"Hey..." Wang Yao wanted to say something more.
"Get out! Get out! Liar! Liar!..." Qinghe just stomped her feet and shouted, making Wang Yao's head ache.
Wang Yao thought that staying here like this was not a good idea, so he decided to wait until she calmed down before thinking of a solution. He turned around and left the secretary's room. He went to the living room and thought about it. He then left the room and went outside by himself, stroking the fat worm lying by the door and lost in thought.
"Lord Yue Lao, this is your dinner. What do you think it is?" Wang Yao hadn't been outside the room for long when a warrior from the Yi tribe brought him food.
Wang Yao was about to ask her to send the food directly to Hui Shuo's room, but then he thought that Qing He hadn't eaten yet, and the Yi Clan would definitely send another portion to Hui Shuo. If he didn't accept it, Qing He would have to continue going hungry.
He hesitated for a moment, then accepted the dinner, sent the B clan warriors away, and went back to his room in silence.
Upon entering the secretary's room, Wang Yao found Qinghe crying her heart out, her eyes swollen like peaches. He couldn't help but sigh. Thinking about it, it made sense. This girl thought that seeing an immortal would save her ancestor. It wasn't that easy.
Now that she's imprisoned, she must be filled with deep regret.
“No matter how sad you are, you still have to eat. Eat well, and I’ll take you out later so you’ll have the energy to go home,” Wang Yao advised.
"What did you say?" Qinghe looked at Wang Yao in astonishment.
“I said I’d send you out so you could go home. But I can’t send you back to the Liang tribe. Once you’re out of Muyi City, be careful,” Wang Yao said.
He had just figured it out outside the door. He had kept Qinghe around simply to use her to complete the mission of the Lone Monk Molupo. Since the girl was unwilling, he didn't need to force her. He was on official business in the Heavenly Court and hadn't stooped to the point of making trouble for a young girl.
After thinking it over, he realized that he had only saved the life of a little fox and hadn't lost anything. The fox had walked right into his trap to save its ancestor, and Wang Yao had been busy trying to save Xi Fu. Before he knew it, Wang Yao felt sorry for Qing He.
Since I can't help her save the ancestor, I might as well let her go. As for Molupo's mission, well, things will work themselves out. Without Qinghe, I can't complete the mission? That doesn't make sense.
With this in mind, Wang Yao made up his mind.
"Are you telling the truth?" Qinghe stared at Wang Yao in confusion.
"It's fake. I'll take you out and kill you later. You useless bastard, what's the point of keeping you around?" Wang Yao said irritably, shoving the food in his hand in front of Qing He. "Eat up, so you don't starve to death."
"Hmph, I knew you had no good intentions." Qinghe glared at Wang Yao, took the food box, opened it, and a fragrant aroma wafted out.
To be honest, the Yi Clan's protocol department is quite impressive. Just as Lady Lian said, they have several skilled chefs, and even the meals are prepared using celestial techniques. Even Wang Yao couldn't help but swallow a few mouthfuls of saliva when he saw them.
Hearing the noise, Qinghe smiled at Wang Yao, hugged the food box to her chest and started eating heartily. She was really hungry, and devoured most of the box in no time. But as she was eating, she suddenly stopped and tears streamed down her face.
"Little guy, you acted too impulsively and didn't know your place. Now you regret it, don't you?" Wang Yao couldn't help but say.
"Mind your own business! Be quick about it later, and thank you if you don't make the girl suffer." Qinghe glared at Wang Yao, wiped away her tears, and continued to eat heartily. Before long, she had finished the whole box of food.
"Let's go." Qinghe threw the food box on the ground and stood up as if facing death.
Wang Yao led Qinghe out of the room, glanced at the fat worm by the door, and couldn't help but scratch his head.
"Can you fly?" Wang Yao asked.
"Why make it so complicated? You could just kill me right now, wouldn't you? Those wretched women from the Yi clan sealed my magic, didn't you know that?" Qinghe retorted.
"It's so disgusting to see all this blood and gore here. Let's move away from here." Wang Yao led Qinghe down the corridor inside the mud pillars. Just after they turned a corner, they saw Lang Shuai standing there in front of his room, hands behind his back, looking up at the sky in a daze.
"Ah!" Qinghe shouted suddenly when she saw Lang Shuai and rushed towards him. Wang Yao quickly grabbed her from behind.
"What the hell are you doing?" Wang Yao shouted.
"You bunch of insect demons, I'm going to kill you all!" Qinghe struggled wildly in Wang Yao's hands, but she couldn't break free.
"Lord Yue Lao, what is this...?" Lang Shuai was taken aback and looked at them in astonishment.
"This little thing is having a fit of hysteria, don't take it to heart," Wang Yao hurriedly explained. "By the way, my subordinate's magic has been sealed, could you unseal it for her?"
"No problem, but... are you sure?" Lang Shuai hesitated, looking at Qing He's frantic state.
“It’s nothing… I want to take her for a walk outside the city. This little thing has been tied up for too long, and she’s a bit mentally unstable. Let’s see if we can sober her up once we’re out here,” Wang Yao said.
"Clan leader, what happened?" As he spoke, Pang Zhen came running up the corridor inside the mud pillar building. It was Qing He's shouting that had disturbed him. He was worried that something had happened to Lang Shuai, so he hurried over to check.
"Pang Zhen is here, oh... I forgot about that..." Wang Yao said, flipping his hand to pull out an interface panel. "Qinghe, how about it? I have a good way to turn enemies into friends, you know that, do you want to try it now?"
