"What the hell is this logic?" Wang Yao looked at the fairy maiden blankly, only to see her retreating, her eyes staring nervously at the immortal.
At this moment, the immortal had already gotten up, twisted his neck slightly a few times, and slowly walked towards Wang Yao and the fairy again. Step by step, his clothes fluttered, and he looked very ethereal. Wang Yao once again felt that this guy did not seem to be possessed by a spirit.
"Hey, he... he doesn't have a grudge against you, does he?" Wang Yao asked the fairy maiden, tilting his head.
"What grudge are you talking about? There are only the immortals from the Heavenly Court's office in the Underworld here. As long as they are from the Heavenly Court, who would dare to lay a hand on me? This immortal has a dull look in his eyes and is wooden in his movements. What else could he be but someone possessed by a spirit? Just hurry up and do it. Why are you asking so many questions?" the fairy maiden scolded.
"Um..." Wang Yao wanted to ask the fairy how to proceed, but then he thought that she was also a muddle-headed fairy. If she knew, she wouldn't have answered him like that.
He grabbed the interface panel and held it in his hand. Since the Five Senses King had already opened the Underworld interface for him, he might as well try to arrange a marriage for this person and see if anything changed.
While the two of them were still dawdling, the immortal had already come over.
The fairy retreated far behind Wang Yao, who was still fiddling with the interface panel, pondering what kind of match he could find for the fairy. The fairy, who was still about a hundred meters away from Wang Yao, suddenly leaped up, jumped into the air, and slammed his palm down heavily on the top of Wang Yao's head.
"Get out of the way!" the fairy shouted from behind. Wang Yao stared in astonishment as the fairy's hand grew larger and larger in his field of vision. He finally concluded that this guy really had lost his mind.
If this immortal had a grudge against the fairy maiden, he should have gone after her. Instead, he attacked her without any regard for right or wrong. He had never even met her before. This kid attacks anyone he can get his hands on. What else could it be but a sign of a bad brain?
Just as he realized what was happening, the slap was already upon his face. He heard the fairy scream "Ah!" and with that scream, a slap slid down in front of him. Immediately afterward, the fairy landed down, standing very close to him, almost nose to nose.
"Holy crap!" Wang Yao was so shocked that he jumped back.
He thought to himself, if he wasn't a "good person," wouldn't his head have already been blown apart? This bastard really doesn't hold back at all. If I don't help you find an extraordinary marriage, I'd be doing a disservice to the painless slap I just received.
The immortal saw that his strike had hit Wang Yao's head but then slid past, having no effect whatsoever. He stood there, looking down at his own palm, then at Wang Yao, a look of suspicion in his eyes.
"Your Majesty...are you alright?" the fairy asked uncertainly from behind.
"May good people live in peace, and I'll be fine!" Wang Yao retorted fiercely, then clicked on the clueless brat on the interface panel and began searching for the person involved.
The square was utterly empty. Apart from some flagpoles, stone lions, and sundials, there wasn't a single living creature in sight. A huge question mark appeared next to the immortal's head. He could only use his techniques on him, and techniques couldn't be used on anything other than a living being.
Wang Yao stared at it for a long time, but couldn't think of anything to attach to this spirit.
He couldn't help but curse Biancheng Wang in his heart, calling him a nouveau riche with no culture at all. Such a large square, with so many ghosts from the underworld, why not bring some ghosts over to decorate it? It's so bare, it's a waste of land resources.
He knew in his heart that even if there were ghosts here, they had probably already fled downstairs to escape the corpse energy. But damn it, didn't they know that he was going to find a match here? At least one of them should have stayed!
He was looking around, but the immortal opposite him had already put away his puzzled expression and stood there. Suddenly, from his eyes, ears, nostrils and other orifices, transparent things that looked like tentacles slowly emerged.
In a short while, the immortal's body was surrounded by layers of transparent tentacles, and his body was reflected in a distorted mirror, displaying bizarre and fantastical appearances.
"The essence! He is the essence!" Upon seeing this, the fairy behind him exclaimed again.
"Seeing this thing, I know what it is without you telling me," Wang Yao thought to himself. Watching the transparent tentacles rapidly grow longer and denser, wrapping around him from all directions, Wang Yao jumped up and fled towards the palace behind him.
If you can't find a match, why not run away? Those tentacles wrapping around you are like jellyfish on land. Even if being a "good person" works, it's still terrifying!
"Hey! Fight him! Why are you running away?" The fairy behind him was stunned when she saw Wang Yao running away. However, she was very experienced in combat. When she saw Wang Yao running towards her, she immediately dodged to the side and avoided him in a different direction.
Wang Yao's running speed was nowhere near the speed at which the tentacles approached. Tentacles circled around Wang Yao from behind, about to envelop him completely.
However, Wang Yao did not stop running. In no time, he ran up the steps of the main hall behind him. The tentacles seemed to be unable to bear the weight and slid off his body.
"Hey, fight him! Don't run away, he can't hit you!" the fairy shouted again.
"I hired good people, why do you need to tell me?" Wang Yao muttered to himself. But when he thought of those transparent tentacles that crawled out of the immortal's body orifices, he felt strange and disgusted. He never wanted to be tainted by them again.
As if startled by the fairy's cry, the tentacles that had fallen from Wang Yao's body, like thousands of venomous snakes, suddenly turned their heads in mid-air and pounced on the fairy.
