"But in the Six Realms, beings in each realm are bound by the interface. No matter how hard the best among them try, it is difficult to break through the limitations of the interface. Therefore, relatively speaking, the Ocean Realm is more suitable for those who work hard to strive."
Caixia had clearly given this issue considerable thought and offered her reasoning.
"But... even in the Ocean Realm, can mortals become gods or immortals on a large scale? The vast majority of them probably still remain at the bottom of the realm, right?" Wang Yao felt somewhat confused.
"I really don't understand, how can you be so naive?" Caixia was getting impatient. "Becoming an immortal from a mortal's body is such a monumental achievement, how could just anyone do it? And on a large scale, even becoming gods and immortals? What are you thinking?"
"But what about immortals? Are they born nobler than mortals? Why are most immortals born above mortals?" Wang Yao ignored Caixia's attitude and continued to ask.
"Of course, becoming an immortal does not mean that you can rest on your laurels once and for all! Which immortal's path to immortality is smooth? You may not know this because you have a system, but which immortal in the past did not spend their entire lives in arduous cultivation? So even if their descendants enjoy some of the legacy of their predecessors, isn't that normal?"
“On the contrary, the Six Realms, like you, can become immortals simply because of the favor of an immortal. Is that appropriate? Is it fair to the other mortals?” Caixia asked rhetorically.
"But as you said, most mortals in the foreign lands are still at the bottom, oppressed by ghosts, demons, gods, monsters, and immortals. Is that fair to them?" Wang Yao asked again.
"Didn't I tell you? Inequality at birth is the way of Heaven! Those mortals are oppressed because they don't work hard! As long as they work hard, they will always have hope of being reborn in the Ocean Realm, unlike the Heavenly Court, where being reborn depends entirely on the grace of the Upper Realm!"
“If you ask me to choose whether to rise above others through my own efforts or through the grace of others, I can tell you clearly that I would rather live a life of darkness and misery at the bottom forever than accept the pity of those gods!” Caixia said loudly to Wang Yao, puffing out her chest.
Wang Yao looked at Caixia in disbelief, shaking his head repeatedly. He finally understood that Caixia was born in the Western world, and some Western ideas had long been deeply rooted in her mind. Words like freedom, hard work, and struggle, these beautiful and illusory concepts, had blinded her mind.
"What makes you think that the masses at the bottom of society haven't tried? What makes you think that everyone needs the pity and salvation of others? Doesn't need the protection of brave and powerful people? This is pure jungle logic, and I absolutely disagree!"
Wang Yao looked at Fairy Caixia and said, word by word.
“I know that no living creature in this world is born equal. Big fish eat small fish, and small fish eat shrimp. This is a common occurrence. But I always thought that the reason we want to make this world a better place is precisely to reduce the existence of such inequality.”
"To ensure that the weak are not bullied, the poor have enough to eat and wear, and that mortals have their own world and the underworld has its own realm, I dare not say that the setting of the six realms is absolutely reasonable, but at the very least it creates a relatively equal environment for everyone."
“We are not born different, and our fate is not determined at the beginning of our lives. Don’t talk to me about the myth of hard work. I know you can give me a number of stories about ordinary people in the world who became immortals or gods through hard work. There are always exceptions. I do not deny the existence of myths.”
"But we can't confuse the exceptional with the general. If we take the fact that we are born unequal for granted, turn a blind eye to the law of the jungle, and regard poverty and weakness as the original sin of the poor, then what is the difference between us and the wild animals in the jungle?"
"How could our world possibly get better? So I know that even though the Six Realms are not perfect, the Ocean Realm, where humans and ghosts live together and gods and demons coexist, is absolutely wrong! If the inequality of all living beings is the way of Heaven, then I am willing to sacrifice everything to break this way of Heaven!"
Wang Yao looked at Caixia and said decisively.
"So you think that because the two sides have different systems, the foreign powers will definitely oppose the Heavenly Court?"
Caixia shook her head. The two sides had fundamentally different ideas, and neither could convince the other. The debate about the merits of the Six Realms and the Ocean Realm had long existed in the Heavenly Court. It was like an unsolvable knot. She was too lazy to argue any further and simply pointed to the root of the dispute.
“This is my opinion. I believe that if the vast majority of oppressed people in the Western world truly understand the Six Realms, they will yearn for our system. This is the biggest hidden danger to the survival of the Western world. In order to prevent this hidden danger from occurring, the Western world will spare no effort to try to subvert our system.”
“If the Heavenly Court insists on the existence of the Six Realms, the struggle between the Ocean Realm and the Heavenly Court will never end. Moreover, even if the Heavenly Court really merges the Six Realms into one, do you think there will be any peace between us and those guys in the Ocean Realm who only believe in the law of the jungle?” Wang Yao asked.
"So, according to you, there's absolutely no possibility of peace between the Ocean Realm and the Heavenly Court?" Caixia stared at Wang Yao incredulously.
“Why not? Unless the Ocean Realm also establishes a six-realm system like ours, abandoning the law of the jungle and the mindset of beasts,” Wang Yao laughed.
"You... I think you've really gone mad. Do you think all foreign gods and shamans are as brainless as you? You need to quickly abandon this dangerous thinking. I've spoken to the Heavenly Court on your behalf..."
Caixia was truly shocked by what Wang Yao said. In her mind, the system of the Western Realm had always been more advanced and superior than that of the Heavenly Court.
She never expected that Wang Yao would have such a wild idea as to change the system in the foreign territory. It was truly overestimating his abilities and being extremely fanciful. Although she thought Wang Yao was unreasonable, she still wanted to do her best to help him out of consideration for their past acquaintance.
