The two changed vehicles once along the way, and it was already night when they arrived at the embassy district.
The embassy district is an area consisting entirely of two- to three-story buildings, spaced far apart from each other, interspersed with large expanses of green trees and lawns, creating an excellent environment that feels like a paradise amidst the towering buildings of Cheese City.
Wang Yao and his companion got off the bus nearby. As they approached the edge of the embassy district, before they had taken more than a few steps inside, a dark figure suddenly darted out.
"This is the embassy district. Unauthorized Shu people are not allowed to enter!" The dark figure stopped five or six steps away and coldly shouted.
Seeing this, Qinghe and Wang Yao stopped. Qinghe pressed her earpiece lightly, intending to contact Wuying. Before she could even make a call, another voice suddenly rang out in the darkness.
“These two are guests of my Mao tribe. Leave them to me.”
"Oh, yes, yes!" The dark figure seemed quite wary of the voice. Upon hearing this, it kept saying "yes" while backing away, and soon disappeared into the night.
"Are you sent by the Heavenly Court?" As the voice rang out again, a lean man in a dark jacket appeared in front of Wang Yao. His eyes gleamed with an eerie green light in the night.
“That’s right, I am Wang Yao, from the Heavenly Court Investigation Team,” Wang Yao replied.
"Hmm, is this the Liang tribe princess?" The man in the dark jacket looked at Qinghe again.
"Who are you?" Wang Yao frowned and asked. Qinghe's identity was quite sensitive in the Shu clan, and he dared not reveal it easily.
“I’m from the Maozu Embassy. The Ghost is inside. Follow me. The environment here is complicated, so be careful.” The man in the dark jacket didn’t press further. He briefly introduced himself and then turned to walk into the embassy district. Wang Yao and Qing He exchanged a glance and quickly followed.
