They set up a large coffee table in front of Wang Yao, with a remote control and various fruits and snacks on it. Then they set up various tables and chairs a little further away from Wang Yao.
Wang Yao didn't notice what they were busy with, but when he got closer, he was shocked to find that these winged creatures were not human at all. They each had two large, black eyes on their heads and two long antennae standing upright...
This...this isn't a child at all, it's a giant firefly! Wang Yao was just staring in disbelief when the fat man covered in mud crawled in as well.
"Would you like to watch a movie or a TV series, esteemed guest? If you'd like to play mahjong, please take a seat at this mahjong table. We have a few mahjong experts in our crew who can play a couple of rounds with you. Alternatively, if you'd like to play Guandan or Dou Dizhu..."
"No need, I'm fine as I am." Wang Yao hurriedly shook his head. He was incredibly curious, wondering to himself, if the fireflies were setting up the carriage for him, what was this fat man? And where was the carriage? There was no carriage, only this one. Was he supposed to be carried by the fireflies underground?
Looking at their small figures, it seems... could it be this fat guy? But he's covered in mud, so it shouldn't be him.
"Honored guest, the journey to Beiwei City is quite long. You should find some entertainment, otherwise the journey will be very boring," the fat man continued to persuade Wang Yao.
"No need. Are you ready? If you are, then let's go," Wang Yao said, shaking his head.
"To show our utmost respect for our distinguished guests, the departure time is entirely up to them. You simply need to turn on the screen with the remote control and select 'Driver Management'."
"It would be best if our distinguished guests selected their entertainment options first, otherwise it will be difficult for our crew to get into this carriage once the train starts moving," the fat man continued, trying to persuade Wang Yao.
Wang Yao had no interest in poker or mahjong; he was simply curious about how the Yellow Express would run. He quickly bent down, grabbed the remote control from the coffee table in front of him, and turned on the screen with a "snap." Two options were displayed: "Entertainment Management" and "Driving Management."
"Wait a moment, esteemed guest! Since you are not interested in entertainment, I would like to invite two flight attendants over here to serve you at any time!" The fat man hurriedly called out when he saw that Wang Yao was about to start the Zhanghuang Express.
Hearing his anxious cry, Wang Yao stopped. He saw that the group of fireflies serving in the carriage had hurriedly left the carriage, but they did not go far. They somehow hung around the carriage, as if they were hanging big red lanterns around the carriage.
At this moment, the fat man came out of the carriage and busied himself for a while. Then, two women in cheongsams walked into the carriage with graceful figures. The two women were not shy and bowed to Wang Yao after entering the carriage. Then, one of them made tea and the other peeled fruit, and they immediately got busy.
"Distinguished guest, everything is ready. You can start the Zhanghuang Express at any time." The fat man crawled back in and said to Wang Yao before hurriedly leaving the carriage.
Wang Yao picked up the remote control, moved the cursor on the screen to "Driving and Passenger Management", and clicked "Confirm". He then saw four more options appear: "Free Forward", "Full Speed Forward", "Pause", and "Emergency Pause".
He moved the cursor to "Free Forward" and clicked "Confirm" again. A line of text appeared on the screen: "System recommended driving instructions. During Free Forward, the Zhanghuang Express will continue its normal operating procedures unless the passenger modifies the driving instructions..."
"The express trains generally operate on a pattern of alternating between low speed, high speed, and low speed, but there may be brief stops along the way. This is a normal adjustment made by the express trains, and passengers do not need to worry. Generally, such stops will not exceed 10 minutes."
Wang Yao was pondering the explanation of "freedom to move forward" on the screen when he suddenly felt a movement under his feet. He stumbled, and two beautiful flight attendants who were busy around him quickly put down what they were doing and came forward to help him.
"Please sit down, esteemed guest. Although the express train's start is smooth, occasional bumps are unavoidable," the two flight attendants said, helping Wang Yao along.
"No, no, I just wasn't paying attention."
Wang Yao felt two beautiful women flanking him from both sides, their skin incredibly soft and smooth to the touch, and two exotic fragrances wafting towards him. He felt a sudden dizziness, and immediately regained his composure, pushing the two attendants away and curiously looking out of the carriage.
Despite the darkness underground, fortunately, lanterns made of fireflies hung outside the carriage. In addition, Wang Yao's senses had become much sharper due to his improved immortal level, so he could get a fairly accurate idea of what was happening outside the carriage.
The wide, eight-lane road beneath his feet began to move at his command. As the road moved forward, the surface undulated slightly, like a calm stream of water slowly flowing.
"What is this...?" Zhang Huang's speed was not very fast. Wang Yao felt that although there were undulations under his feet, it was actually very stable. Except for when he didn't notice at first and stumbled a little, after a short while, it was no different from flat ground.
At the same time, Wang Yao also noticed that after the fat man who seemed to be in charge of this Zhanghuang Express got out of his carriage, he shouted something, and then saw a series of large objects falling from the ceiling nearby.
They fell silently to the ground and remained motionless. The fat man stood outside for a few moments, then slumped down, transforming into a long, snake-like creature that lay prone on the ground.
It seems that the fat man and those that fell from the ceiling are some kind of spirit, just like the fireflies outside the carriage, Wang Yao thought to himself, but he didn't know what they were doing on the ceiling.
