Without saying a word, Liu Xikai ripped off the top panel of the elevator shaft and kept yelling for Di Yun to run away. Huang Zhen, unaware of what was going on, ran to the edge of the elevator shaft to watch. Just then, Di Yun seized an opportunity, broke free from Shan Laowu, and teleported out through the hole Liu Xikai had created.
Then, the fifth guy fumbled for the elevator buttons below and actually started the elevator.
Due to his nervousness, Di Yun failed to control the distance and direction of his teleportation and crashed headfirst into the glass door of the control center, smashing a large hole in it.
Seeing that Shan Laowu was about to take the elevator to the ground, Huang Zhen hurriedly told the ghosts in the control center to turn off the elevator power. But Liu Xikai first ripped off the movable top panel of the elevator shaft, and then Di Yun smashed the glass door, which terrified the ghosts in the control center.
Upon hearing Huang Zhen's shouts, the ghosts didn't turn off the power. Instead, they rushed out of the control center and scattered like birds and beasts. The elevator shaft swayed and looked like it was about to rise.
Huang Zhen and Liu Xikai both retreated to the door of the control center, intending to teleport away as soon as they saw Shan Laowu exit the elevator.
Unexpectedly, when Liu Xikai ripped off the movable top plate of the elevator shaft, he seemed to have loosened some of the mechanical parts connecting the top plate inside the elevator shaft. The elevator car could no longer go up when it was still a hundred meters above the ground, and all that could be heard was the elevator car making a loud "rumbling" noise inside the elevator shaft.
Upon seeing this, Huang Zhen, Liu Xikai, and Di Yun quickly stepped forward and pushed all the sandbags they had prepared down the elevator shaft until it was completely sealed. Only then did the three immortals feel relieved.
The three guessed that Cao Xian had probably met with misfortune down below, so they prepared to return directly to Taiqing Immortal City. Before leaving, Huang Zhen also planned to shut down the control center, thinking that delaying the matter by even a moment would be good.
The three locked the door, and fearing that the corpse energy would leak out from the cracks, they even found some sealant to seal the cracks tightly. Di Yun was still looking for materials to repair the big hole he had smashed in the glass door, and Huang Zhen and Liu Xikai came to help.
They were busy when suddenly the sandbags in the elevator shaft were thrown out with a "thump, thump, thump." The three of them were startled. Huang Zhen even went to the edge of the elevator shaft and called out "Director Cao" twice, but there was no response. Liu Xikai shouted from the side that he heard Shan Laowu crying.
Huang Zhen peered intently into the elevator shaft, when he was accidentally hit in the face by a thrown sandbag. The three of them dared not delay any longer and quickly teleported away from the island to the sea.
In their panic, fearing that flying would waste their spiritual energy and worrying that using magic to cross the sea would be too slow and allow the spirit to catch up, they hastily decided that the three immortals would take turns teleporting to leave the underworld as quickly as possible.
Unexpectedly, they had not properly estimated the teleportation distance. After the teleportation ended, all three immortals fell into the sea. Although they immediately flew out of the water, the cell phones in their pockets could no longer be used due to seawater corrosion. This is why Cao Xian could not get through to Huang Zhen.
Since they couldn't teleport out of the sea in one go, the three of them simply let the teleportation end, fell into the sea, floated for a while in the water, and then flew out of the sea again to continue teleporting.
They drifted in the sea for a while, then teleported for a while, until they found the small island. Once on the island, they realized that in their panic, they had gone the wrong way.
This place is even further away from the exit of Taiqing Immortal City. If you want to go back, you have to take a long detour and return to Luoyue Valley Island.
The three discussed it back and forth, but still couldn't figure out how to get to the entrance to Taiqing Immortal City. Cao Xian and Di Yun both suggested taking a detour, but Liu Xikai insisted on returning to Luoyue Valley. So they were stuck there, and if Cao Xian hadn't arrived, they didn't know how long they would have continued discussing it.
"You're quite strange. Section Chief Huang and Xiao Di's idea is naturally the prudent one, but you insist on turning back. Do you want to encounter that spirit again?" Cao Xian was also puzzled by Liu Xikai's insistence.
"Director Cao, how can you be as simple-minded as them?" Liu Xikai immediately became dissatisfied upon hearing Cao Xian's words. "We could get lost even when we came out of the island, how could we not get lost after going through such a huge circle?"
“Once those spirits come out, they will definitely scatter and explore the entire floor. Which direction should we go to ensure we don’t encounter them? We’re going on an adventure anyway, so why choose to take a detour? If we just turn back, maybe those spirits will have gone somewhere else, and we might really not run into them.”
As he spoke, Liu Xikai looked at Wang Yao and asked, "When you arrived at Falling Moon Valley Island, did you encounter any spirits?"
"I didn't run into her," Wang Yao shook his head.
"What do you think? I told you, if you weren't so cowardly, we might already be back in Taiqing Immortal City." Liu Xikai suddenly became smug.
"What do you mean, 'simple-minded'? Who the hell are you talking to?" Cao Xian slapped Liu Xi hard on the head. "Do you even consider me your boss anymore?"
Liu Xikai rubbed his head with a wronged expression, but dared not utter another word.
“Since the other colleagues have all returned to Taiqing Immortal City, there’s no need for us to stay here any longer. When we arrive at the hunting grounds of Biancheng Prince’s Mansion, I heard from the fairy that there is a caravan from Pingdeng Prince’s Mansion there. Di Yun, you stay here and protect the safety of the caravan’s ghost.”
"Your main task is to add protective shields for them to prevent them from being affected by the corpse energy. Avoid spirits when you encounter them. Spirits pose no threat to ghosts. These spirits entered the underworld not to kill immortals, otherwise they would have just attacked the immortal realm directly. Why go through all this trouble?"
“So if you see the spirit, teleport away. The spirit shouldn’t keep chasing you. You can always go back later. The lowest level of the ghosts on the eighteenth floor are all ghost protectors. As long as you have a protective shield, you can protect yourself.” As he spoke, Cao Xian turned to look at Huang Zhen.
