Chapter 387 Gods Fight

Teacher Luo was clearly extremely ticklish. He laughed and cursed as he darted around the garden, trying to shake off General Pei who was chasing him. Just then, General Shan leaped down from upstairs and slammed his right palm down on Teacher Luo's head.

Teacher Luo reacted quickly, raising both hands in a moment of urgency and exchanging a heavy blow with General Shan. With a loud "bang," broken branches, leaves, and dust erupted from the garden, and a large, round hole appeared in the wall of the hall facing the garden.

With a single palm strike, General Shan sent Teacher Luo crashing through the wall and into the inn's main hall.

Having gained the upper hand with a single palm strike, General Shan did not hesitate and rushed into the hall through the hole in a flash. General Pei, on the other hand, lifted the curtain and entered the hall through the back door.

Immediately afterwards, a series of loud bangs came from the hall, and then the curtain of the back door flew up into the air, and Teacher Luo rushed out of the back door of the hall like a giant meatball.

His body seemed to be equipped with a mechanism; with a single leap, he jumped up onto the building behind the garden and directly into the room with the broken roof.

General Shan and he followed almost immediately out of the back door of the hall, chasing after Teacher Luo as they leaped up. General Pei, however, emerged from the hole covered in dust and dirt, and stopped in his tracks as he watched Teacher Luo's figure.

General Pei raised both hands, clenching his left fist and pulling his right hand behind his ear with his fingers grasping. Then, a flash of black light appeared between his hands, and an arrow appeared out of thin air, its arrowhead resting on his left fist while his right hand grasped the end of the arrow.

General Pei stared intently at the upstairs room, muttering incantations. Suddenly, half of the room collapsed with a loud crash, and beams of five-colored light shot out from the ruins, like a rainbow after the rain. Then, Wang Yao saw General Shan fall headfirst out of the light.

Before the people on this side even landed, General Pei's arrow had already silently shot towards the light. However, as soon as the light appeared, it immediately began to spin rapidly, turning into a disc with five colors mixed together: red, orange, blue, green, and purple.

The arrow didn't even hit the disc before it was bounced away and landed with a "thud" right next to Wang Yao's ear, embedding itself in the remaining pillar of the building beside him. Wang Yao didn't realize what had happened until the arrow was embedded in the wood. He touched his ear and broke out in a cold sweat.

Before General Shan even landed, he performed a somersault to stabilize himself in mid-air. He swiftly extended his right arm, and a long-handled hammer with gold rivets at the top appeared in his palm.

Wang Yao had seen this thing before. The guy surnamed Shan had planned to use it to smash his head back in Gale Fortress, but Gao Chong stopped him.

Over there, General Pei's second arrow appeared. He stared intently at the constantly spinning multicolored disc, muttering incantations. General Shan, on the other hand, leaped high into the air, gripping a long-handled hammer with both hands, and slammed it down like a meteorite, smashing it fiercely against the disc.

At that very moment, General Pei fired another arrow, but this time it wasn't a single arrow; instead, a barrage of arrows shot towards the disc like a machine gun.

With a loud "crack," as if struck by lightning, General Shan's body was suddenly thrown away by the colorful disc, his body, clutching the long-handled hammer, spinning wildly as it soared into the sky.

At this moment, Wang Yao's expression suddenly changed drastically. He abruptly shrank into a ball, muttering incantations. Giant rock phantoms kept appearing around him, clearly indicating that he had used the immortal technique "Iron Wall".

"Thud thud thud..." The sound of raindrops kept ringing in Wang Yao's ears as the arrows bounced off his "fortified wall" one after another.

Several arrows even pierced through his "impregnable defenses," the gleaming arrowheads almost touching Wang Yao's body. Wang Yao stared wide-eyed at the arrows so close to his face, his soul trembling with fear.

This was just an arrow that was deflected. If that guy surnamed Pei had shot it directly at me, I would have turned into a hedgehog.

"General Pei... General Pei, you... you damn well better aim!" Wang Yao shouted in terror.

Just as Wang Yao was shouting, the colorful disc slowly rose up. It passed over the dilapidated rooftop, hovered in the air for a moment, and then transformed into a dazzling light and shadow, flying swiftly into the distance. In the blink of an eye, it left only a bright spot on the horizon.

"Chase!" General Shan roared as he tumbled through the air, and a chestnut horse suddenly appeared beneath him. General Pei ignored Wang Yao's shouts and leaped up, a white horse appearing in front of him as well.

General Pei leaped forward in mid-air, mounted his white horse, and at that moment, General Shan's chestnut horse in the sky sprouted a pair of huge wings. With a series of chestnut-colored afterimages suddenly appearing, General Shan and his horse chased after the bright spot on the horizon.

Two magnificent horses, one above the other, drew two distinct streaks of crimson and white across the sky. They flickered a few times on the horizon before disappearing without a trace.

Wang Yao stood up shakily, stopped his magic "Fortify the Wall," and a dozen or so arrows fell from his body with a "crackling" sound. He didn't bother to look at them, and shakily took out "Immortal's Sorrow" from his pocket and opened it.

Without a word, he mounted "Immortal's Sorrow," glanced up to determine his location, and with a twist of his wrists, "Immortal's Sorrow" quickly rose and flew into the distance. Beneath his feet, a troop of divine soldiers hurriedly drove away the onlookers and surrounded the ravaged Yue Lai Inn.

The fight was brief, aptly described as swift and fleeting, but it still greatly shocked Wang Yao, as he was almost caught in the crossfire and killed by General Pei's arrow.
