Shao Zizhuo smiled self-deprecatingly, suppressing his sadness: "Because Dad did some wrong things, Mom left him. During this time, you were born, so Mom didn't know about you, and didn't know she had a baby."

Moreover, Shao Kezhen's birth was different from others, making it difficult to explain her existence to Guan Shanyue. Would she believe that Zhenzhen was her child if she wasn't born from Guan Shanyue's womb? Shao Zizhuo stared at her little face, which looked so much like Guan Shanyue, in silence.

Shao Kezhen seemed to understand, but she wanted to ask more questions. She looked down at the photo in her hand and immediately forgot her question. She shyly buried herself in Shao Zizhuo's arms, twisting and turning, and whispered in his ear, "Dad, please take me to kindergarten tomorrow."

Shao Zizhuo smiled faintly: "Are you willing to go?" So it was because he was afraid of being laughed at by other kids in kindergarten because he didn't have a mother.

Children's minds are both simple and complicated. Shao Zizhuo looked at the whorl of hair on Shao Kezhen's head, feeling lost in thought.

Shao Kezhen nodded, with a smile that could not be hidden in her tone: "I have a mother too, and my mother is very beautiful. I want to go to kindergarten!"

"Okay." Shao Zizhuo came back to his senses and pinched her nose lovingly, "It's time to go to bed. Daddy will tell you a story."

After telling the story of the tadpole looking for its mother, Shao Kezhen fell asleep hugging the little duck doll. Shao Zizhuo gently put down the storybook, tucked in the quilt for her, walked out carefully, held the door handle, and closed the door quietly.

Just as he breathed a sigh of relief, Lin Fu called immediately: "Zizhuo, is Zhenzhen asleep? If she is, come over and play for a while. Just let Aunt Wang watch over her."

Shao Zizhuo poured a glass of water: "I just came back yesterday, can you let me rest for a while, let's do it another day."

Lin Fu yelled, "No way! How can a welcoming party be without the main character? It's just one night of fun. Send Zhenzhen to kindergarten tomorrow and get some rest. It'll take a while for the Qinglian China headquarters to move in completely anyway. Alright, get out of here quickly. Let me know when you're here. I'll come down to pick you up. We'll move to a bigger private room."

In the bar.

The salesperson went to ask about it and came back apologetically saying, "Beauty, our boss had something urgent to do at home and left in a hurry after the meeting."

Guan Shanyue nodded and drank silently, with her curly hair spread out, as seductive as a mandala, making people forget themselves and feel lost after stepping into the Forgetful River.

The man in the booth next to her looked at her again and again, and finally couldn't help but stand up: "Beautiful lady, are you alone?"

Guan Shanyue was in a bad mood. He looked around without saying a word.

The man came over persistently and said, "Beautiful girl, let's have a drink together."

Guan Shanyue sneered: "Get lost."

The man lost his temper and stood up to scold her, but suddenly a man jumped out from the side and smiled enthusiastically at Guan Shanyue: "Mr. Guan!" The man was stunned for a moment and walked away in shame.

The person who came out approached Guan Shanyue enthusiastically: "Mr. Guan, why don't you come drink with us today?" He invited excitedly, "Mr. Guan, it's boring to drink alone. Why don't you join us? You should know everyone."

Guan Shanyue narrowed his eyes, unable to remember who the person in front of him was.

Seeing her puzzled expression, the man was stunned for a moment and introduced himself: "It's me, Ouyang Wu!"

Ouyang Wu? Guan Shanyue suddenly realized that he was the president of an industrial company, a wealthy second-generation. Thanks to Lanshan's investment and his own efforts, his career had developed quite well in recent years.

For some unknown reason, Guan Shanyue suddenly wanted to agree: "Okay, where is the person you're meeting?"

The beauty of several single senior executives in Lanshan is well-known to everyone, but one of them, Niuniu, is the jewel in the crown of a wealthy family, with a fixed circle of friends and no socializing; one, Wang Xi, is devoted to his career and is a cold and aloof flower on the mountain top; and finally, there is only Guan Shanyue, who always smiles but always gently keeps people at a distance.

But even so, there are still a group of admirers flocking to them. Even if no one succeeds, there are always people who continue to rush in with the mentality of "why can't it be me?"

Apart from official business, Ouyang Wu was flattered that the person who usually didn't want to have any personal contact with him was willing to drink with him today. "In the private room upstairs."

Guan Shanyue was already drunk. She chuckled and ignored Ouyang Wu's courtesy, then went upstairs with her bag.

Pushing open the door, the light bulbs flickered, a bizarre display of light. Groups of people chatted on the sofas and at the bar, clinking glasses and churning. Faint laughter drifted in from the clinking cups. Guan Shanyue's sudden appearance drew the gazes of everyone in the room toward the door. The howling singers suddenly stopped, and the microphones emitted a repulsive clatter. Ouyang Wu, enjoying the stares, was as delighted as a rotten persimmon dropped to the ground in October.

Guan Shanyue covered her ears in annoyance. The man quickly moved the microphone away and the sound disappeared immediately.

