Chapter 356 The Wildfire

With a "crack," a huge fireball shot out from Wang Yao's hand, striking the hedgehog monster head-on in mid-air.

Wang Yao seemed to sense the fireball bursting open with heat. Without waiting to examine the burning of the demon, he immediately turned around, straightened up, and began to flee for his life.

Damn it, he didn't want to go through the forging process again during the Qi Refining stage. He had to survive for at least thirty days. There were countless demons, and if he stayed behind, he would most likely be devoured like last time.

He ran for nearly a kilometer before realizing that he actually had a "sensory" ability and could check what was behind him as he ran. As soon as he thought of this, he stopped in his tracks. In his "sensory" vision, there was no trace of any demon behind him, only a raging fire.

Wang Yao turned around blankly, looking at the raging fire on the grassland. He had no idea how the fire started. It turned out that he had been too tense and had forgotten to use his "sensory perception" to observe the result of his "fire control".

Now he can only speculate based on his previous impressions. He clearly only used one move, "Fire Control," but he used most of his spiritual power before making the move, yet it only hit a hedgehog monster.

You know, there were hundreds of demons rushing towards him at the same time. Where did all those demons go? Wang Yao cautiously took a few steps closer to the fire. This level of fire had no effect on his immortal body. He was just afraid that there were still demons hiding in the fire.

As he drew closer, Wang Yao still couldn't find any trace of the demon; all he could sense was a large expanse of flames spewing heat.

"Damn it, did I burn all those monsters to ashes with just one move of my Fire Control? How can Fire Control be so powerful?" Wang Yao thought to himself.

He couldn't believe his own speculation, but the facts before him were clear: the thousands upon thousands of imposing demons that had just been there were now nowhere to be seen.

The fire in front of him was getting more and more intense, constantly engulfing the grassland. At first, it was just a small patch on the grassland, but just as Wang Yao was wondering, the fire had more than doubled in size, and the flames were burning higher and higher and faster.

"Holy crap! At this rate, the entire grassland will burn down!" Wang Yao stared in astonishment at the rapidly spreading fire before him, his worry for the monster turning into fear of the fire.

Wang Yao was a good immortal who valued the environment of the Six Realms. If this fire continued to burn, it would surely burn down the lush grassland. If this happened in the world before he transmigrated, it would definitely be a crime! Arsonist, he would be locked up in the police station, sentenced to prison.

Damn it, we have to put out the fire right away! Wang Yao immediately took off his old suit jacket and rushed forward to fight the raging flames.

Fortunately, the fire couldn't hurt him at all. He whipped the fire with his clothes a few times, then simply threw off his suit and started using his body to put out the fire. He stomped on the fire, pressed down on the fire with his hands, sat on the fire with his buttocks, and finally simply rolled around in the fire to put it out.

In a short while, although his shoes, pants, and shirt were burned to shreds, the fire was contained in Wang Yao's direction. However, the flames continued to spread in other directions, and the overall fire intensified rather than decreased.

"We can't do it this way, we have to think of something." Wang Yao stood up, staring at the fire in deep thought, as the firefighting reports he had read in the media before his transmigration flooded his mind.

"We need to establish a firebreak outside the fire first to completely contain the flames within the fire area and prevent them from spreading. Then things will be much easier." Wang Yao thought to himself, and circled the fire area a few more times to delineate the location and extent of the firebreak.

Then he bent down and started digging a firebreak with his hands as if they were shovels. He was busy with this when suddenly a cold light flashed in his "sensor" from a distance. He only had time to open his eyes wide before an arrow pierced through his chest from back to front.

"Damn it!" Wang Yao cursed under his breath as his body was knocked down by the immense inertia of the arrow. With his ear pressed against the ground, he heard the clatter of hooves, and soon two iron-soled hooves appeared before him.

"What is this Immortal Forging doing?" The young voice seemed somewhat confused.

"It looks like they're putting out a fire," another, more mature voice replied.

Why was he putting out the fire?

"How would I know? I must have lost my mind."

Should we save them or not?

"Have you lost your mind too?"

"But... what if the Howling Grassland burns down?"

"How could that be? This is the Samadhi True Fire of an immortal. We can't extinguish it. It will naturally go out when the spiritual power contained in the fire is exhausted. Let's hurry up and leave. It looks like it's going to rain."

"Wait... this crazy immortal doesn't seem to be dead yet."

...

Wang Yao returned to the cave in the God and Demon Forging Grounds with a sheepish look on his face, just like a newborn. He still had ten life-extending clones left, which he could still squander as much as he wanted, except that he had no more clothes in stock.

At his peak, Wang Yao had three sets of clothes. One set was what he wore after transmigrating. After experiencing Xi Fu's pitfalls and his bumpy path to immortality, he felt that one set of clothes was inconvenient when doing missions in the human world, so he bought another set.

While shopping and making money in the Demon Realm's Cheese City, he couldn't resist Qinghe's urging and bought a high-end brand-name suit from the Demon Realm. However, he wore that suit for a short time before it was destroyed by the powerful Liang Clan in Wangxiang Valley.

Now that the remaining two sets of clothes have been forged twice and are completely worn out, going naked has become a real problem that needs to be solved quickly.
