Just then, a villager came to the door, saying he wanted to return the flashlight to his eldest daughter.
Jiang Hexi saw the person approaching and waved to him from afar, saying, "Uncle, I'm here."
Uncle Ge walked barefoot into the yard and returned the flashlight to her.
"My dear daughter, I've replaced two new batteries for you, so you'll have power whenever you need it."
Jiang Hexi joked, "Uncle, you must have caught a lot of fish last night. Did you make a fortune this time?"
Uncle Ge chuckled sheepishly, “Thanks to this flashlight, the light is so clear. We old folks have all made several thousand yuan.”
Seeing the old man's bloodshot eyes, Jiang Hexi said with heartache, "Uncle, you should go back and rest early."
Uncle Ge nodded in agreement and turned to leave, but Nan Xi blocked his way with her hand:
"Uncle, do you know how to kill fish?"
"I can."
"That's great! Could you stay and help us kill the fish? We can talk about the money."
"My eldest daughter has done me such a big favor, it's only right that I help her clean the fish, no need for money," Uncle Ge readily agreed.
Hearing this, Jiang Hexi was so angry she felt like her lungs were about to explode. She couldn't hold back any longer and said:
"Nanxi, you were the one who said you wanted to stay and kill the fish, and now you're the one saying you want to hire someone to kill the fish. What exactly do you mean by this?"
Seeing how embarrassed she was in front of the camera, Nan Xi immediately became blunt:
"I can hire someone to kill the fish, why should I do it myself?"
Do you have money?
"The uncle just said he doesn't want any money."
"Who gave you the audacity to expect an elderly person to work for you for free?"
Nan Xi's ears turned red instantly, and she was speechless after being confronted by her.
Jiang Hexi hardened her heart and said, "Uncle, you teach me, I'll kill this fish."
