Chapter Fifty-Seven Meeting

Wang Yao was unaware that Caixia, who had never experienced love, lacked sympathy for men. She felt that it was already a great blessing for a woman to marry a man, let alone have to bear his children and manage the household.

As a man, having taken such a great advantage, isn't it only natural for me to let her abuse me when I have free time?

"In short, don't rush to arrange a marriage for the Lion Roar Beast. It's not an urgent matter. Once I finish my work in the human realm, I'll return to the immortal realm to apply for merit for you. Wait for my news before you take any action."

As Caixia spoke, she nodded to Wang Yao. The spirit gradually faded into nothingness in the darkness, as if it wanted to leave. Seeing Caixia about to depart, Wang Yao felt he had countless things he wanted to say to her, but he didn't know where to begin.

"Wait...wait a minute..." Wang Yao stammered. Cai Xia's spirit solidified slightly, and she looked at Wang Yao with a puzzled expression.

"Um... here you go..." Wang Yao said, taking out the Awakening Token and handing it to Cai Xia. After Hui Shuo finished beating Ni Zhenlu, Wang Yao took the Awakening Token back from him. After all, it belonged to Cai Xia, and he naturally had to return it to her.

Caixia glanced at the Awakening Token in Wang Yao's hand and couldn't help but smile slightly. She knew how important a magic weapon was to a low-level immortal. Wang Yao's red thread was just a tool for the Matchmaker, but this Awakening Token was different and should be able to assist Wang Yao in his work.

Her guess was not wrong. The Awakening Order did indeed play a significant role in dealing with widowers, although it almost cost Wang Yao his life.

"Keep it. Consider it a gift from me. It's not some high-end magic weapon, but it's quite useful for you right now." Caixia said with a smile, and her spirit quietly dissipated again.

This...this is supposed to be a token of our love? Caixia just casually gave her this as a token of our love, but what am I supposed to do? What should I give her in return?

Watching Caixia disappear, Wang Yao suddenly felt what sweet trouble meant. He was penniless and didn't have a single treasure that Caixia would like. Dating someone and getting all the benefits from his girlfriend while he just lived off her was not his style.

On the lawn in front of the hotel, Wang Yao lingered for a long time, feeling melancholy. He felt that besides spending more time with Caixia, he had nothing else to offer. But his future wife's work was too busy, leaving them with so little time to date.

He has plenty of strength, but nowhere and no one to use it.

Back in the room, Hui Shuo was already fast asleep. After all, he was injured, and after eating and drinking his fill, he naturally felt sleepy. Wang Yao then took out the interface panel again and did some daily work. Although he was always busy, he still remembered to do his daily tasks.

It wasn't until late at night that Hua Tuo returned to his room and vented his frustrations to Wang Yao. It turned out that he and a group of medical and health department staff, including Sun Ke, had lost a lot of money playing cards. Losing money wasn't a big deal, but the problem was that they kept losing.

"Damn it, what kind of stupid meeting is this? We still have a bunch of patients waiting for us in Huadu." Hua Tuo said angrily. Wang Yao wanted to ask about Shang Wei and Luo Wenjuan's situation, but after thinking about it, he decided not to interfere. The old man had lost money and was very unhappy, so it was best not to say anything.

Given that doctors in China are compassionate and kind, and with him taking care of Shang Wei and his wife, nothing should go wrong.

Hua Tuo talked on and off until midnight, and before they knew it, it was dawn. Hua Tuo then asked Wang Yao to have breakfast with him. Wang Yao was immediately puzzled. They were all immortals, so why did they need to have breakfast?

"Are you crazy? The money for breakfast is included in the room card, so why not take advantage of it! Besides, the breakfast buffets at these hotels are quite lavish. We immortals don't need to eat, but if we really eat our way back, it won't be a problem at all to get our room money back."

"Moreover, from the perspective of immortals' own maintenance, eating is also a way to store energy. You have only recently recovered from your injuries and it is the time to nourish yourself. Why don't you eat? Even just tasting it would be good." Hua Tuo earnestly lectured Wang Yao.

Wang Yao agreed, and was about to leave when he turned around and saw his adopted son still fast asleep in bed. He couldn't help but sigh, then turned around and woke Hui Shuo up, telling him to go have breakfast with Hua Tuo. He then took the thick file bag and went to the conference room.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 8:00 AM, and each day is divided into three sessions: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Actually, the people in the office are all geniuses; they could have easily worked through the entire meeting without sleep or rest. But the hotel couldn't do that, as the staff have normal working hours. So, we had to adjust our schedules to match the hotel staff's.

The four hours in the evening were only secured after repeated negotiations between the office and the hotel; otherwise, the hotel would only offer a maximum of two hours at night.

The hotel has several meeting rooms, but the document bag already specified that it was the Alps Hall. This hotel is similar to the residential area in Huadu, with all the meeting rooms having foreign names.

The meeting rooms are all located on one side of the hotel, arranged one by one according to their distance on the map, from the Indukushe Hall to the Andes Hall. Wang Yao had studied high school geography, so finding them was not difficult.

Upon entering the conference room, although the immortals in the office were all having breakfast, it was clear that the group of immortals in the office had not been idle last night, as the conference room had been set up long ago.

A bright red banner hung above the stage in the conference room, with a row of large, golden characters that read "Special Symposium on Criticizing Pseudoscience".

Tables were neatly arranged around the stage, each bearing a nameplate of the attendees, along with teacups, paper, and pens. A hotel waiter was pouring water and making tea for each cup. Wang Yao recognized him immediately; it was Cai Xia, the Lion-Roar Beast Guardian, whom Cai Xia had mentioned before.
