Hah... I didn’t think you would survive," it was a woman’s voice.
Everyone who managed to run outside looked at the woman wearing black. She had brown hair and green eyes. Tall and beautiful. Yet, the smile on her face was too sinister to ignore.
"Who— Who are you?" Aliah tried to gather her magick but it was futile. For some reason, her magick just stopped working. "You— Impossible!"
"I would like to talk but it would be useless. You don’t even remember me," Ava said. She pointed a finger toward them and a large portal appeared. "I am sending you back to where you belong."
Without waiting for anyone to say a word, a strong pressure sucked them toward the bluish portal.
After a few seconds, everything on the south pole disappeared along with the portal.
"That was quick," Matthew suddenly appeared next to him. "Being a deity grows on you."
"Thank you. Did you finish everything?" Apparently, Matthew created thirteen portals in each realm.
And they needed to close all of them, stopping the people trying to experiment on humans from crossing.
Matthew pulled her towards him in response. Then he hugged her, holding her waist in place.
"Done. But humans will soon start experimenting again. The thirst for knowledge and what they don’t know will never end."
Ava nodded. Matthew and her had decided to send everyone who doesn’t belong in this realm to where they came from. To someone like them who were considered gods, it’s as easy as opening and door and pushing someone into it.
She looked at the vast white snow in front of them.
"Shall we go visit them?" she asked. "Before leaving?"
"They won’t know us anyway."
Ava shrugged in response. Yet, Matthew smiled and pulled her towards a portal that he created.

HOSPITAL
ALASKA
Phil Woods frowned as he looked at the baby in his wife’s arms.
"I think he looks a lot like you."
"Hey!’ Marylis said. "He kinda looks like you."
"Well— why don’t we name him Phil Jr.?"
"Nope. We already talked about this! Not the Junior!" Marylis laughed. Despite being so exhausted, his wife was currently breastfeeding their little boy.
"What about Aby?" Phil suddenly said.
"No, Honey, Aby is a woman’s name."
Phil shrugged in response. For some reason, he couldn’t help but think of the name when his wife started her labor. At first, he thought of Ava then Eve. And now Aby. He knew it didn’t make sense but he thought maybe it was just because he was nervous? Or maybe it was the fact that he wanted a little girl that would look like his cute wife?
"Gabi," Marylis uttered.
"Gabi? Like Mama?"
"Why not? Gabriella is such a sweet woman."
Not long after, a nurse came to get the baby so they could perform some basic tests and let the new mother recover. Because of this, Phil had to leave the room.
He walked towards the vendo machine and used some coins to get himself some soda. When the machine refused to work, he sighed.
He was so excited and his wife had a very long labor. Now that the adrenaline has passed, he couldn’t help but feel exhausted.
"Hey!"
Phil looked back at a woman holding a can of soda.
"You left this," the woman had brown hair and green eyes. Something about her felt so familiar yet he couldn’t seem to recall where he met her.
Was she some sort of a model? Did he stumble upon an advertisement with her face or something?
"Thanks," he grabbed the soda and gave the woman a curt smile. He then opened the can as he turned toward his wife’s room. Without thinking, he finished the soda before he could even reach the room.
"Hm?"
He looked back. For some reason, he felt like someone had been following him. Perhaps he really needed to sleep, a low chuckle escaped his lips. Well... it seems that the soda actually did its magick, he thought inwardly.
After he finished it, he suddenly felt lighter. It was as if his energy came back. Well... he should just go sit with his wife and enjoy this moment.
Seeing his back disappear into the room, Ava couldn’t help but smile.
"Do you think he will notice?" she asked.
"No," Matthew uttered. "You think he would think about how you healed him when he just had a baby? He would have a very busy schedule very soon."
"Right." Ava nodded at that. Matthew was right. Phil would not even notice the difference now that he is going to be busy. But maybe... he would. Who knows?
Humans can be very mysterious.

HARBIN CHINA
Shaman Gaas stared at the steam of the tea as the cold air made its presence.
As someone who had been sitting outside for hours, he should have froze by now. The snow around him was thick yet he was sitting there unmoving, like a statue.
For some reason, the Shaman felt like something inside his head was missing and he didn’t like it. What he didn’t like the most was not knowing.
He wanted to find out about this missing information then he realized something he doesn’t even know if it was real. If it was, why would a piece of information suddenly disappear in his head?
He looked up.
Was it the cosmos’ doing?
"Hey old man," a woman suddenly sat opposite him. "It’s freezing... " she added. "Are you trying to kill yourself or something?"
He examined her.
Brown hair, green eyes. Human. She was wearing a black thick coat and a rather irritating smile on her face.
"Who are you?" he asked. She was not a witch or a shifter. Yet, she was outside talking to a strange man who had been sitting there alone. What could be her motive? Was she trying to scam him?
He was but an old man! He had stopped using money a long time ago. He frowned, displeasure written all over his face.
"What do you think of the view from here?" the strange woman suddenly asked.
"It’s serene," he responded. "I quite liked it."
"Isn’t it too vast?" the woman said. "The mountains from here are too huge and far and open. It’s too white. How do you find serenity in something so... vast?"
Shaman Gaas lifted an eyebrow. Again, he looked at the woman, making sure she was human. For the second time, he was able to determine that she wasn’t someone supernatural.
"Serenity is not something that you find in the size of things," he answered. "Serenity is something that you find in yourself."
The woman nodded. "You are right," she smiled. "I was silly to find serenity in such a vast place."
"What are you doing here?" he asked. Now that he thought about it, this place was quite remote. It was a place for tourists to watch the view of the mountains with a telescope. Yet, this spot has been closed today because of the snow.
"You should leave," he said. "The weather will only get worse."
"How about you?" she asked. "Why are you here despite knowing that the weather will soon get worse?"
Why? The Shaman frown at that. Why indeed?
"For someone who lived for so long, I stopped thinking about the why and started focusing on enjoying the moment. Small moments."
"You sound like you have lived for a thousand years," she chuckled. "I have learned a lot of things today," she said. "Thank you."
"You don’t have to thank me. I am but a small man who wanted to sit here and think about— "About what? He thought. "About life."
"Life is precious," the woman smiled. "It would be nice to live forever."
"Immortality is boring," the Shaman said. "Why chose to live a lonely life like that?"
"You are saying that because you are already old," the woman said. "For someone like me, a long life is needed. The cosmos is endless. There are things that I needed to do. Things that I needed to finish."
"The cosmos?" the Shaman lifted an eyebrow. "Do you know who I am?"
"I know that you are just an old man thinking about... life."
This time, the Shaman chuckled. Right. He was just an old dying man... thinking about life.
"If given the chance to live forever, would you do it?" she asked.
"That is a good question," the Shaman said. "In the end, I would choose to live forever."
"You would choose to live a long boring life?" she asked.
"Why not?" he answered chuckling as he looked at the cloudless sky. The world— rather the cosmos is endless. There are still things that he has not experienced yet.
"Despite being lonely, living forever exploring the endless cosmos doesn’t really sound so bad for someone like me," he turned towards the woman and discovered that she was already gone.
"Hm?" he lifted an eyebrow then he looked at the skies.
He then realized that he— was no longer dying. He was indeed right. The Cosmos... intervened.
A chuckle escaped his lips.
