Chapter 507 Bufu City

Not long after the police car drove away, sporadic gunshots rang out again from all directions, and police sirens filled the city. However, the police officer did not turn on the siren. He drove the police car slowly forward, blending into the dense traffic on the street.

"Why does it sound like a war zone here, with gunfire going on and on?" Wang Yao couldn't help but ask.

"Yes, our arrogant country doesn't ban guns. Every household and every person has a gun. If something happens, shoot first and then talk," the policeman said as he drove.

"Then isn't your job extremely dangerous?" Wang Yao was somewhat surprised. Everyone is just an ordinary person. You have a gun and I have a gun. Wouldn't being a police officer in the foreign territory become a high-risk profession?

“It is dangerous, but we have received professional training and are better than ordinary people. Besides, we still have to eat. If you don’t do this job, you have to do something else. Even if you don’t work as a police officer, you’ll still get shot every day in this arrogant country,” the police officer muttered.

The car made several turns, seemingly leaving the city and entering a garden where red flowers and green grass complemented each other. The garden was dotted with uniquely designed buildings that looked like something out of a fairy tale. The sounds of gunfire and sirens gradually faded away. Wang Yao looked out the car window, feeling as if he had been transported to another world.

"Is there a foreign god living here? Why is it suddenly so quiet?" Wang Yao asked, looking out the car window.

"What the hell is this 'foreign god'? This is an upscale community in Gans Town, Bufu City. It's full of wealthy people who have hired a lot of bodyguards with combat experience. Anyone who dares to cause trouble here must be asking for trouble," the police officer said.

"Oh? Where are those bodyguards? I don't see a single one." Wang Yao was confused again.

"Wouldn't it disrupt the warm and peaceful atmosphere of the Gans community if you saw the bodyguards? There are usually bodyguards hiding at that intersection. They only show up to question people who are not residents of the community and whose behavior is suspicious."

"Moreover, behind every interrogator, there are at least five or six backups hidden in concealed positions. If anything goes wrong, they'll open fire from all directions, so there's no point in arguing," the officer said.

As the car gradually entered the depths of this upscale community, Wang Yao discovered that among the clusters of lush flowers and trees, children were playing, and some adult foreigners were chatting and strolling in twos and threes, a scene of tranquility and peace, completely different from the tense atmosphere in the city.

The car left the Gans community and, after traveling a short distance, came onto a long iron bridge. Below the bridge flowed a rushing river, and vehicles came and went on the bridge. The sunlight slowly slid down from the other side of the bridge, and it seemed that another day was coming to an end.

After crossing the bridge, Wang Yao noticed that there were significantly more police officers patrolling the roads. Each of them had a spiked club hanging from their backside and a gun at their waist. They were scurrying around furtively, their eyes particularly fierce, as if they saw everyone as an enemy.

The buildings here are cleaner than those in the city center. Many imposing statues of foreign gods stand scattered along the streets. Apart from the hustle and bustle of the city, there are no more gunshots or police sirens.

"This place seems pretty safe, similar to that upscale community we just visited," Wang Yao said.

"This is the administrative district of Bufu City. If even this place is in chaos, wouldn't Bufu City be doomed? The police station here is three times the size of our district, but its jurisdiction is less than half the size of our district. Of course, the public security here is quite good," the police officer said with a hint of envy.

As soon as the car stopped in front of a building, Wang Yao saw two foreigners dressed in black suits and top hats come up from the entrance of the building, which had a sign that read "Bufu City Immigration Bureau".

"From Gans Town?" A foreign god blocked the driver's side door, bent down halfway, and asked the policeman who had just rolled down the window. Wang Yao felt two streams of magic sweep over him.

"Yes." The police officer was clearly very wary of the two foreigners, and nodded with a grim expression from inside the car.

“You can go back now that you’ve handed the man over to us,” the foreign god said.

Another foreign god opened the back door and nodded to Wang Yao. Wang Yao's "sensory perception" also swept over the two foreign gods and found that they were actually powerful beings at the Mahayana level. He immediately felt a chill and obediently got out of the car.

Throughout the entire process, the police officer didn't dare to say a word. As soon as Wang Yao got out of the car, he hurriedly drove the police car away, even forgetting to ask for the handover documents.

As the police car drove away, a foreign man turned to Wang Yao and grinned.

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Carl, and this is Jack..." He pointed to the foreign man who was talking to the police officer.

“As an undocumented immigrant, we are responsible for deporting you. We hope you will cooperate and not cause any trouble during the process, otherwise it will put everyone in a difficult position,” Karl continued to say to Wang Yao.

"How is my companion?" Wang Yao asked.

"Don't worry, your companion will be fine," Karl replied after a moment's thought.

"I'm leaving with my companions," Wang Yao said coldly.

“No problem, as long as you cooperate.” Karl shrugged and readily agreed.

This move greatly surprised Wang Yao. He originally thought that the two Western gods separated him from his companions in order to target him, but he did not expect that the two Western gods would not only not attack him, but also agree to let him and his companions leave together.

"Something unusual must be going on!" Wang Yao thought to himself.

“We have some work to do along the way, so remember, just observe and don’t say anything. Otherwise, like I said, it will put everyone in a difficult position,” Karl reminded Wang Yao.

“As long as you can let me and my companions go back together, I will naturally cooperate fully,” Wang Yao replied.
