He stared at Wang Yao, scratching his head, still puzzled. Before he fired the Yin Bullet, he had clearly shouted "Watch out!" to warn the immortal. But the immortal, who was of unknown skill and not very good, dared not dodge.
This Yin Bullet is my trump card; even a genius would suffer greatly from it. Does this immortal have some deep-seated grudge against me? Is this some kind of mutual destruction scenario?
However, even after recalling all his past and future lives in a short period of time, the constable could not remember where he had offended any immortals.
At this moment, Wang Yao was surrounded by darkness. The Yin Bullet was formed from concentrated Yin energy. Although the sphere was small, when it spread out, it looked like a wad of cotton wool, covering Wang Yao's face and making it impossible for him to see anything clearly.
The expected pain, dizziness, and even the stinging or freezing sensations did not occur. Wang Yao was still worried and checked every part of his body he could reach with both hands to make sure that all his body parts were still intact.
But he was still uneasy. Wang Yao had witnessed the power of this Yin Balloon, which was no less formidable than the intimidating black snake. If the black snake hadn't had so many constables following behind to reinforce it, it probably wouldn't have been as destructive to the golden light as this Yin Balloon.
Could he have been poisoned? Although Wang Yao guessed that this was probably the effect of the "good person," he was still quite frightened and felt a bit scared afterward.
It felt illogical that the constable had gone to such lengths to unleash such a cloud of black mist that was neither fragrant nor foul, neither hot nor cold, and only made it difficult to see. It was as if he had to be injured somewhere to justify it.
He tried to take two steps forward, still concentrating on sensing his physical condition, but unknowingly he walked out of the black smoke that was obscuring his vision. He saw that the constable opposite him was still glaring at him. Wang Yao saw that he didn't seem to be injured, and he couldn't help but feel suspicious.
His own "lightning-summoning" and "electric snake" techniques for killing ghosts were practically invincible, so why was this constable acting like nothing had happened? Had the constable also learned to be a "good person"?
However, when the constable saw Wang Yao walking towards him unharmed, his lips began to tremble violently, and Wang Yao seemed to hear the "clucking" sound of his teeth clashing.
The constable stared at Wang Yao as he slowly took two steps back. Seeing his strange expression, Wang Yao assumed he had something to say, so he also took two steps forward.
"Kill the ghost! The immortal is killing the ghost!" Unexpectedly, the constable suddenly turned around and ran out of the shopping center, shouting loudly as he ran.
"Damn it, I didn't kill you, what are you yelling about?" Wang Yao was stunned by the constable's shouts, still not understanding what had happened.
Little did he know that since he mastered the two immortal arts, "Summoning Lightning" and "Electric Snakes," he had never added any points to them, so these two immortal arts only had their initial destructive power.
However, since the head constable had achieved some level of cultivation and his body possessed a certain degree of resistance, the head constable's injury was not actually serious due to the balance of power, but his courage was almost shattered by fright.
After all, lightning is specifically designed to subdue ghosts. Since becoming a ghost, this constable had never seen a ghost survive being struck by lightning. At the moment the "electric snake" struck his forehead, his ghostly reaction and past experiences made him believe that he was doomed.
However, by the time Wang Yao stepped forward, he finally came to his senses and realized that he had actually escaped a calamity by sheer luck. He only thought it was luck, never guessing that it was because Wang Yao's attack power was insufficient. Seeing that Wang Yao had taken a hit from a hidden bullet but was completely unharmed, he immediately lost all fighting spirit.
On one hand, he was already experiencing unbearable burning pain within his ghostly body; on the other hand, his most powerful methods had proven ineffective, and he had just narrowly escaped death. The head constable, being a cultivated ghost, was quick-witted and immediately realized that he was no match for this immortal.
It's likely that the lightning wasn't actually unable to hit him; it was probably just a charade, teasing him. Even if the lightning didn't kill him, it was probably intentional on the immortal's part, like a cat playing with a mouse, playing with him until they were done.
Immortals are the most unpredictable. You've barely escaped with your life, why aren't you running away? What's the point of fighting?
The leader shouted and fled, leaving the police officers who were casting the "Soul-Hooking Formation" in an awkward position. They were locked in a stalemate with the golden light, and even had the upper hand due to their superior numbers and the use of Yin Bullets. If they held on, victory was within reach.
However, as soon as they saw their leader flee, the police officers immediately disagreed. Some wanted to follow their leader and flee as well, while others, seeing victory in sight, wanted to persevere. Still others hoped that everyone could discuss the matter first and reach a consensus before making any decisions.
As soon as the police officers wavered, the black serpent visibly crumbled and lost its power. The golden light then pressed towards the police officers, and the yin energy within the golden light was quickly dissipated.
Some quick-thinking police officer noticed something was wrong, shouted, and turned to run out of the shopping center.
The remaining police officers scattered with a roar, fleeing in all directions. The black serpent swayed, transforming into wisps of yin energy in the air, which gradually dissipated. The golden light seized the opportunity and soon spread to the entrance of the shopping center.
Some of the patrol officers were slow to react and were also enveloped in the golden light. However, because of their advanced cultivation, they only saw wisps of yin energy dissipating from their bodies. Although they were terrified and screamed, and their movements were somewhat slow, they were still able to run. Given some time, they could barely escape the area covered by the golden light.
