"Why are the immortals from the upper realm entering the underworld and indiscriminately killing innocents?" Suddenly, a loud shout came. Wang Yao saw a line of ghosts in uniforms rushing in from the mall entrance, blocking his way in an arc. The lead ghost shouted the question.
"They came so fast! Now they know I'm an immortal?" Wang Yao sneered. Innocent? Human-made machines are openly sold in a shopping mall; what ghost could be innocent? Looks like I've alerted the underworld police. Perfect timing, I'm about to have a good time killing them all!
Wang Yao didn't waste any words with the underworld constable. He went up and there was a loud "crack" followed by a bolt of lightning. The constable was quite agile and dodged the lightning with a sway of his body. He raised his arms and thick black energy slowly appeared between his hands.
"Soul-Hooking Formation!" the constable shouted as he channeled his Yin energy.
The lined-up underworld constables shouted in unison, stretching out their hands. A black rope made of yin energy gradually took shape in front of Wang Yao, twisting and swaying like a large black snake.
Wang Yao didn't bother to watch what tricks the underworld patrolmen were up to. He just kept randomly throwing down "lightning" and "electric snakes" as if he didn't expend any spiritual power. The patrol leader dodged and hid, and was never hit by the electric snakes.
However, the lightning did accidentally strike the black snake a few times, but it only made the snake slightly lighter, while it continued to grow thicker and thicker, beginning to peer and slowly approach Wang Yao.
However, before the black serpent could get close to Wang Yao, it was blocked by a layer of golden light. When the golden light met the serpent, it was like cold water being poured onto boiling oil, making a sizzling sound, and the yin energy quickly dissipated.
The underworld patrols shouted in unison, and yin energy gushed out. The giant serpent danced and moved, its momentum still aggressive, even forcing the golden light to slowly recede.
As the underworld constable dodged, he had already completed his preparations. With a roar, a sphere of yin energy in his hand flew like a lead ball and struck the golden light with a loud bang, causing the space enveloped by the golden light to sway slightly.
As the yin-yang balloon entered the area enveloped by the golden light, it visibly shrank continuously, but its momentum continued, only its speed slowed down considerably, like slow motion in a movie. Seeing that this attack would be ineffective in a short time, the constable raised his hands high again to gather strength for a second one.
Under the combined attack of the Yin Balloon and the Giant Serpent, the golden light was indeed starting to falter. The black giant serpent's momentum grew stronger, forcing the golden light to recede rapidly at a visible speed. Wang Yao retreated repeatedly, his lightning no longer able to reach the constable, and could only be used to attack the Yin Balloon.
The lightning bolts and electric snakes struck the yin balloon repeatedly, but apart from stirring up a little black smoke, they seemed less effective than the golden light in extinguishing the yin balloon.
Wang Yao thought to himself that although he had learned a lot of immortal techniques, their destructive power was too weak. He actually had to rely on Hui Shuo to knock on the wooden fish and chant sutras to stop the attack of the underworld patrol. He, a dignified immortal, was not as useful as a fake monk, which made him very dissatisfied with himself.
If Hui Shuo didn't chant the sutra, wouldn't I be dealt with by a bunch of underworld patrolmen? It would be a complete disgrace to the immortals. He was feeling sorry for himself when suddenly his mind went blank. He remembered that when he entered the underworld, he had cast a magic spell on himself to make himself look like a "good person".
It seems they were truly blinded by anger, completely forgetting they had such a powerful magic spell left unused. Judging by the time, they'd been in the underworld for quite some time now; 24 minutes should have long passed, and their "good guy" status had probably already expired.
Without further hesitation, Wang Yao cast himself as a "good guy," then roared and leaped forward. Although casting himself as a "good guy" emboldened him considerably, it was still his first time using this technique against an enemy, and he wasn't entirely confident in its effectiveness.
Therefore, Wang Yao did not dare to directly confront the black serpent's sharp edge. Instead, he avoided the serpent and charged towards the underworld constable. As he charged, he continuously unleashed lightning bolts and electric snakes, attempting to interrupt the constable's power-gathering.
The constable was agile, leaping left and right in the shopping center. In a short time, Wang Yao unleashed no less than a hundred "Electric Snakes," with bolts of lightning rising and falling one after another, as if a lightning rain was falling around the constable, but not a single one of them could accurately hit him.
As the yin energy ball slowly formed again between the constable's hands, Wang Yao began to feel anxious.
A yin balloon and a black snake had already reduced Hui Shuo's golden light by more than half. If this one were added, it would be hard to say whether Hui Shuo could withstand it. While chasing after the constable, he reviewed the immortal techniques he had mastered and secretly came up with a plan.
Seeing that he was not far from the constable, Wang Yao suddenly released a "shock" spell, causing the constable to stumble and freeze.
However, the Yin Balloon in his hand was also completed at this moment. He shouted "Take this!" and the Yin Balloon flew out of his hand, heading straight for Wang Yao's face.
Wang Yao's "Electric Snake" attacks repeatedly missed, but his entire focus was already locked on the constable. When he noticed the constable suddenly stop, he had no other thoughts in his mind and quickly "summoned lightning" and "electric snake" attacks towards the constable. He didn't care about "watching the moves" at all.
With a loud "crack," a bolt of lightning struck the constable's head.
Just as Wang Yao finished casting his magic, the black yin energy ball was already in front of him. He only felt a black shadow flash before his eyes, as if he had been caught in a ball of black yarn. He didn't have time to dodge before the yin energy ball hit his face.
For a moment, both the constable and Wang Yao cried out in alarm, and froze on the spot. The constable felt a burning line of fire running from the top of his head all the way to the soles of his feet, as if an electric shock had passed through the center of his body. He felt as if his ghostly body was on fire, as if it was about to dissipate at any moment.
