Chapter 273 Releasing the Demon

Upon seeing Pang Zhen, Qinghe's face immediately turned pale. She hadn't seen Pang Zhen's appearance before, and her only concern was Pang Zhen's identity as a Mud Seed. But now, seeing Pang Zhen's obese body and his flat nose and swollen face, she immediately shut her mouth, looked at Wang Yao in fear, and dared not struggle anymore.

"I think we should wait until she's mentally stable before restoring her magic power," Lang Shuai waved to Pang Zhen and asked Wang Yao.

"Are you clear-headed now? You dare to go crazy in the Mother City, so if you're going to die, go die outside the city. Don't embarrass yourself here," Wang Yao shouted at Qing He.

Qinghe glanced at Pang Zhen, then remained silent.

"Have you restored her? We'll need her when we leave the city later," Wang Yao said to Lang Shuai with a smile.

Lang Shuai stepped forward and gently patted Qinghe twice. Wang Yao immediately felt that Qinghe's aura was very different from before, and a kind of ferocious beast-like power began to slowly flow out.

"Thanks, I'll take her out for a bit. I'll need your help when I get back." Wang Yao smiled at Lang Shuai, then turned to Qing He. "Come with me."

"No problem." Lang Shuai nodded, watching Wang Yao and Qing He walk back upstairs.

“Let’s go outside the city.” As they approached the door of VIP Room No. 1, Wang Yao mounted the fat worm and beckoned Qinghe to fly out through a nearby cave.

Qinghe's flight, however, did not require wings. It was similar to "fairy travel," simply riding the wind. The two had just left the Mud Pillar Building one after the other when Xiaojing appeared in the darkness, flapping her wings.

"Lord of the Moon..."

"Nothing much, I'm going to take a stroll outside the city." Wang Yao waved the interface panel in his hand at Qing He. Qing He glanced back at the Mud Pillar Building and quietly floated beside Wang Yao without making a sound.

"Lord of the Moon, please be careful." Xiao Jing smiled and disappeared back into the darkness.

The two flew towards the outskirts of the Mother City. Although the entire Mother City looked desolate and the Protocol Department building was located on the outermost edge of the Mother City, they still encountered several groups of patrolling B clan warriors along the way, but Wang Yao easily dealt with them all.

"What's wrong with you when you saw Commander Lang?" Wang Yao glanced at the fact that they had already left Mother City for some distance before signaling Fatty to stop and turning to ask Qinghe.

“He’s obviously a high-level character. It would be much easier to die at his hands. I don’t want to go through all this trouble, not knowing whether I’m dead or alive.” Qinghe said, glancing at the interface panel that Wang Yao was still holding in his hand. “You can put that magic weapon away now. It’s better for you to kill him than for him to be killed by a Clan B warrior.”

"You...you just went crazy, you wanted Commander Lang to beat you to death?" Wang Yao was stunned.

"Yes, the Holy Domain race is used to life and death. Since we have to die anyway, we might as well die quickly. If I die, Father will definitely sense it. He probably won't be in the mood to see those bastards tonight." Qinghe said sullenly, looking at the dark night before her.

"Fly a little further ahead, then you can leave. Be careful. This is the heartland of the Yi tribe. Although the number of Yi tribe members has decreased, that makes them more prone to overreacting and potentially more dangerous," Wang Yao said calmly, looking ahead.

"You...you're really letting me go?" Qinghe looked at Wang Yao in astonishment.

“Of course, I told you I would let you go, but you didn’t believe me.” Wang Yao urged the fat worm to fly slowly forward.

"Hey! Why...why...?" Qinghe quickly caught up and asked, puzzled.

"For no reason other than to tell you the truth, I don't have the ability to kill you either. You could have actually run away a long time ago," Wang Yao said with a smile.

Qinghe blinked at Wang Yao in the night, her face full of disbelief. Although she was young, living in a place like the Demon Realm, she knew that killing between different races was commonplace. The moment she was captured by the Yi Clan warriors, she was already prepared to die.

Her departure from the Liang tribe and her following of the Yi tribe was not, as Wang Yao thought, because she saw him as an immortal and fantasized about using his power to save her tribe's ancestor.

She had originally intended to die, but when she was truly faced with the life-or-death situation, her desire to live became uncontrollable, which led to all sorts of complications.

However, she never thought that Wang Yao would release her, because Wang Yao obviously had something he needed her for. Qinghe's proposal to rescue the ancestor was only to prevent Wang Yao from using strange methods to deal with her. She even wanted to provoke Wang Yao into anger and have him kill her.

Qinghe automatically avoided the path of obediently following Wang Yao's orders and doing things for him. In the Holy Domain, betraying one's own clan and serving the enemy never ends well, and as the daughter of the Liang clan chief, she understood this especially clearly.

Therefore, in Qinghe's mind, the best outcome if she were captured would be a quick and easy death. Conversely, if she lived, endless torment would surely await her. This was a concept that Qinghe, who grew up in the Holy Domain, had formed from a young age.

Unexpectedly, this immortal's behavior was quite different from that of the various races in the Holy Domain. He actually released her so easily, which made Qinghe extremely frightened. She wondered what other powerful methods Wang Yao had in store for her. She knew that the unknown was the most terrifying.

Qinghe is not afraid of death, but she knows that there are many things in this world that are more terrifying than death. For example, Pang Zhen, even such a terrifying method is abandoned by this immortal. He must be planning to use even more despicable tricks to deal with her.

At this thought, Qinghe couldn't help but tremble, staring at Wang Yao's back with fear.

As for Wang Yao saying that he was not capable of killing her, Qinghe did not take it to heart. After all, even if Wang Yao was not capable of killing her, she was not capable of dealing with Wang Yao either. And in Muyi City, there were definitely many people who could deal with her, Qinghe.
