"Lord Yue Lao, please follow me and be careful to go down the landing light path. This landing plaza is currently at its peak, and the guards have specially opened a landing passage for this old man."
The voice of the Great Immortal Tongxuan rang out in front of Wang Yao. Immediately afterwards, Hui Shuo was seen holding the head of the Cloud Ascending Beast and pointing to the orange-yellow beam of light emanating from the humanoid monster's hand.
The cloud-climbing beast nodded in a human-like manner, its four hooves slowly treading into the yellow light, and then it followed the Great Immortal Tongxuan as it slowly descended to the ground.
The further down he went, the more flying spirits and monsters appeared. Wang Yao realized that this was a flight and landing zone. On either side of his yellow marker, there were many areas without light, where spirits and monsters were flying up and landing busily.
Most of the spirits flying around in the air are queuing up to land, but I don't need to queue and land as soon as I arrive, which is obviously because of my status as the Great Elder of the Tongxuan Immortal's clan.
However, Wang Yao was still quite puzzled. From the densely packed scene in the sky, he knew that there were quite a few flying monsters in the Huang Clan. If they could not take off and land freely and had to rely on this "landing pad", it would be a very troublesome matter.
In the four corners of the square, there were designated landing areas for helicopters and other flying machinery. Wang Yao noticed that there didn't seem to be long waiting there; one helicopter after another landed and flew away in an orderly manner, and there were only a few helicopters waiting in the air.
"Lord Yue Lao, this is the royal administrative district of Tianchao City, which is a no-fly zone. Everyone who needs to go to the royal city must land here and then walk to the royal city." After landing, Tongxuan indeed turned the donkey he was riding into a piece of paper and put it away casually.
He saw Hui Shuo touching the head of the Cloud-Ascending Beast, trying to make it shrink back down, so he explained to Wang Yao, who had used "Immortal Travel" to jump off the Cloud-Ascending Beast and come to his side.
"According to what you're saying, there's no helipad like this in other parts of Tianchao City? I was wondering about that. There are so many flying species in the Zhanghuang Clan, wouldn't it be too troublesome for them to land like this?" Wang Yao said suddenly.
"What the Old Man of the Moon says is absolutely right, but after all, this is not only the administrative district of Tianchao City, but also the political center of the entire Zhanghuang Clan. Controlling flight is still very necessary. Those in the clan who are not good at flying have repeatedly proposed to control the clan's airspace, but I do not agree."
“Apart from mechanical aircraft having airspace requirements, people like us fly with our six senses intact, can go up and down at will, and can control our speed at will. Why would we need any airspace control? It’s really just worrying unnecessarily,” Tongxuan nodded repeatedly.
Before he could finish speaking, the Cloud-Ascending Beast that Hui Shuo was trying to soothe suddenly roared to the sky. The flying monsters cried out in alarm, and people and horses fell over. Many more monsters fell from the sky like rain. This scene left Wang Yao and Tong Xuan dumbfounded.
"Elder, please quickly put away the celestial beasts. There are many flying creatures here, and something bad is likely to happen." The humanoid spirit in the sky hurriedly flew over, but dared not approach them, and only called out from a distance.
Upon hearing the words of the humanoid monster, the Great Immortal Tongxuan's eyes darted around, and his expression changed drastically.
"Oh no, Lord Yue Lao! I forgot that this Cloud-Ascending Beast is a celestial beast, and it has a natural ability to suppress my Zhang Huang clan. Please take it away quickly, or it may cause disaster!" Tong Xuan hurriedly called out to Wang Yao.
Wang Yao then realized that he had seen the beasts worshipping the Cloud Ascending Beast in the Underworld Beast Garden. He figured that the initial lack of commotion was probably because these spirits had much greater resistance than ordinary wild beasts, so things were peaceful as long as the Cloud Ascending Beast didn't go berserk.
However, once the Cloud-Ascending Beast roars, its innate power surges forth, and many incompletely evolved spirits are immediately suppressed, unable to control themselves, and fall down one after another.
Looking around at the dragonflies, butterflies, bees, and beetles scattered all over the ground, some lying motionless and others with broken wings or missing limbs, Wang Yao thought to himself that perhaps the disaster had already begun.
However, since something had happened, the culprit had to be dealt with first. Seeing that Hui Shuo was holding the head of the Cloud Ascension Beast and was at a loss, Wang Yao walked up to the Cloud Ascension Beast.
“Roar, is that it? The monk gave you a good name. Your roar is terrifying. I'm telling you, hurry up and shrink. We have things to do. If you keep standing there like this, we won't take care of you. Just leave.” Wang Yao said to the Cloud-Ascending Beast.
He had no other way to tame the animal, so he could only try to reason with it.
The Cloud-Ascending Beast shook its head, throwing Hui Shuo aside. Hui Shuo cried out "Ouch!" and lost his balance, sliding off the Cloud-Ascending Beast's back.
Wang Yao quickly raised his hand and performed a "wind-calling" maneuver, managing to catch Hui Shuo in his haste. Otherwise, falling from such a height to the ground would have been quite a shock for the fake monk.
"Hey, I'm talking to you, hurry up and shrink!" Wang Yao shouted, glaring at the Cloud-Ascending Beast.
The Cloud-Ascending Beast looked down at Wang Yao, suddenly snorted, and then roared. Good heavens, this roar once again stirred up a cacophony of howls and wails in the air, and another rain of spirits and monsters fell. Wang Yao discovered that he could actually see a few humanoid spirits in the rain.
"Not good!" Tongxuan Daxian exclaimed and ran towards the southwest. Wang Yao saw a helicopter with its tail pointing upwards, crashing headfirst into the ground and bursting into flames.
"Holy crap, is this considered a major casualty incident?" Wang Yao's heart tightened, and he glared at the Cloud-Ascending Beast, demanding, "I told you to shrink, why won't you listen? All you do is bark and scream!"
"Father, Mother, what's wrong with Hou'er? I rode it here a few days ago, and it was very well-behaved. Nothing happened." Hui Shuo asked, puzzled.
