Chapter 128 Fighting Ghosts



Those who were agile had already escaped, and hearing their companions screaming behind them, they felt incredibly lucky and ran even faster.

Wang Yao finally stopped worrying about whether he had been poisoned or not. The constable's shouts had long since faded away, and he figured he couldn't catch up with him. So he took off chasing after the constable who was covered in golden light. When he got close, he didn't waste any words and immediately used "Lightning" and "Electric Snakes" to strike. It took a little effort, but they only managed to kill one constable. The others had already escaped Jin Guang's grasp and disappeared without a trace.

When he rushed out of the shopping mall and looked around, there was no ghost in sight. The entire shopping plaza was empty, except for the neon lights and large screens that were still colorful and changing like a kaleidoscope.

The alarms were blaring in the square, and the shopping center was filled with a constant cacophony of noise, giving Wang Yao a headache. He turned around and looked at Hui Shuo, who was still sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed, chanting sutras while striking a wooden fish. He then went up to him and called him to get up. The two of them walked out of the shopping center together.

"Father, Mother, where...where have all the people gone?" Hui Shuo asked in surprise, looking at the scene outside the door that resembled the end of the world.

"They ran away, they're all a bunch of cowards." Wang Yao snorted heavily, stepped to the center of the square, and saw that there were several exits around the square, each leading to an unknown destination. He stood there looking around, still furious.

Suddenly, a ghostly shadow flickered faintly at one of the exits. Wang Yao's eyes widened, and he shouted as he chased after the ghostly shadow.

"Father, Mother, where are you going?" Hui Shuo hurriedly asked from behind.

"Where to go? How would I know? Let's kill these evil spirits first."

Wang Yao was thinking to himself, but he didn't answer. He just kept chasing the ghost. He rushed into an exit, turned a corner, and there was another long corridor inside.
