Chapter 286 The Special Train for Migrant Workers

"Uh..." The rat with the dry hair looked at Wang Yao in astonishment, clearly at a loss.

“Come on up. If you don’t bring the child, the crying will be too noisy,” Wang Yao said.

“Yes, come on up!” Qinghe also stood up on the opposite side.

"Woo...woo..." The car horn sounded again from the front, and the rats outside the window immediately erupted in chaos.

"I'll do it!" Qinghe shouted softly, and her figure had already darted out of the car window in front of Wang Yao. She deftly stuffed the dried-haired rat, along with the baby in her arms and the luggage on her back, into the car window. Wang Yao quickly pulled them back in.

"The train is about to leave, hurry up and get on!" Feeling the train already moving forward, the migrant worker rats who had been watching the commotion couldn't help but call out anxiously when they saw Qinghe still on the platform.

But then Qinghe glanced at the migrant worker rats frantically climbing onto the carriage, and then leaped up, nimbly slipping back in through the window like a raccoon cat, drawing cheers from the crowd.

"This...this must be the legendary powerful being, right?"

"Of course, look at her face, how could it be otherwise if she hadn't fully evolved?"

"Sigh, we don't need to think about it in this lifetime. Let's just make more money and hope that our children will become great people in the future."

"You're kidding me. You think a great talent is like cabbage, something you can cultivate with just a few dates? Even if we don't eat or drink for a hundred years, we might not be able to cultivate one. The kids have to study hard and try to get into a good school. Then the clan will provide the funding."

The migrant worker rats in the carriage were chattering amongst themselves.

Wang Yao couldn't help but give Qing He a thumbs up, and Qing He smiled and rolled her eyes at him.

"Come, come, sit here." Qinghe gestured for the mother to sit in her seat. The mother stood awkwardly in the gap between the seats, her body pressed against the knees of the migrant workers sitting on either side of her, her luggage on her back occasionally bumping against their heads.

"I'm fine as I am, please have a seat, please have a seat..." The mother thanked her, her eyes darting around, probably wanting to put down her luggage, but the aisle was crammed with rats, leaving no space at all. She couldn't even find a place to put her own luggage, let alone any room for it.

"Put your luggage here." Wang Yao simply plopped down on the coffee table in front of him and stretched out his hand to his mother.

"You feed the baby first. The baby is probably hungry and keeps crying." Without waiting for a reply, Qinghe took the luggage off the mother's back and handed it to Wang Yao. She then forced her to sit down in her own seat. Qinghe then sat down next to Wang Yao at the coffee table.

"He seems hungry. I was in a hurry to catch the train and didn't have time to feed him." The mother smiled gratefully at Qinghe, took off her clothes and began to feed the child. As she fed him, perhaps she was too tired, and she unconsciously closed her eyes and dozed off. The child, while nursing, also quieted down.

Qinghe saw this scene, turned around and smiled at Wang Yao.

The train continued to stop at each station, and upon arrival at a station, there would be a burst of noise and commotion, but after it started moving again, it would quickly return to quiet, and the sound of snoring would gradually rise in the carriage.

Wang Yao closed his eyes, quietly feeling the pulse of the vehicle moving forward and the refreshing fragrance of Qinghe beside him that couldn't be masked by the car's sour smell.

Rats kept going down and coming up along the way. When morning came, the carriage became a little more spacious, and Wang Yao and Qing He left the coffee table and stood in the aisle next to their seats.

As the train approached the central area of the Shu ethnic group, more rats got off than got on, but the carriages were still overrun with rats, and all the seats were still occupied. Only the aisles were barely passable.

"Whose luggage is this? How can it be taking up a seat?" Li Manli's shrill voice suddenly rang out.

"Mine...my...it's mine..." The sleeping mother suddenly woke up with a start and hurriedly called out.

"Move aside, there aren't enough seats for everyone, and you're still putting your luggage there?" Li Manli scolded.

"Okay, okay..." The mother quickly put the child on the seat, picked up Wang Yao's luggage from the seat, looked it over, and then simply stuffed the luggage under the seat.

"Gentlemen, this is the breakfast we have prepared especially for you on this train. The conditions are simple, please forgive us."

Li Manli watched as her mother put away her luggage, and then a smile returned to her face as she handed two boxes of lunch wrapped in tin foil to Wang Yao and Qing He.

Wang Yao was about to refuse when he remembered that Qinghe needed to eat. She was a powerful woman and must have a large appetite, so he decided to let her have his portion. He immediately thanked her and accepted the food. He felt that the foil was warm to the touch, which showed that the special train for migrant workers had put some thought into it.

Watching Li Manli leave, Qinghe took the lunchbox and sat down in the empty seat where Wang Yao had left. She then handed the lunchbox to the rat mother who was staring at them expectantly.

"Here, have some. You're feeding the baby; you can't let him go hungry," Qinghe said.

"No, no, no... I have..." The mother mouse was startled and hurriedly refused. She then tried to put her child down and bent down to look for her luggage under the seat.

"You eat this, there's another one here." Wang Yao smiled and handed the boxed lunch in his hand to Qinghe.

"The food is alright, it's still warm, you should eat it quickly." Qinghe tore open the foil wrapping of the lunchbox and stuffed it in front of the mouse mother. A rich aroma of chicken wafted out, and the mouse mother couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva.

She was clearly hungry. Holding a child in her arms, it would be too inconvenient for her to take out food from her luggage. Seeing this, she didn't insist anymore and reluctantly accepted the boxed lunch that Qinghe brought.