Guan Shanyue took the opportunity to scan the crowd. There were a few familiar faces, all CEOs of groups she'd done business with, all second-generation executives. The remaining few, though less familiar, looked like they came from wealthy families, judging by their attire. She quietly considered the family backgrounds of the acquaintances present. Logically, Ouyang Wu shouldn't have been invited. Based on his wealth and background, he couldn't possibly enter this circle.

When the familiar CEOs saw her, they were slightly startled, and then came over to greet her enthusiastically.

Guan Shanyue smiled: "You are still so reserved in private, CEOs."

A CEO smiled suavely, "Aren't we afraid that Mr. Guan will think we're not serious? Let's go, have a drink and try this wine. It's brewed in a private cellar abroad and it's quite fragrant."

For a time, Guan Shanyue became the absolute center of attention, and a group of second-generation CEOs enthusiastically accompanied her to drink.

The girl who was brought here was thrown aside. She was shocked to find herself out of favor. She looked at Guan Shanyue angrily and whispered jealously to the people around her, "Who is this person?"

Another girl munched on sunflower seeds nonchalantly. "This is Guan Shanyue, the CEO of Lanshan. A famously beautiful and wealthy woman, comparable to a wealthy bachelor. She's also incredibly self-disciplined, with a private life as clean as a blank slate." She rested her chin on her hand, looking over, and said wistfully, "If she were a man, or if she liked women, I'd be hell-bent on following her."

The girl was still angry and snorted coldly: "She doesn't look like she has a clean private life. Look at them, they are flocking to her."

Seeing her like this, the girl knew clearly that she was jealous that the man she liked was attracted to someone else. She soberly corrected her, "These men only treat us as playthings to kill time. We shouldn't and shouldn't have any feelings for them. Just think of it as a job, earn money, and live the life you want. Isn't it good to be in control of your own life like Mr. Guan?" She glanced at the center of the crowd calmly. "Besides, you harbor such strong malice towards Mr. Guan. It's really wrong. No girl should be deceived by rumors about her chaotic private life."

She added, "You stay here by yourself. I want to ask Mr. Guan some questions."

Guan Shanyue was surrounded by a group of people, all chatting with each other. She had a faint smile on her face, and the annoyance in her heart was accumulating more and more. She shouldn't have come. Drinking alone was much more interesting than dealing with these people.

She shook the goblet, and the clear lemon-colored liquor hung on the wall of the glass. She secretly decided to finish this glass and leave.

Someone brought over the dice and invited Guan Shanyue: "Boss Guan, would you like to play for a while?"

Guan Shanyue made up his mind to leave, smiled and shook his head: "I'll watch you guys have fun."

The man didn't force her, but took it himself. The three dice clashed in the dice cup, making a crisp sound. Ouyang Wu was heartless, huddled next to Guan Shanyue and chattered to himself.

The door was pushed open again, and two men appeared at the door.

Everyone around him stood up and made strange noises, as if apes were welcoming their companions. Guan Shanyue looked up casually in the chaos.

The person at the door had drooping eyelids, the shadows cast by the eyelashes obscuring his gaze. She looked down, and his nose and mouth formed a face of the person she thought of every moment in her dreams at midnight.

He has lost weight.

The earthquake shook the mountains, shattering the tranquility of the past and sending huge waves surging down the seabed. Guan Shanyue stared intently at the person before him, trembling uncontrollably, afraid that in the blink of an eye, the person before him would disappear again.

She met his gaze, and he saw an indifference that she hadn't seen in a long time. He looked at her like a stranger.

Guan Shanyue looked away in embarrassment and saw the person next to him. If he remembered correctly, it should be Lin Fu, the prince of the Lin family. He looked at Shao Zizhuo, then turned to look at Guan Shanyue, his face twitching subtly. When he saw Guan Shanyue looking at him, he immediately returned to normal and smiled politely, but his smile was fake and did not look like a joke at all.

Guan Shanyue reacted and realized that he knew what was going on between them.

In the story about Shao Zizhuo, she should be a conscienceless stand-in lady who spent Shao Zizhuo's money, used Shao Zizhuo's connections, and finally won Shao Zizhuo's heart, but just walked away.

She thought about it and realized that if her friend was treated like this, she would definitely not be nice to them.

The script was supposed to be about running with the ball and chasing his wife to the crematorium, but at some point, step by step, it deviated and they became an indefinable mixture.

But what can she do? She loves him.

She clenched the bag in her hand, trying to gather the energy to face him. What lay before them were four years of no intersection. They went from lying in each other's arms to becoming strangers.

The enthusiastic barbarians brought Shao Zizhuo to her. One of them introduced him to Guan Shanyue, "This is Shao Zizhuo from the Qinglian Group. You may not be familiar with him. He's a very low-key, large group. He's quite impressive!"

He then carefully introduced her to Shao Zizhuo, "This is Lanshan Guan Shanyue, a well-known strong woman in the industry who built her investment company from scratch."

Shao Zizhuo extended his hand, politely and calmly: "Hello, Miss Guan, it's our first meeting. Please take care of me."

Guan Shanyue looked at his hands. The second joint of his right ring finger was slightly convex, and there was a small mole on the palm. She estimated that she could make out the lines on his palm with her eyes closed.

But he said, since it’s our first meeting, please take care of me.
