"I... the village asked me to come down the mountain to keep watch." Li Laicai was even more at a loss when Wang Yao called out his name.
"Go back and have the laborers send the wounded upstairs first," Wang Yao shouted.
"Uh..." The mountain path, including the secret passage and cave, was extremely narrow, allowing only one person to pass at a time. Wang Yao was carrying one person on his back, and Li Laicai was blocking the way, so no one could get through.

Wang Yao followed Li Laicai out of the secret passage and was surprised to find that many torches had been lit in the thatched hut where the passage entrance was hidden, illuminating the interior brightly. Instructor Tao, Mr. Zuo, and several villagers were talking there.
When they saw Li Laicai appear with Wang Yao, they all stared wide-eyed in surprise.
"Dark Moon! Wasn't he supposed to be dead?" A sharp-eyed villager noticed the injured man behind Wang Yao and exclaimed in surprise.
"I found him on the road, and he's still alive." Wang Yao loosened his bindings and laid the villager he had rescued on the ground.
"Quickly call Doctor Wang over!" Mr. Zuo hurriedly stepped forward, reaching out to check the villager's breathing while calling out to the villagers around him.
